@kevinmarquez19 yes but unless you have truley utilized their capabilities a zerg rush can trully make short work of them but the rush does have a weakness siege tanks in siege mode, reavers, and air units. you just have to be prepared for them (eyes open) however if they are utilizing the painful 4 or even 6 zerg rush strategy there is no way you can build a turret in time this is were people get really ticked off at. Its because the 4 and 6 zergling rush takes only 2 minutes to create Xd
@kevinmarquez19 the zerg are possibly the most annoying race in the entire game there main tactic is to grow quickly and rush there opponents to death or in some cases use other sort of crazy gorilla tactics (such as burrowed ambushes and flanks) but swarming is their main tactic and its helped by the fact that hatchery's can spawn three units at once while other races have to wait just for one unit to pop out zerglings are their most famous rushers since 2 can appear out of 1 egg

If he is using an early 4 or 6 zergling rush though there is barely anyway you can counter it except by possibly using your own mining units. but don't worry a sufficient force of siege mode siege tanks,fire-bats, reavers, or air units can decimate such rushes in seconds but some are even to powerful for that to work. (never let a zerg player build up too long)
