I'd say the neighborhood was safe the first couple weeks. Just like Herschel's farm was safe the first couple months. Then when the cities fell, the dead started to move out Towards the countryside. This neighborhood was helplessly overrun in matter of days.
I would be interested in a video showing the suspected path Sophia took after leaving the creek she was left in by Rick and showing where she went when she got lost and a timeline of what she did or what was evidence for where her whereabouts were right up until she got bit and where that could’ve been, if we ever saw the Walker that did it, also where she might’ve turned and how she ended up close enough to Hershel’s farm in less than 2 days for Otis to find her and put her in the barn. I’d like to know when she was bit to know how close the group could’ve been to saving her.
It seems that, judging by the fact that a lot of bins are placed on the side of the road, still full, the neighborhood might have fallen extremely early into the apocalypse, possibly days. It would be plausible that the person living in the house might have been one of the only survivors of this area. They might even have survived up until a couple of days before Shane and Andrea stumbled upon it, judging by the state of the bodies in the house, wich are not decomposed at all.
This one is kinda odd because of the set up. The place looked like it was up and abandoned in the night with the only significant damage focused on one place. It felt like maybe the people fled in an attempt to find a safe place because of the fear of the dead, but doesn't really explain the strewn about cars. The house Shane and Andrea explored matches the survivalist theory that maybe one guy stayed behind out of paranoid ideas about the military and would try his best to turn his home into a makeshift killing floor for the roamers that passed into the neighborhood. But judging from the fire damage he may have been forced out of his home because of the attracted walkers and had to figure out an escape
Ya his zombies legitimately creeped me out like when Morgan's wife is at the door kind of looking in the peep hole and turning the handle . That's scary shit.
It was a downward spiral after Frank Darabont was fired. Season 1 and first part of Season 2 were the best episodes of TWD. Same as Seasons 1-3 of FTWD with Erickson as showrunner.
I’m guessing the estate stayed alive for a few weeks, until a horde came and the neighborhood had a last stand to the walkers, like how Alexandria was overrun in the first few episodes of season 6.
Bruh I can’t believe you had to repost this video. I have a theory how the neighborhood went down the neighbors were trying to figure out what was going on and wanted to see how can they survive.
It's crazy that I haven't found this series earlier as environmental storytelling was always something that I absolutely loved just seeing the places and what likely happened there is so interesting. Love this.
My theory is the community were waiting for the military to show up and recue them, opting to maintain a low profile by not building defensive walls/barricades around their homes/community for fear of attracting more of the dead. Since they likely only had to deal with the odd straggler and infected resident from time to time it probably seemed like the best plan at the time. Though as time went on more dead would show up, possible resulting people being killed or people just fleeing the community in feeling it was no longer safe. Either way they likely didn't have the manpower or had too many dead roaming around to fortify the community now, so they kept to a low profile until they inevitable got overrun possible one house at a time. I wouldn't think burning corpses in your garage, would be an effective deposal method or safe with the possibility of a fire breaking out, toxic fumes filling the house and possibly setting off smoke detectors. I think the survivor/survivors defended their home from one horde, but the noise attracted another horde. So they waited until nightfall to drag the corpses outside to burn, hence the two piles unfortunately the street was probably still thick with the dead and in the ensuing chaos a fire broke out with the survivor/survivors possible escape back through the house.
It would've been fun if that survivor had been revealed to be the governor but alas. Also, I think that the reason they referenced Wiltshire twice in the show is because in the first plotline, no one in the group died and maybe they wanted to honor Paula's death in the comics so they decided to create the Shiltwire plotline which lead to Tyreese's death. Also, different showrunners decided they wanted to redo it in their own way. Just a thought. Not my strongest but matter of perspective 🤷
Donna was the lady who died in the comics. Wife of Allen and mother of Ben and Billy who all don’t exist in the show. God the comics are so much better than the show.
Ngl the governor being the survivor wouldve been nice since he was supposed to be the one who killed the elderly building that were in season 1 but that was cut.
I love these unexplained stories. Ive never even thought about it that deeply. Great video. I kinda agree with your theory but I reckon the died somewhere in the house. I think the horde made its way in and he ran upstairs just like when Alexandria gets taken by the horde. Then he unalived himself upstairs.
I always took it as this. This dude was smarter then the rest of his neighbors. He was armed cause some of those body’s have bullet holes in the heads.doesn’t have to be a special forces operator to do what he did use a choke point let them body’s create an other sort of wall. The fire could go either way he set it to burn the body’s even after the head shot rotten body’s create disease fire bringing in more of the dead. This never worked for me you would have to be pretty stupid to start a fire in your home even if the streets are full and you can’t get out.we know this person was pretty clever with dry walling doors and halls . So I’m thinking the garage was the One way left in and for some reason the door couldn’t get down in time maybe he opened it to put that body in the mattress outside they start flooding in he shoot’s dropping a bunch of them easy to defend a doorway with a rifle or even a pistol assuming he had ammo it is America so good chance we love are guns here. He started the fire cause he was overrun. Falls back into the house fire is the distraction. He kicks the wall they follow him through he moves the barricades out the front door again armed I assume probably getting away. how long he lasted outside his home who knows? That’s how I read it again who would start a fire in there home that you have went out of your way to block off like a fortress.moving everything you need into what I assume is the kitchen area seems to be what he did block that all off and make that a command area makes sense foods there table to work whatever. Then your like yeah I’m going to burn Corpses in the next room. No that was out of desperation last resort.
I could count one hand the amount of time Shane spent not in the home bases, same with the governor, same with Negan. Makes you think about the bad guys of the walking dead, they’re complacent, they only really think about the food in their bellies and the control they have over people. Like people say Shane was already in season 5 but he wasn’t, he literally was all bark and no bite. Like no matter what Rick lead the group, he was there for almost every supply run and was there to fight back on walkers. The reason Rick is the leader is because he does the hard things not because he makes the hardest decisions for the group, he’s there every battle, every rescue, every supply run. He doesn’t even kick people out from the door he rides them out and talks to them and gives them chances and might leave them. I mean look at the tyresse fight, every other leader would have beaten tyresse because their ego was damaged and they wanted to show who’s in charge, but Rick did it because 1. A little crazy but 2. That just hurt his face not because he was trying to prove he was stronger.
No matter how the show turns out in the end, Greg Nicotero and his crew did a beyond amazing job with the effects. Also, whoever did the sets killed it. Absolutely amazing visuals all around the entire show.
I was wondering why you had to re-upload this video but this was a good theory! I definitely didn’t pay attention in detail with this episode but now I will. Loving the videos, keep up the great work and thanks for your time with these explanations!👍
Another possibility is that the walkers inside were piled up by Morgan. He had by that point started "clearing" and seeing the garage burnt may have been his inspiration. This house may have been the first place he tried to hole up after leaving the house he and Dwayne stayed in. He may have left because of the lack of resources and abundance of walkers in the neighbourhood
I don't exactly know the layout, but if I had to guess either someone was bitten and put in the garage when they started getting sick, maybe there was some disagreement about how things should be handled and someone decided to act for them, burning everyone in the garage. Some trying to escape through the garage door but the flames and smoke being too much, leading someone to make their way through the hole they broke in the door (if the hole leads out of the garage). Alternatively, it could have been neighbor disagreements like asking for sugar gone wrong, mishandling the dead both new and old, a new group coming in the clean out these people still living in houses then leaving, the bloody door could have been from someone much later on trying to get by after being hurt, the hole also could have been people trying to escape the fire, tons of different possibilities. I think ultimately the neighborhood went to shit so the neighbors tried to figure it out and some chose to take matters into their own hands by burning anyone that didn't agree or they thought might be infected. Most people are stupid so I don't think a small neighborhood would have wanted to test the idea of walker blood camo. I don't think the body piles were walkers, or at least they weren't burned in the same place they died, tons of walkers "survived" being burned or melted, plus the walkers would have been wondering inside the garage trying to break down the door to get whoever lit the fire. but that's just a theory, A WALKING DEAD THEOOOORRRYYYY
Just wanna say, you've done the impossible. I never liked the walking dead. Loved the comics, but the show was wayyyy too "TV" for my tastes. Maybe there were two survivors. The bodies were piled for future use before retreating to the smaller room. Once inside, one Survivor died and was pulled through the hole in the wall then taken to the garage and cremated. The final person allowed the Flames to get out of control hoping to distract the dead while escaping out the garage door.
i theorize the pickup truck behind shane and andrea may have had something to do with it, maybe the driver swerved to avoid someone that had turned/ someone running across the road thinking there wouldnt obviously be much traffic, a kid or something for example, then ofc they would not realise you turn no matter what and depending on if they were turned prior or not the second person would get bit and so on, and if it was a walker maybe they already turned their family inside their home, and the house that had people burned on the mattress were probably kept in there sick from a bite and whoever was left to survive in the house burned them after they turned/ were put down or were too sick to move and the person who survived lit the garage a blaze to try and keep the walker hordes now trying to siege the home at bay but the fact that the walkers in the house didnt seemed to have been lit on fire probably just means the people laying on the mattress were left there burned by the last survivor/s as they didnt have time to bury them after dying from the walker siege
Ok so, you have survivors in their house on Wiltshire estate. 2 at least die in the explored house. By then its understood that bites and deaths not related to head trauma will result in walkers. A third occupant of the house has two dead bodies or two infected peoples on their hands and knows what is going to happen. They take the bodies to garage and burn them. They cant do it outside because of the growing number of walkers. In an effort to let out the smoke and heat, the survivor opens the garage door. The sound of the door attracts a small group of walkers who invade the house. The survivor blockades and funnels the walkers into a kill zone and takes them out. They pile the bodies up then wall off that part of the house. However the garage door was left open leading to more walkers getting in. Or at least 1. That walker busts through the wall and infects the survivor. The walker and now turned survivor just meander the house until they are drawn outside. They go through the hole in the wall, leaving blood trails behind and just join up with the areas other walkers. Thats my guess if you were to follow the outline of the video. But to be honest i don't see the whole proper survivor angle suggested here. I think it's entirely possible it was a couple just defending their house. Without the outline of the video my interpretation goes as follows: In that house there was two people. They bordered up the house as the number of walkers in the neighbourhood increased. However walkers still got in. Particularly from the side of the house with garage access. This led to blockades and killzones, hence the pile of bodies. In an effort to remove themselves from that area of the house they walled off that part. But walkers got through. And at least bit the female occupant. The other occupant was able to get the walkers out but their companion was bitten and slowly succumbing to the wildfire virus. The healthy occupant realised what was happening and moved the infected one to the garage and tried to burn them to spare them turning whilst also trying to self immolate. Although they were successful in burning themselves and their companion, the house didn't catch. Maybe the garage door was busted already and thats how the walkers got in. Or maybe before the healthy occupant lit themselves up they opened it to try and invite and burn as many walkers as possible. Either could be possible.
The Wiltshire Estates is in the The Walking Dead Comics, Rick and company go there to try and make the Estates as their new home but things get bad later. But nice video.

I always wonder why/how farm's become so infested/over run think about it most farmers have gun's/other weapons most gas stations are full of fuel due to farming equipment stuff to grow plants is everywhere same with building supplies there might no be a lot of medical supplies but there are a lot of places that sell alcohol and weed and let's not forget farm's are in the middle of nowhere it would take a few hours to get to town to get to a "city" it would be 3-8 hours and that's with driving

i theorize the pickup truck behind shane and andrea may have had something to do with it, maybe the driver swerved to avoid someone that had turned/ someone running across the road thinking there wouldnt obviously be much traffic, a kid or something for example, then ofc they would not realise you turn no matter what and depending on if they were turned prior or not the second person would get bit and so on, and if it was a walker maybe they already turned their family inside their home, and the house that had people burned on the mattress were probably kept in there sick from a bite and whoever was left to survive in the house burned them after they turned/ were put down or were too sick to move and the person who survived lit the garage a blaze to try and keep the walker hordes now trying to siege the home at bay but the fact that the walkers in the house didnt seemed to have been lit on fire probably just means the people laying on the mattress were left there burned by the last survivor/s as they didnt have time to bury them after dying from the walker siege
Without the outline of the video my interpretation goes as follows:
In that house there was two people.
The Wiltshire Estates is in the The Walking Dead Comics,
Rick and company go there to try and make the Estates as their new home but things get bad later.
But nice video.
Oh hell ya!!! Ive been waiting on this one.
Actually if the still had power and an automatic garage door, you could lure walkers into the garage and close them in with the door remote
So you want to know something funny me and my brother are a while back we tried to watch The walking Dead but we ended up rage quitting in the end we got to season 3 before finally rage quitting not because the show was bad but because of the stupid decisions the characters made like going after the little girl and constantly putting themself in danger when it could have been avoided but yeah that's just me venting
Please do the environment from season 11 i think 🤔 when maggie and negan and daryl went in the underground train station and daryl and dog went of on they own
Tomorrows upload!
@@Swell-Films NO WAYY!! CANT WAIT
It's possible the owner of the House was former military or National Guard
I always wonder why/how farm's become so infested/over run think about it most farmers have gun's/other weapons most gas stations are full of fuel due to farming equipment stuff to grow plants is everywhere same with building supplies there might no be a lot of medical supplies but there are a lot of places that sell alcohol and weed and let's not forget farm's are in the middle of nowhere it would take a few hours to get to town to get to a "city" it would be 3-8 hours and that's with driving
Subscribed watching your vids is almost pushing an AMC + account sub lol
Haha thanks mate!
Can you do a environmental story telling on the comic version of Wilshire estate
because of the burnt bodies?
Funny enough it was the body with the liar sign in the beginning.
@@Swell-Films well it was headless but also fake so that is stupid and you used it in other videos too
Do you think you can do a backstory on the commonwealth mayor? We never actually got her backstory in the show
Have you done a video on Noah's attacked neighbourhood? I just watched the episode and it looks like the wolves attacked it.
Did anyone else think maybe it was walkers who broke through the wall, not a survivor?
Hey what's the background music you use for your videos?
I use quite a few tracks in my videos from the RUclips audio library.
This video uses,
Frightmare - Jimena Contreras
Caverns - density and time
Allègro - Emmit Fenn.
But I usually cut up and blend the tracks so you would have to play around with some of them.
@@Swell-Films Thank you good sir
I know it’s not really relevant because the series is based in America, but as a englishman the pronunciation of wiltshire is jarring af
As an American, the Englishman's pronunciation of aluminum is jarring af. :)
The governor raided it
Can you do one about noahs home ik that we know it was the wolfs but like how noah brother got in that room and just the holes in the fence and maybe what caused them
Bruhhh and I only finished up writing my big theory comment on the originally posted video… 😭
I knoooowwww it’s actually devastating. Good ol youtube
What was the theory ?
Reupload?
I thought it was just the new development that went in a few years ago? though I have been known to miss signs like the name of the school or the carneval
These videos are like meth, I can never get enough. Keep it up!!!!!
You might wanna get help for that
is this a repost?
They age restricted it
morgan? reminds me of clear.
All do enter. Dead not.
Why didn't they try to at least create strongpoints to cover the whole area?
Repost?
RUclips bs again.
Unfortunately so.
@@Swell-Films they're good about being asshats, love the channel btw.
Damn RUclips seems to hate the Walking Dead a Small Bit☹
Usually they’re pretty good but not today I guess lol
@@Swell-Films Shit just does happen i guees
@10:48 I'd be interested in hearing the "thousand theories"! I don't understand why folks exaggerate when they can't back it up. And don't use, "it's a figure of speech" excuse. You said it, make a video with "1,000 theories" based on this scene!
You're really weird
Love u swell!
I started watching twd when ir was in S2 and remember they were still at the road with all the cars waiting for Sophia to return
I remember being so curious as to how come it became abandoned and why did the people leave everything, how there were crashed cars in the middle and people dead (the last 2 probably just placed there for pacing not to tell a story)
I’ve actually always planned to make a video on the car graveyard. Knowing darabont there is definitely a story behind it
