@@VehicleVirals i’m actually happy he did cause that shows me you actually did the giveaway so kudos to you brother.
I just want my n54 to make hellcats mad chris..... its damn near a daily driver and im looking to put 19t on it.... unless u have any better ideas??👀
17t or 19t ftw 😈
This is why I love the YouTubbers. They do crazy shit to their engines so we don't have to. I own a BMW M car and no way will I do tunes or add bolt-ons. That just hurts the future value of these special models and you protect your wallet along the way. I understand the dynamics of YouTubbing, having to generate content and lining up sponsorship deals and such. You guys work hard but at the end of the day, it's strictly entertainment.
Great, video man! Love your channel.
I find it funny how we run the same size turbo but you run it on a n54 where I run it on a 2.0 4 banger. I’m not sure what power you’re making or boost you’re running but I’m making 500 wheel at 30psi.
No dynamic autowerks love I see.
I love my 17ts, been about a year on em and no problems fbo pi full e85 20psi
I would love to do this to my 335i, but being realistic the labour is like 3 grand just to drop the motor and take everything off the engine before touching the turbo's haha....man can wish
Diy is the only answer to these cars. Poor man can’t afford labor rich man buys an m3+
No reason for this to be 3k. It’s not that difficult. Doing my wife’s in my shop along with all new hoses, ps system, ac system, gaskets and it’s close to 3k then labor wise if I factored it all plus washing the bay and deep cleaning it. If it were just down to the turbo business, 1.5ish. That’s 15 hours of labor. Plus it’ll be on carfax. Shops aren’t fare, charging full for stuff already coming out
finally sth worth to watch today. i am looking for a bmw 525i e39 but they are quite impossible to find int he spec i want
Will an auto transmission handle a single turbo set up? Also do you have to upgrade the drive shaft?
Seen plenty of single turbo N54s. I didn't upgrade my driveshaft when I owned my E93. It was fine. All depends on the condition, and that pretty much applies to anything.
I would say twin for low end and single for top end
“Essentially making it more expensive than if you had gone for the hybrid”
Toyota Prius guys be like: write that down, write it down
So to summarize this video, I should find away to twin turbo Swap my 2001 Volvo S60 2.4T, possibly with the twins from the VED5 (D5244T11) or twin charge it…
Twin charge it
Thanks for the video Cristian
Can you send links to the 17ts your buddy used cause they are so many on eBay. I don't know which ones to go for
He links them on his video
@@VehicleVirals Thank you again love the channel bro
I’m runnin pure 600s making 470HP and 550TQ on lowish boost 20psi I think I could get more out of them with port injection
Opinion on Frankenturbos 🤔
Any updates on the F10 M5? Glad to see another video!
Update video coming soon
Awesome video. Thanks so much
Can the steptronic auto (2009) hold up to the turbo upgrades?
Nice vid, I still think I'm gonna go for upgraded twin's, just not sure which ones yet. 👍🏽
Did you pick out the twins yet?
What did u use?
nice vid bro
Awesome video great information I use in school
I got the N55 2011 Le Mans Blue Coupe with a Varga level 2 big single turbo, I make 400whp and 400wtq and not gonna lie dont feel like I need much more.
Support the RPM act
To this day I need to know that style 67 fitment what size tire and spacer have same wheels want to rock until I get new wheels
On a e93 would u rather go single or twin upgrade ?
Yes another video 😎🤟🏼
Need a new motor 2010 335i x-drive can recommend new motor. Should I get single twin motor ?
Which N54 do you recommend getting from a 07-10 ? Which one is the sweet spot like did the 2009-2010 fix issues the older models had ?
i had a 2010 with paddle shifter i loved it
Great meat video Vehicle Virals
Here are the rules to keep your cheap ass china turbos running longer from a 19T owner.
Rule #1 📍 After you get your custom tune and use MHD NEVER press the burble tune option
Rule #2📍change your oil more often bad oil will fuck your turbo
Rule #3 📍clean or change your intakes
Rule #4 📍 change your spark plugs when you get new turbos
Rule #5 📍 always get a bigger intercooler rated for more than your power goals for increased cooling.
Rule #6 📍eventually get the upgraded intake manifold for better airflow
Rule #7 📍Throttle body spaces are worth it
Great video.. just started tuning mine.. but shoup is hard to get a hold of 😔
Great video, but I'm sure for many it will come down to cost unfortunately. After maintenance even Chinese turbos don't seem cheap anymore 🤣
Maintenance is the hurdle most people are not willing to touch 😆
Great talk thanks!
Can I upgrade my twin turbos with out tuning it, I’m not really looking to increase any power just need to replace my turbo.
Now that you have experienced both, which do you prefer? Big twins or big single?
What's the price difference? The whole kit
Nice video, what about tune with the hybrids. Do i need a custom tune?
You don't but I recommend a custom tune.
Single with no cat....you're talking a spool time at 3.2k, I gotta 67mm and an thats when my boost hit, I can't imagine a 6266!
So you convinced me to get some ebay hybrids. But now should i get the 17t or 19t? 🤔
What about RB game finishers?
As I was watching the reliability section I noticed you mentioned maintenance and I saw there was some gaskets and injectors, I didn’t recognize the few other parts, so I was wondering what all would you recommend doing before doing either swap ?
Spark blush and coil packs, water pump, thermostat, fuel pump are the big ones on n54 also get a blow by tank
@@rxzesereniti9750 thank you my man
Iv been eyeing the pure600s for when my stock ones go only at 40k miles atm!
You will be waiting for a very long time because those things will keep spinning and pushing unless you go to 22 psi and race a lot. Other wise those things will keep going for another 50 k for sire
@@ALEX.THE.RUSSIAN ye wasnt in a big rush. Gonna do inlets soon tho so will probably run about 20lbs or so on a custom map.
Hey man, I am thinking of buying a 335i myself but I'm worried about traction, for example if you floor it from 30-40 miles per hour does it spin bad? Lsd would help I guess
@@mattrixx007 lsd would definitely help. And some decent tires. I have open diff and go on my profile how hard my car goes
Hello. Bro. I'm trying to contact you thru Facebook but cant reach you. I would like to order a N54 single turbo.can we inbox?
Ive had my17ts for over three years and still going gang bangers
how much does a shop usually charge for the single turbo set up install
4-5k what I got quoted
@@bryanawesome3351 damn that’s aids i just found a shop that’ll do it for 1.5
Hallo which turbos is tge best for twins,i have 17T on now but looking for 650hp ?
Does two turbos mean two down pipes?
im here with a 528i 😪 i just want a 335i
Do you just fit the turbos and away you go with 500/600bhp or are other modifications required to get the most out of them?
You can make that power with stock turbos. FBO and tune
Hey man I had a question Im in the process of getting all the parts for the F80 brakes conversion for my 335is, what did u end up doing with the ABS sensors? SLG said they just delete them but will my ABS still work?
Any suggestions or advise for my transmission?
I have 09 335xi with auto transmission.I’m on upgrading to pure stage 2 turbos but I read(and my mechanic agree) horror stories about the auto awd transmission…that cannot handle the torque..
So even if I am not launch break boosting am I going to have problem?is there any mod to prevent a trans-disaster??thank you very much!!
Following
Xhp stage 3 or Rod suptin custom transmission tune
has anyone ran the 17/19t turbos from norcal dynamics?
whats a reasonably safe daily psi for pure stage 2 highflows? too many ppl blow up going 25psi+
17
any idea for the 528i 3.0 N53 l6 engine
Learned a lot from this vid. Keep up the good work💪🏾
With single you only have to worry about one turbo breaking. I did go upgraded twins Vargas F-RB, I love em 850hp which is plenty. Got about 20k on em so far. Motiv tune, no nothing but the best. You should race the Jess dude!
what year is the car?
The owner of the winery where i work just got his plaid umm yeah upgrades seem pointless now🤣🍷
What about RB turbos?
question, i have a 2011 335i, n55 w/ auto 6, even thought it automatic, would a single be worth it or just stick with the twins?
I can never find any widespread info on the automatics.. I’m also curious to know what we can do to keep the 6at strong m
The 2011 335i has the N55 engine equipped which comes with one turbo, not two. You can upgrade the single turbo to one that can hold more power and you're auto trans should be fine.
@@VehicleVirals are you sure it’s single turbo? the engine cover still says twin power turbo
Absolutely certain. "Twin power turbo" is BMW's term for their twin scroll single turbo technology.
@@VehicleVirals ah ok, all this is new after coming from an 02 camry 🤣
RB Turbo makes the best twins for this platform and I don’t believe MMP is still in business.
why?
I wanna move to a 6466
Single turbos get rid of low end torque upgraded twins have the torque to spin tires at 60 mph
Just ask yourself, you want V8 feel like lets say m3? Go twins.
You like 2jz and mk4 supra? Ho single
