But an overlanding veichle? Your life depends on its reliability. And I'd never put my life on anything that's not Japanese and has proven its dependability.
So can you add an aftermarket fuel tank?, if you are going Overlanding, you need range, petrol engines are thirsty esp weighed down and at low speed. a 22-gallon fuel tank (if it gets 13 mpg) gives you a range of 286 miles. So some 143 miles out, with zero room for error, even adding a couple of jerry cans ain't going to extent your range greatly. Guess it depends on how and where you use your vehicle.
Reliability is a key ingredient any vehicle, especially an Overland truck. That's a significant strike against all FCA products, even compared to Ford or General "Knows Best" Motors. BTW, didn't GM have an off -road brand called "Hummer" some years ago?
Pretty cool, I love the whole safari vibe to the exterior with the metal rims and gator color. I like the flair of the more luxurious elements also, but they kind of clash to me. I think it would be cool if the bare bone style of the exterior design was carried through all the way, dropping everything that doesn't have to be there to lower weight and cost for the overlanding vehicle. Then they could have another rig who was all flashy and luxurious all the way for glamping.
Oouuu I like this! Sharp looking Gladiator. Starting to realize I don’t like the stock Gladiator but with some mods (or many in this case), it looks great.

I like the color and the camping concept. Excellent reviews 👍
That air system intergration is crazy cool
that rig is awesome. the rims make it look bad ass and the air powered blender seals the deal
I think it's more 8mpresive when you overland with minimal gear and weight the essentials and a hell of a capable rig is what I am getting fj cruiser
I love that Jeep does this.
Oouuu I like this! Sharp looking Gladiator. Starting to realize I don’t like the stock Gladiator but with some mods (or many in this case), it looks great.
When I saw the bone stock base Gladiator, I immediately thought of fleet Corollas. They're just that plain.
Noone’s buying base, except to modify the f outta it. There’s a pic online of a Rubi in silver with a GoFast Camper on it. Its a more reasonable daily that this one. But just as capable. If I get one for my next ride it’s prob what it will look like.
I want the j6 but with the overland stuff thats on the way out!
That’s what I’ve been saying
The mini beef jerky commercial had me cracking up.
I get that jeep had a marketing day but Jesus Christ how many more jeep videos should I prepare for this month?
Lamo. Keep those Jesus cruisers on! 😂
Agree though lol.
Come on TFL, you can't compare this to a Tacoma!!!. Specially when you want to depend on reliability!!!!!
That is a dream rig right there. Shame that in the U.K. even the base model will probably be very high :(
I'd be curious to know how close it is to its payload max as it sits.
With or with out the blender? :)
Never been a Jeep fan but this truck is awesome! Love the tent on top but the bar has to go, beers are better for camping trips.
I would have loved that back when I used to go on Jeep Jamborees!
Wow, this concept looks very practical. I love it.
Super build, except the silly bar, and the random stickers in the cab. I wonder how long it took a designer to place those.
I agree. The bar- for me- meh, but for some OK fine. The stickers though, smh. They make it look like a disney ride. You gotta earn stickers like that.
@@dadventuretv2538 agree, they come with time.
I was loving it as an overland vehicle until they proudly pulled out the bar. Then it became a tailgate vehicle
Kirk Daniel Carter i mean like 70 percent of jeeps will become tail gates for the first 60k miles until they get traded in and then the true off-roader/overlander will be able to afford one lol
Come on Toyota, bring back a practical FJ competitor (4 door) to the Jeep... Glad the gladiator is back, but not a fan of FCA quality and customer support. Even neater, hybrid version... :-P
Hybrid version? Are you nuts?
It's called a 76 or 79 series landcruiser.
Hopefully Toyota was taking notes on this. All these concept mods would be great on something like a 4Runner or a new smaller 4x4.
@@Ratchetanium what Toyota needs to do is make a better engine and upgrade the interior of their 4 runners and tacos.

Diesel. I Have No Idea Why The US Can’t Get The Diesel Option That You Can Get Overseas.
How is the gas can any less safe than strapping a can on the frame? Why "the least green" you could make it? PEOPLE WANT JEEPS IN OD GREEN!!
One word, liability. You strapping a can on your truck is your fault. Them providing a way to strap a can is their fault.
Seriously OD Green is life and it annoys me that they do not provide it..
With the reliability of dodge I think toyota has nothing to worry about. I loved my Rubicon but after a lot of $$$ and time under the hood I wanted something that just worked off road I am rough on my off roaders. I love my fj tho
One of my favor concepts really nice understate look but super functional and it doesn't hurt pocking fun at the going camping with glamor part
Gives me some ideas for my Tacoma.
mrvwbug44 be sure to post a vid of your Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville blender install 😂
Best part is, the Tacoma has a 110v outlet in the bed ;)
@@mrvwbug4423 LMAO I made a similar comment to someone way up there ^ about having the outlets to handle such trivial things. But it is nice that Jeep is finally copying or trying to copy some of the decades old ideas that others have already been doing. :)
"Tacoma Beware!"? Lol that's a pretty nice rig but I'll rather take a Tacoma, tough and long lasting. More reliability and less expensive. But if your happy with a Chrysler product then go for it, won't bash you for it.
@Myballsitchsomethingfierce some people prefer metal over plastic.😎 grandchild.
@@macariusfreestyle8521 i prefer my 1982 bronco with dana 60,s. than a cd or ipod.
@@phantomwalker8251 hey that's not a bad choice at all.
Holy crap. That's not camping!! Might as well just tow your damn house into the woods with you.
@@wildbill23c I'm right there with ya man.
@@wildbill23c I agree. Minimalists are a dying breed. ;) But all this crap people do to their vehicles over loads it and breaks them. So it is good for the parts and repair shops business. :)
Glamping. [glamorous camping] It's a real thing. Porta-potties and staff too.
in our club,we have to have showers,toilets.not 4x4ing any more..a couple were eating there normal cereal,in bowls,spoons,.while me & mate,chucked in the fire,bacon,eggs,bread,onions,,comment was,how can you eat that,.i said,im camping,its not every day.christ,get out & enjoy yourself for a few days,jesus..!!!.
The coolest truck I’ve ever seen 😎
I would sell my internal organs to raise the money to be able to buy one of these.
If you sold your internal organs you'd be dead
Great looking built
The rims are looking awesome
This custom truck has some cool features. Very purpose built.
These guys are on the Jeep payroll! I remember when they had a segment about overlanding and could not understand why the Landcruiser is considered the best overlander, even when they guy tried to explain "reliability" and there are no "Jeep parts in Africa"" but plenty of Toyota, they still did not get it. Your bias will never convert true overlanders who know the value and quality of the Toyota brand.
Exactly spot on 👌 we have jeeps in Australia but you'd never see them overlanding across the dessert or deep in the bush they are just unreliable. Toyota's and Nissans on the other hand you honestly wouldn't want anything else out in the remote outback
@@Hazardbone Yes, when I was in Afghanistan the only vehicle that could hold-up were Toyota. These TFL guys are on the Jeep bandwagon and don't realize that overlanding is international, not just the state of Utah in the Continental United States, Jeep is not even an American company (FCA) the worst car company on the planet!
Guess they have a hard one for jeeps and you guys have a hard one for toyota, lol.
@@Kferler i guess you like hard ons
@@Hazardbone no, I just observe people having a good time on hard ones.
But only if people could afford it. Sure would be nice to have though. Great video
Plenty of people can afford it. The issue remains.. it is only a concept. Thus you will NEVER see this in production. ;)
@@WW-wf8tu but not the masses of people for jeep to put into production. Which is a shame
That rig would be cool to go get some groceries.
they didn't want to show the liquor bottles on the video😂😂
They need to take the "way out" concept and expand the Mopar catalog with the tent, compressor, awning, bed rack, etc!
just wow Jeep is kicking ass
