Drummer should be awarded with the nobel prize. One of the hardest drum rhythm I've ever heard. So easy to lose control.

+aporia82 Definitely! Slower drumming is actually very tricky. Have you watched the "Symphony For The Lost" DVD? The drummer loses the beat at the beginning of "Victims Of The Past". I'm not criticizing him; in fact, the song's intro is so slow it's very easy to lose the pace.

Very monotonous drummer, I'd say. If you compare with Lee Morris (any fill or riff - just try that bloody bouncy one in 'Hallowed Land') or Matthew Archer (fills for 'As I Die', 'Gothic' and so many more), Erlandsson is in a coma...

+Souhaib Trabelsi or more like it speaks about our current political situation where the pretenders play their hands and blame it on something completely different. all the chaos panic and destruction have been laid and our leaders fail to gurantee our safety even in our own homes. houses been set to fire and those who lost their favorite ones in the flames has nothing to look up to and live for. the higer power can't do anything about it but to sit and wait, and the evil that lurks in the shade of daylight does no less than wreck more havoc on the weak and just smile and wave

It's just slighly over the population of Finland so it's not that much. Even if a more extreme band like Behemoth releases it's album it goes straight to #1. I turned into metal in the confirmation camp through Sepultura's Chaos A.D. album. Metal is mainstream here. And I'm sure there are many other videos here with this song, not just this one and also many more on other platforms so I would not be worried.

Am I the only one who feels this song is borderline Funeral Doom? I mean yeah Paradise Lost are UK Death Doom/Goth Metal/Electronic depending on what time period/era we are referring to.....but this went all-out on this particular song in the fucking utter and decrepit rotting misery feels.
BTW, this is the absolute best PL album since "Draconian Times"....really an excellent mixture of all the best elements/moments from their classic first 5 albums all rolled into one album.
