Her style is very original. She's not your typical female metal vocalist. And she's just amazing anyway. Loving the freshness of her approach. The band was pretty damn good too.
Why does skin colour matter? No one is stopping a coloured person from performing music that they like. If they have talent and are good at it, let us judge them on their merits rather than focusing on skin for once. I know plenty of Chinese black metal bands for example who are all underground but are absolutely fantastic and nail what they do in every way. We all have rights in a Western civilisation to create metal music, though I understand not EVERYONE is interested in making it.

I don't disagree with you. However, it is rare to see a female who is black in a metal band though. I think that's what tripped most people up. I wasn't expecting it lol. I can't think of another metal band where that's the case. Whatever though, good tunes are good tunes. Metal is for everyone.

1:30am driving on a very dark and wet Rt.30 in rural Pennsylvania. Sirius/XM radio. Liquid metal. This song cranking thru the speakers. Every note of vocals and instrument ringing clear. A chilling vibe, almost on the verge of being scary. A masterpiece of a song. It has been a long time since a song gave me that "DAMN THIS IS AWESOME" feeling. Gotta go with 10/10 rating.
