I started walking to the end of my street after losing weight at Eat Like A Bear. A year later and 90 pounds down, I now walk an hour each morning. I just returned from a dream trip to Greece. It was all hills and steps. I was able to walk up the Acropolis. I climbed the steps of the first Olympic Stadium. I hiked 6 miles on the island of Amorgos. I walked for 4 hours around Mykonos Town. I did not realize I was so strong until I was challenged with this trip of a lifetime. ELAB made all the difference. ❤🐻

I just bought a rebounder and started jumping a few minutes several times a day. We don't have sidewalks here so if I want to walk I have to drive to a park and there are way to many mosquitoes here in the summer so I finally got a rebounder 😊.

Hey there! Nann here. Not feeling so very awesome, but claiming that I am. And trying to remember my victories and how strong I am. When I started Eat like a Bear, I couldn’t even walk around the block and I lost 115 pounds with basically no exercise except chasing my grandson around. I’ve been struggling with a regain and maintenance. I have a totally 100% sedentary job driving and I’m lucky to get 400 steps in a day. That’s not a joke. But I really want to nail down my WHY and re-focus on my health. Thanks for keeping us motivated and inspired Amanda! I seem to have lost my mojo.

Whatever is going on in your life, please get back to basics. If you branched out to try to add some variety to your diet, you must re-evaluate what you are eating and get back to what worked for you to lose the first 115 lbs. Don't beat yourself up. Regroup and you can do this, thewildflowersinn!!!

Dr. Walter Kempner focused on a a highly restrictive diet in the 1940's to help high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and morbid obesity. With long term patients, he found that moderate aerobic activity, mainly walking the trails around the Duke campus, relieved boredom with the diet and depression. I walk everyday at least an hour, inside or out, and find I am better able to navigate my problems. Health author Paul Bragg once said, "a five mile walk every day can solve a lot of problems." Give yourself the gift of getting up early, getting out and moving to the limit of your comfort zone. This practice is very pwerful!

I’ve just started using a vibration plate to get myself back into some exercise from being a couch potato for too long.

Well, we started the Eat Like a Bear again on June 30th. So we have made it 17 days this time and feeling great. I use the Weighted Hula Hoop for exercise. At first I was able to get up to the 30 minutes. Then had a health scare due to an allergic reaction to some medication and am now only doing 15 minutes a day. I do rest a day when I feel tired. I am happy to report that I have been able to remove 1 block from my Weighted Hula Hoop. WooHoo. I have just over 200lbs to lose, so I know it will be a process and journey. Looking forward to the day I can do a 7 mile hike. I miss hiking to lakes to go fishing.
