- Where have I been since my Subaru blew up? What have I been doing? Why don't I upload consistently? What problems have I had with my WRX?
If you have had any of these questions, this is the video that answers them all.
It has been an entire year and a half since my WRX spun a bearing doing donuts in the snow. Ever since I got the IAG block installed, it hasn't run quite right. It's still not running at, what I consider to be, 100%. (scary noises that I've never heard before)
However, there are no signs of anything abnormal, so I'm gonna send it.
In this video I explain the nightmare that I've gone through over the last year and a half, and how that directly relates to my upload "schedule".
Also I talk a little bit about future plans and how I can create more revenue from things related to my car and channel to build this into something successful.
And the main ingredient is you, the viewers.

Thank you for talking about your experience. I spun a bearing on my wrx too about a week ago and I’m in the process of getting a stage 2 iag short block put in it too. It’s scary and is definitely hurting my wallet but eh can’t blame anybody nor the car. I beat the hell out my car for 30k miles on fbo e60.
I’m in Houston and sadly it doesn’t seem like my car will be ready for subie fest in time.

Just now watching this video and reading this, but man same here sadly. I too am in Houston, and my motor kicked the bucket when our temps hit 109f recently. Where are you getting the work done locally?
@@Donlosmedia the temps here recently definitely played a role in that. Next summer I’ll be looking at getting a oil cooler.
I went with The Shop Houston. I tried going to Kozmic but they couldn’t schedule me in till November which was way too long

My car is in the shop right now, getting the iag stage 2 block installed. After watching this, I pray to God everything works out fine.

Respect the hustle. Don’t feel bad. I have an engine at the machine shop for the past 3 years. “Covid” made me wait 9 months on Manley Rods and Pistons, then Another 8 on cams. Machine shop got backed up due to supplier issues. From broken machinery to other builds on parts. Hell, the car got done at the body shop before I got the motor back.
Jesus man! That’s a totally different type of nightmare. Makes you almost not want to get the car back and move on to something else, I would imagine.

Bro, you don't need to apologize. Just make videos when you want to. Adding Patreon to your tool box is smart. I was going to ask you... now that you have it stabilized, is an IAG engine any better or faster than stock? BTW, you have a learned a ton in the past 2 years. Also, REALLY the best aspect of this channel is your dry and self-effacing humor. Hang in there. Just do your thing and enjoy the ride. I always enjoy the content. Thanks man. I really appreciate that. IAG blocks are not inherently faster, but yes, the connecting rods are thicker and the pistons are forged so they can handle more abuse and heat. So they can handle more power from add ons.

My honest advice, move to the VB. No one wants to watch any VA content as that has been done to the moon and back. We are in the next gen of the WRX and people are more interested in that. I being a VB owner. Just look at the growth of VB youtubers like heavymetalwrx, Joey montalto, the AFD team, Kevin Vo etc, you would be at least getting free parts from companies and probably getting sponsors. Best of luck bro from one Subi owner in the DFW to another
I definitely agree that people are not watching VA content anymore. But that’s just the way things go. Everytime a new car comes out, people eat up that content, cause they want to learn about it. I still owe on the car, so there’s no getting rid of it anytime soon
