  • Welcome back to the channel
In this weeks video I show you how to replace rear rotors and pads on a 2009 Subaru Forester with a 2.5 L SOHC mated to an automatic transmission. You can definitely do the rear brakes on your Forester provided you take the necessary precautions and of course watch the full video. It can be a challenging job if you were in the rust belt but definitely not something that isn't doable in the driveway. I hope you find the video entertaining as well as informative, if you do please hit that subscribe button to support my work.
As always thank you for watching we will see you in the next one...

the recommended torque is given for unlubed threads, and with lube applied the pressure between threads increases so much that the bolt might snap. But how else to keep moisture out,or ensure easy future jobs?Perhaps the torque should be decreased a bit when tightening the lubed bolts.

Hey my friend. I get what you're trying to say. However it's not going to increase the torque that much. It also is recommended for the majority of caliper bolts that it is lubricated whenever they are reinstalled. Sometimes with anti-seize or grease and sometimes with Loctite or thread Locker.

WOW! There was only one "boys and girls" in the entire video! Much improvement. I might even watch another video in the future. The language can use some clean up though.

Hey I appreciate you noticing that. And yeah depending on the video sometimes I can be more frustrated than some and definitely ramp up the dirty language, thank you for watching.
