This is such an inspiration to a black girl who loves metal and rock and always got told that they were "white people things". Thank you for showing that black music can also be more than r&b and rap bc i thought that was the only music where i could see people like myself in. Thank you
It's terrible it even has to come to that. All genres of music should be open to anyone no matter their skin colour. Shame on anyone that calls a certain style "White people things" or "Black people things"
In metal, the only thing "black" represents is gruff vocals, baby. We don't discriminate, except between those who can play and those who can't.

Rock came from the blues, metal came from rock , all modern has black influences… Too bad so many artists drifted only into R&B and Rap... Only in it or the bling and money probably.
Listening to her voice is like touching silk, it's smooth and beautiful. This is a good band, I like their sound.
Her voice is such a beautiful shade of emerald. She’s one of the few green voices I’ve ever seen.

This tune is just magnificent from start to finish. So impressive and Cammie's vocals are exceptional. It is very rare for a band to make such a massive impact, but we cannot wait for more....

Ugh, this has such an Anathema feel to it and I can't get enough. Loving the newer stuff as well but this song captures the haunted feeling of the past so masterfully.

I love how this song just builds and builds. Starts out with simple beauty and by the climax it's nearly full on black metal. Probably one of the best prog metal songs ever made.

An excellent show last night in Athens, Greece - a conglomerate of black, icy, metal sounds, melodies, divine vocals, unstoppable drum fills, distorted twin guitars and a bass player with scary shouts - hard to classify in a given sub genre, very unique and retro at the same time

This is my favourite song, full stop. Of any band, any genre, any decade. I just wish I had discovered these guys years earlier. Musically just a masterpiece, from start to finish only matched by Cammie’s flawless vocals. I love it! Oh and by the way, their other stuff is awesome too - check them out if you haven’t already!!

Cammie Glibert is her name 😁 and she said in an interview that she was always looking for more "oomph" in music, like there is with metal because of the music she grew up with she wanted something more. She said "with this, I can have no limitations, no boundaries, I can do what I want, which is satisfying as a musician and as an artist" she loves what she's doing, and she is doing something groundbreaking in my opinion. I personally love her presence in this band, it shows that metal isn't limited to just white men, not that women haven't been in the metal scene I'm not saying that, but I'm saying that having her as the frontwoman will serve as a role model for others like her who were maybe hesitant to make a change in that steryotype.
