speaking of grade school and hacky sacks, my high school didn't really have cliques, except one. The asians who played hacky sack at lunch. It was a very specific and exclusive clique.
While it's a different company, I thought of "MatterHackySacks"
Should be here in a few days. That color looks like their matte, just with the metallic element. Bar none, the best filament I have used to date. In the past few months, I have gone through almost $500 worth of their filament (thank you to good clients) :)

For those wondering about a tablespoon of caffeine orally COULD be lethal for healthy people. Significantly less with people that may have cardiovascular problems, or certain other conditions that could be aggravated or triggered by the effects of caffeine.
(Stress on body, rapid heart rate, high blood pressure, hyperactivity.)
The LD50 is 300mg/kg.
Meaning someone who is 120lb (54ishkg) would need to take about a tablespoon and a half to have a roughly 50% chance of dying.

when will you do this again? you should make a random color one so the color is always changing every few mm so it's just cool.

If you do a green wildcard filament it would be fun to add some forest/tree smell to it, like pinetree, eucalyptus. My next idea would be a yellow with pineapple taste called ananaspool.
If only i had access to the ProtoPasta machines for a few days... 😜

I've scrolled down a ways but not found the answer. Why the caffine? Seriously. Does it do something for the plastic?
It does nothing as far as we can tell. I used to consume a lot of caffeine and it became a hallmark of the channel. :)
You should send some over to CNC kitchen. He could do his strength tests on it and see if it affects the PLA. Maybe by freak coincidence, you've stumbled on some kind of magic bullet for PLA.

How about..... Next Time..... PLA ... Skin tones....
Several mixes of skin tone pinks but mixed poorly so you get lighter pink patches and
darker pinks to slightly red in patches. Idead to print out body/facial features and no
two prints will ever be the same. Good idea or not?

ok man. I love your videos. that will never change. so please don't take this the wrong way but WTH man. I LOVE good blues so I was excited to go try some of this but then I saw the price.
at first I was like ok $29.99 a kilo a bit expensive but not too bad for something custom and then I realized its not $29.99 a kilo. its $60 a kilo. $29.99 for 500g. $30 for half a roll!!!
holy crap man why is the stuff so ungodly expensive? am I missing something? I balk at buying esuns pla pro at $25 a kilo (it prints so nice!)

huh the normal htpla v3 is $40 a kilo (still crazy expensive but a lot cheaper than $60 a kilo) but it looks like any of the non normal's (metallic whatever) get much more expensive very quickly.
wow. I have never priced or used proto pasta before (they seem to only do specialty filament) I guess I just did not realize how "expensive" filament could be. I can't think of many things I would want to print except very tiny things at that price point.

Ehhhh, I do like your videos but I don't understand the point of putting something like caffeine into extruded plastic... Even if for some fun "gimmick" it serves no point and at that rate you might as well just use some other powder if it's for color.
It was a total gimmick and was only used on the rolls I took home with me. NOT used in the production rolls they sell.
