I’m 6’6” so I’ve been really worrying about casting my noggins shadow…this is great info and makes me feel a lot more confident that I can fit in this 5’9” world😂…buildings coming together!
Thank you for the video. I can’t wait to set mine up. I have a question. At what height is your at? I have 10 foot ceilings and worry I may hit it with my backswing. According to the calculator I have to lower it 21.6 inches from the ceiling. My screen size is 144 by 90. Thx
Sir i have a small doubt finally you played some youtube videos on that screen . While playing in which mode was the projector set was it in the presentation or super bright mode can u plssss reply
I’m close to getting this projector. My only worry is if there is a new model coming out! How do you find this for home cinema, if you use this for that too?
I haven't heard of a new model but this model is terrific. Highly recommend it! You saw my videos on it the colors are incredible and the HDR is great. Cinema would be a beast.
would like a comparison on brightness. understand the clarity will be much better but more concerned about brightness. Looks like you do not have much extra light on in the room. Are you using a spot light for the hitting area? thx
Ya its much brighter especially on the "brightness" setting if you watch the video I show that. I currently am playing on the "golf" setting where colors are more accurate. My old optima 1080darbee was 3500 lumen and this one is 5100 lumen so much brighter. Yes I use a small spotlight on the hitting position.
Question: Was just installing mine (same unit)and I have a big problem, out of the box, the right hand side, both corners are roughly 2 blocks (on the grid) towards the middle and I can’t get it fixed. Can’t get the typical 16:9/rectangle shape regardless of the adjustments…. Any advice? Thx.
Thanks for the instruction and calculator link! We mounted this in our sim and it doesn't seem like we're getting full 4K. Wondering what graphics card you are using? We're running an Nvidia 3060ti with GSPro software. When viewing on a 40" 4K tv it is incredible - not so much on the screen which is 15' x 10'.
Hey...thanks for making this video. Quick question. I'm considering moving from the Optoma 1090HDR (1 year newer than the 1080 Darbee) to the BenQ LK 936ST. Is the BenQ pretty good for fast action video like sports? And I currently have my Optoma in the living room. Does the BenQ have a pretty bright picture in a well lit room (blinds closed but lights on)? Any feedback would help. Thanks!!
You are so welcome man! I think its great for sports. I watch NFL on it and see zero lag. Im not a video gamer so I'm not sure about video games, but I would think the PC would be the determiner of how the refresh rate is.
@@coreyskinner Thanks for the reply! One last question. Is it pretty bright with the lights on? I'm able to use my Optoma with the lights on and the blinds closed. Is that possible with the BenQ also? Thanks so much!!
@@coreyskinner what does a movie look like when it comes out 2.4:1? I'm planning to use this for home theater / golf sim and trying to figure out how the switching would actually look like. I'm wondering if 4:3 would work "better" than 16:9 if you were dreaming it up and had the space? But then the 4:3 to 2.4:1 for movies would look really weird without some black panels to go across the top/bottom. Curious your thoughts.

Nice! Yes need the short throw to keep your shadow out of the impact screen
Was hanging mine today and didn't know how tight to the ceiling I could go. This calculator was exactly what I needed. Thanks 👍
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching!

My ceiling is a little over 9 feet tall and its slighty too low. 10 foot will be perfect.

What is the screen size. In your opinion is this good for 4k hdr movies.
Yes it's great for 4K movies did you watch my video all the way through I gave samples of this. Plus my screen size is 14'x8' roughly

hmm should be fairly simple. Make the giant knob ajustments FIRST then go to the settings menu

Nice! I"m using the the Nvidia GTX 1070 with max Q design and its day and night. I know with TGC I have to change my resolution settings to 4K
