Back in the day when we used to use checks regularly, a neighbor in my apartment complex stole a whole box of checks and proceeded to use them. She bought bought a weight loss program to get ready for her wedding and spent several hundreds of dollars in Rite Aid (which is a pharmacy/ convenience store like Walgreens or CVS). They wrote her Driver's License number on my checks which means that she showed them HER ID with HER name (not mine)!!! The State's witness didn't show up to court and she got off with no consequences.
