  • The Grimmspeed turbo inlet is most definitely a better product than this. However, I bought the PLM an entire year before the Grimmspeed inlet came out. If I would've known the Grimmspeed turbo inlet was in R&D I would've waited and got that one. It turned out to not even be a leak in the stock inlet.
As for the PLM/Perrin turbo inlet, I definitely feel like it helps the turbo spool a little bit quicker. I did not get a tune when I installed these parts in the video. I'm fairly certain it helped make the pops much more consistent when letting off the gas at certain RPMs under certain load.
Also, if I would've known Grimmspeed was gonna come out with a bypass valve that made the same sound as the boomba, I would've gotten that one.
Even so, I'm still happy with the products, even if my craftmanship of cutting to size was VERY janky. It has since been cleaned up and the boost controller mounted to a fixed location.

How did you secure the boost controller? does it just dangle by the hoses?

It was just dangling, but it’s since been secured.

Man there is NOTHING more annoying than when you go to get started, you gotta get RIGHT back up again to go grab something you forgot. (I'm Lazy)
Was this a dirty MAF or a MAP sensor? I'm about to go have my stuff walnut blasted in the next few months. If you have that done maybe it's a good idea to replace the MAP sensor too just so all of it's clean?

Nope! I actually forgot I had done that as a “diagnostic” before I arrived at the parts for this video. You can use maf cleaner for that. Also, side note, don’t spray that stuff in your bath tub/sink. It’ll eat away the porcelain finish, ask me how I know…

    What was the problem?

I was trying to fix the idle drop I talked about at the beginning of the video. I probably should have referenced it more throughout the video. Or at least In the outro
