Congratulations on the 1st place James ! The Audi looks great on video but even better in person. It was a pleasure to meet you at the show and chat about your models.
Another great easy to follow video. Sharp images make for easy, clear viewing. Model Audi looks super realistic. Congratulations on your First Place award in the model show - richly deserved. Thanks a lot for sharing!
mate - that looks amazing! I found the hardest/most annoying thing about AM kits are the window wipers - more specifically - the instructions for them, They are awful at showing you how to bend the properly. If your looking for a video idea, how about doing a video on how to fold AM window wipers? :D
Congrats james with the Nr 1 Reward. That red is a perfect color for that car. Bob Smith is hands down the best superglue. Although here in Europe quit expensive about $21,- a bottle, it is worth every penny. Not buying Loctide or any other brands anymore. For the glue on that windows i use a old airbrush needle, heated it up with a cigaret-lighter and bend the tip a bit. Now i got a very neat glue-applicator from the trash bin.Because that needle was from a broken A-B.
Thanks Onix, yes I found that I like NATO black better for interiors because even a 1:1 isn’t black but several tones and hues of black/grey. Thanks for your support 👍
That's amazing James, I really like the final outcome of this Audi. Fantastic colour choice and love the final ride height too 👍🏼 Thanks for all the tips, especially the windows one ☺️ Well done for 1st place and looking forward for the BMW updates too 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks Karl, I did not modify the ride height at all, it’s kit stock. Don’t forget to take the clear protective film off the bottom of the glass before applying glue (don’t ask why I say that). I look forward to seeing your Supra progress.
Cool build video!! And congratulations with the 1st place on the show!! Maybe I'll buy and build a resin kit after all... (After I've build my 20-something Corvette kits😁)
Thanks for watching Wiggo! The funny thing about these resin kits is they are only available for a short time before they are sold out. Then a different one comes out. They rarely reissue them.
Your Audi looks Great James!!! I couldn't understand what chrome you used on the exhaust? I do fret installing the P1s windows. Congrats on the hardware. Thanks for sharing
Hi Mike, thanks for watching. The exhaust I did in Gaia colors chrome over cleared black paint. It’s a very durable chrome compared to the others out there. As for the windows, tiny dots of SG directly on the window black trim then place and hold. Less mess.
For the interior colors, did you cover with a semi gloss or is that the LP tan and nato black direct from the bottle? Asking only because it doesn’t look the typical flat color. I don’t use the LP and only acrylic Tamiya and find that if you don’t semigloss then it just doesn’t quite look right. Beautiful work. I love how you make this all look so easy! 🤣
What a beauty you made of it! What colour did you use for the exhaust? And how did you do the wheels made looking that great (or which video is it in? Congrats with yor price!
Thank you so much! The exhaust was painted black, clear coated then airbrushed with Gaia Colors Chrome. I did not film the wheels. They are painted black, applied PE then matte coated.
With the right background photo, you would think that was a real car, James!
Wow thanks so much JD 👍 I suppose some photo shopping could make it look real.

Likewise, it was cool to hang out with you. Thanks for the support 👍

Thats a nice build. I like that you used the nato black instead of just making the interior all black.
Thanks Onix, yes I found that I like NATO black better for interiors because even a 1:1 isn’t black but several tones and hues of black/grey. Thanks for your support 👍

I was wondering do you ever shop plaza Japan for model kits
@carlkandetzki9077 I use HLJ Hobby Link Japan, 1999, Hobby Easy, and Hobby Search. Whichever store has all that I want at once to save on shipping.
Beautiful build. Seems like a nice kit.
Thanks so much for watching, it really is an easy kit to build.

Great job for tiny model
Thank you so much for watching, I’m glad that you enjoyed the video 👍
Very nice tips James!!!! Been wanting to try one.
Hi Terry, they make into really nice shelf models. A little pricey but the subject matter and detail parts justifies the price.
looks killer, James!
Thanks Tom!
Mr James your Audi look awesome it look very much 1/1 as some of your other subs. also mentioned!!
Thank you Willy for watching and supporting the channel. 👍
Outstanding!!

Great looking build!,and a well deserved reward,i have really considered buying this kit.
Thanks Curtis! They really are easy builds but just take time with all the details. I appreciate you watching and leaving me a comment👍

Hi Spencer, I did use a semi gloss clear over the flat paint and PE on the interior pieces to make them all the same sheen.
@@ScaleModelExperiment ah nice. I love how it all turned out. Really beautiful interior with that tan color.
@@ScaleAutoGarage thanks Brother!

@@ScaleModelExperiment Thanks for the answer! Sounds and looks similar like Alclad (or A-Stand nowadays).
@OnnoWeeda Alclad is much cheaper too. I bought the Gaia chrome in Japan and it was even expensive there.
@@ScaleModelExperiment Alclad is great, though quite vulnerable.
@OnnoWeeda I never was able to use Alclad effectively. The Gaia Chrome is very forgiving.
