- Join me as I pitch gameplay mechanics for a new #SpiderMan game! In my opinion, the perfect Spider-Man game would lean into a branched narrative with heavy customization. A game built on letting you become YOUR interpretation of the character would be fun--complete with choices and consequences that alter your relationships and rivalries.

I actually had an idea like this for a Batman game a while ago, like a fusion of the arkham and telltail games where based on your choices you could get the “vigilante” ending, “hero” ending or “superhero” ending
You're choices could effect other characters storylines like for example one choice could lead to Miles getting bit by a spider becoming the second Spiderman but another choice could lead to Gwen getting bit by a spider becoming Ghost Spider.
Exactly! It would be super fun to have player choices drive the continuity.

Been thinking about this for awhile myself! The Peter sections could be a lot like Person 5. Persona 5 alternates between mundane/everyday activities like school, chores, relationships, etc, and extreme heroics. The catch being, every day only has so much time, so you have to continuously choose between multiple different responsibilities daily. You might get to hang out with a friend in need one day, but in doing so, you neglect your relationship with someone else whilst also losing and entire day of progress in taking down a villain, which could be detrimental. This type of gameplay would immerse you in Peter's life as you attempt to balance all the responsibilities of both Peter and Spider-Man. Blending this with open world segments and incorporating a nemesis styled system that intertwines how you treat villains in combat with how you treat them in the story and you would have one hell of a game.
Something like Detroit become human but obviously more interactive gameplay would be dope. Love this idea bro

This seems like a really great idea in theory but in execution I think this might net out similar to Gotham Knights in that all versions deviate slightly but will need to end up the same at the end regardless of which character you choose. Which if you think about it is necessary to have any sequels so players are all on the same page for the next game

My dream superhero game would be a Daredevil game based on this idea. Matt can either fully embrace the Daredevil mantle or he can be more focused on his lawyer activities. You have to manage whether you want to be with Claire Elektra or Karen and depending on if you pick Karen or Elektra they could die. I’d pick Claire personally because she’s amazing in the Daredevil show. You’d also have to manage your friendship with Foggy and juggle stopping crimes with being there for him. You could build out your office and choose whether you want to go with a more armoured suit that slows your speed or a more lightweight suit that makes you are more likely to be stabbed. Including the Punisher and Elektra in the game could also allow you to go down a darker path killing criminals which can make your loved ones safe but at the cost of some of your relationships. I love Daredevil and I think a choice based stylised gritty game could work really well with him.
Lol your idea about investing Wayne money gave me a sorta Sim:City idea where investing in Wayne Tech raises your chance of beating more difficult villains, but lowers your sleep, investing in Arkham could reduce crime rates, Investing in Ace Chemicals could lower Bruce's Reputation, stopping too many crimes as Batman without investing in prisons could lower his Reputation, and stuff like that.
I have an idea, A Responsibly System like the Honor System from The Red Dead Games. The Responsibly system will have worse consequences in the story or Choices in the story to determine the story. Also you maybe could Beat up Flash Thompson and You would lose Responsibility because your not being responsible with Peter’s Power and players can use it for self gain and maybe because the popular kid or Be More Powerful then Flash. You can either leave The Schools Homecoming Party with Your Love Interest but you have to fight a villain. Just an idea :)

Awesome ideas and video man! I had the idea for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 to have a Web of Shadows/Infamous style choice system since we were getting the Symbiote, sadly it didn't happen but I have hope that we will get a great Spidey game with a choice system like you described one day! Actually that’s what I was thinking about and I want but it can work so perfectly and it can work because take for example the Witcher 3 wild hunt and it’s DLC with different endings and different choices and that game has so much elements more than spider man so in a spider man it can work so well

Absolutely. Like I said in the video, it would be super ambitious, but to be fair we have seen games like Batman Telltale, Mass Effect, and Detroit Become Human that follow a similar gameplay loop.
That would be so amazing for Batman or Spider-Man also what's your pitch for a superman game? Do you think WB games Montreal's second game is superman or a new Batman game? I'm so sick of waiting!
I hope they are making a Superman game, but I think Batman is more likely for WB Montreal.

This idea is very interesting but I want to move away from Batman and Spiderman so they could give us more characters like flash , green lantern , green arrow , aquaman , daredevil, hulk , Thor , punisher and a damn SUPERMAN GAME !!

I personally Don’t like the idea of an origin game we all know the story but it wouldn’t be that bad. Just keep Miles morales, spiderverse, and legacy characters out of it. No more white spider give Peter is classic red and blue with little black spider. Make MJ a supermodel instead of a reporter. Make Peter a freelancer at the bugle and shit like that. Be more faithful to the comics this time have just one spider man and not two make Eddie Brock venom ya know shit like that

I think with AI it would be easier to do because you wouldn’t need a voice actor to voice every line and it could also be able to put less of a burden on developers making it easier to make

If there’s one thing fans want it’s less of Peter Parker and more of Spider-Man, this idea sounds more like a Telltale type of game rather a triple A game
