well there was the What-If Machine episodes where each of Phillips family members (his brother, his dad, and last his mom) ends up frozen instead of him, but those got scrapped cause of THE BRAINS!
That would make a great fanfic AU idea tho

I think they could use these unused concepts for an actual episode of Futurama. Perhaps the Planet Express crew end up in an altertate universe where they meet their alternate counterparts who are based on the rejected concepts. For example, Amy was originally intended to be a butch, tough, tomboyish mechanic.
Man that's an awesome idea!! It could be like the times we've seen the modern Simpsons meet their old Tracey Ulman designs
This and Red Dwarf are my favourite Science Fiction comedies.
The Biographic Projector honestly sounds way cooler than the Probulator, but then we wouldn't get those scenes from that later episode.

Weird how characters with purple as their main colorscheme end up being called Purple in some way, like Leela sounds Like Lila which is Purple in Hungarian, same with the mother of one of the spooky kids in the Spooky month videos made by Sr Pelo she is just straight up called Lila
Lila is also purple in spanish

Wasnt Leela named after the 4th Doctor companion of the same name from Doctor Who? Also, the 4th Doctor Who made cameo appearances in Futurama.
For those wanting to say, "Well, actually, the Doctor goes by the Doctor and not Doctor Who," I am aware of that. However, in officiap material forclassic Who (the credits) and newspaper/magazine about the show referenced the Doctor as "Doctor Who." Therefore, dont @ me about it in telling to "correct" me.

I liked the idea of an older middle-aged Fry and never knew about the careers officer that was meant to be in Futurama that was neat.

Latest season in Hulu needs to do way better to live to the og series . Which was all top tier while the new season is mid to bad
The simulation episode was really good tho.
Maybe I'm biased, tho. I love simulation theory, and I like how the show went out of its way to explain the core concepts of it.
It did have an emotional core to it. It's a message of existential nihilism, and how you give meaning to yourself
