I have 15 and 16 clearance on my piston rings, is it too tight? Is it necessary to open them more? That's my question, thank you very much for your good videos.

Great video, but I have a question regarding ring placement. I'm using OE Ford Rings ( 6L3Z-6148-A). I can't tell which ring goes on top and which goes in the 2nd groove. There is a ring with green paint by the gap and the OD of the ring is dark/black in color. The other ring has yellow paint by the gap and the OD of the ring is a machined look to it. Both have a dimple/dot to indicate topside. Do you know if which ring I need to put in the top slot? Thanks and I enjoy watching your videos.

I have a question. I have dnj piston rings, the instructions state a 0.003-0.004 for every bore inch. My bore is 3.572 which is .010 to .014 ring gap. Should I go by this or go by your .018 and above ring gap?
Inam thinking about swapping out my 4.6 3v out for a 5.4 3v but am wondering if the 5.4 3v rods and pistons are the same hp and torque rating?
Any reason you went with king bearings on the rods and clevite on the mains?
The same King bearings for the rods were back ordered for 6 months and I didn't want to wait. The Clevite ones are really good too and are of the same tri metal blend as the King's. Thanks for watching!
I install the Pistons but the crankshaft isn't moving I tighten the bolts like you did and everything
Then something isn't machined enough. Take it apart and plastigauge for tolerances. Thanks for watching!
