- 1-1b. Hamburger
2-potatoes, peeled and sliced in half
2-onions, peeled and sliced in half
Salt/Pepper
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Divide the hamburger into four patties. Place one patty on a sheet of foil, add a slice of potato and then the onion. Sprinkle it with salt and pepper and seal the foil. Repeat. Add all the pocket meals to a casserole dish. Bake for 1 hour.
Growing up we called this pocket meal, Hobo’s. Not sure how we got this name, but it was a quick and delicious meal. On occasion, I have added some sliced carrots. I hope you would consider making this meal for your family.
Blessings,
Terri
Definitely will try these Terry. Thanks
I love when you involved Harper, the dog and family ♥️ (that's why we cook)
We used to make these when I was a kid when we had a bonfire....just make them up and throw them in the hot coals....sometimes we fixed them on the outdoor grill. They were so yummy! 😋We added carrots to ours, but you could add cauliflower, broccoli, or other veggies too!
Nice
We love these!!!! My husband and I put everything but the kitchen sink in ours lol
We do these often!
I'll have to try it with the halved potato, we usually chunk our veggies and put the hamburger patty over the veggies so the juices run through as it cooks. We also like to add carrots and cabbage, the possibilities are endless and its a delicious frugal meal.
Could do without Harper and the dog in the background
