Jesse, I'm a 57 year old man still playing this game, and my favorite archetype are the Fabled. I built mine in the past around the battle fader/monarch style, almost all monsters and trying to swarm. I could use some help getting my Master Duel version to be just competitive if possible. I also tend to try and keep decks pure when possible, but get that I would likely have to change that with this.
Love fabled cards. Cool lore and art, i use them as a small engine in my ojama lock deck 😂

A modern take on a Masked Beast deck would be awesome!
The Nemleria cards actually help this deck. The continous spell searches 2 level 10 beasts.

This is a sick series
Personally I would love to see you make Modern Archfiends good. Not the chess guys but the ones from like Heiress, Cavalry, Commander, Emperor. Those guys. Unfortunately neither Berserk Archfiend nor the newly released Archfiend's Advent are in Master Duel but it would still be cool to see what you can do with them. On a different note, I think it would be interesting for you to tackle some of the worst archetypes such as Sphinx (thanks to exxod), goblin (thanks to scrounging goblin), malicevorous, super defense robo, umbral horror, guardian.
Archfiend/dark world. New dw support, unfortunately, power crept the archfiend half.
God, I dunno what they were cooking with the chess guys, but it was garbage.
@@FakeHeroFang they were certainly not winning any chess games, that's for sure. In terms of legacy support you (BIG) could make the white chess Archfiends since there are black and white pieces. But the chess cards as so lackluster that they would. Be tough to make good. Roar is still a solid trap, and terrorking and the 2000 lv 4 guy were used sporadically back in the day. But that's it.
Umbral horror has synergy with yubel as they have like 3 dark/fiends with 0/0 stats. They basically just end up as clunky pseudo-bricks that you can get to with normal yubel combos that give you access to a rank 4 pool using stuff like the sacred beast spell, dark beckoning beast, and grave squirmer's GY effect.
Combine that with the Seventh engine for both lore accurate reasons and for an easy 1 card number c104 (which itself card force out up to 3 disruptions going second if your Seventh spells resolve) and you've got a somewhat clunky, much weaker version of a meta deck that's the result of a villainous fusion dance.
This series is SO AWESOME! PLEASE do something with the super nerfed guard dragons! They’re the hardest of the world legacy decks to make relevant outside of the link monster in dragon link
This deck was cracked with playground rules. Opponent summons blue eyes, I summon androsphynx with no tribute

One of my favorite decks to play is Elemental Heroes, but im a sucker for nostalgia, so i end up playing pure elemental heroes like Jaiden from GX. it would be cool if you could turn that Meta. either way, keep up the amazing work!
i like this amount of energy jesse, energeric enough to make it fun but still not like Sam's level of over the top
"Dream Tower of Princess Nemleria" can help too. In fact, this might be worth running with Nemleria. (also, just watched the start, but nice from what I've seen)
It played very well, I like these older decks because they "allow the other to play" so to speak, they are more direct. I almost slept with the opponent doing 5 minute combos, it's really complicated how complicated this has become.
Also: I need help with the extra deck, I can't identify some cards (7) '-'

I Really love the series and not only is it really interesting but fun to watch :) - Maybe some day you can make a nice Barrel Dragon Deck since its my favourite monster and hasnt really gotten any support for years.
the lsit of cool cards to build around is endless, im a fan of barrel dragon too but at least the toon form got one
action last episode.
I tried this as well, the only way I could make it work was by putting them in my melffy deck as 1 of's. Moderate success

You can still run maxx c especially since you cant guarantee you open with morg. All you have to do is run card destruction to help unbrick your hand/ reduce the lack of synergy. There are a few other maxx c compensators you can run too.
I want this to get retrained both out of nostalgia and also cause... we reeeeally don't have many at alll... big beasty Beast decks. We have some but full behemoth decks with behemoth boss Beast monsters are rare. They're mostly just parts of other archetypes or standalone monsters

A cat of ill omen looping Daruma cannon is a pretty sick combo considering the deck being played

i would run the nembila engine to serch out the spiinx monsters alot faster.
Would love to see a Slifer deck! With Curious banned it's been a bit hard to figure out ways to consistently set up the god + the revival trap to mass draw into handtraps, but i believe you could cook something up that's interesting.

Lastly the one deck I have that's never been exactly good that I have Duel Terminal versions of is Steelswarms they have been sorry to say ass since day one and never had a good time to really shine. Please Jesse-sensei make them viable.
True. However, I did have fun with it at locals back in 2011 thanks to the usual "opponent doesn't know what your deck does"
They are way better then this deck at least. They got a board wipe and some cool removal guys. But they are so slow. Their link is crazy too

I would love to see you build Noble Knights. It's my all time favorite deck that I've been playing since it launched and I'd love to see how a pro player would go about playing and building it whilst keeping it true to itself.
5D's era Synchro Warriors like Junk Warrior, Road Warrior, and Turbo Warrior. And for a challenge, use only ONE Quickdraw Synchron.

Would it not have been a better idea to also play Traptrix alongside Cat of ill Omen as they would allow you to play traps from the hand, allowing you to activate Pyramid of Light from the hand? As long as you have one or both Sphinx in your hand, you can atleast get them on the field easier with searching for the trap card, maybe throw some Field Spell seach cards like Teraforming to thin the deck and get Necrovalley into hand easier. The deck seemed kinda slow without it, especially seeing how a search for your key trap card is locked behind the field spell.
It's not exactly an archetype, but one of my favorite old decks was the Goblin Attack Force type cards with Final Attack Orders and Skill Drain. It's slow, but it was fun to play.
It'd be cool if you could showcase the poker knight cards with Slifer. Or any other God card with their themed support and character too.

I remember when these cards came out when I was a kid. I thought they were so cool, I wanted so badly to make them work. Unfortunately more often then not the work you put into summoning them usually ends with a bottomless trap hole.
The structure decks that came out in 2005 updated them with the boss monster

Also I would really like to see a Karakuri deck list that's meta no monsters for cheating stuff out. Must be Karakuri main component. Kinda like how Swordsoul is the main component but tenyi is the added engine.

Not author, but melfy works ok.
The biggest criticism this English Version got is that it has too much to say in 89 minutes, while it did a fantastic job introducing Yugi and how the Duel Monsters came to be, it didn't necessarily explore Anubis' Backstory to keep the story engaging.
I understand they wanted to sell cards to promote this feature, but even as a fan of the series, there's little to be desired.
I dare you to make the flames of eternity structure that a metadata today in modern Yu-Gi-Oh with modern Yu-Gi-Oh rules and I also challenge you to also make Cyber jar meta

Would love to see you try to make counter fairies competitive. I always loved the theme of getting advantage through using counter traps but games are so fast now that they struggle to compete
It's still worth playing max c in my opinion because you can use it turn one or any turn before you activate morganite
