I haven't attempted to do a carpeting plant yet as a carpet... although I do have some Monte Carlo planted in my tank, just to see if it will survive and grow! I was excited to have Star Grass grow as a great fast growing groundcover....for many months it look great and then ..no matter that I replanted cuttings all the time,it seems to have gotten thinner and less rambunctious. I think stem plants have short lifespans. For forever carpets people might go with plants that divide. Still,you can get a year or more out of stems as carpets and for months they peak. Just in the very long run..lol..

      @@BlakesAquatics Yes,I have had to comb that out at times to. For some reason I get the feeling that Staurogyne is worth a try also. One thing about carpets? When you have large aquariums they go a long way to satisfy the urge to see green--- without taking up the swimming space of the fish like Rainbows. Bosys get to be hefty fish,deep bodys..beautiful,but need room.

    I would like to ask if this plant is suitable for nano aquarium, with a base of 20x30cm and 20cm in height. I have a plan to rebulid my aquarium from a set consisting of one stone and a branch which does not fit in with its shape into my aquarium to two lower and better fitting branches (maybe placing that stone between the branches) and plant the branches with Anubias or Bucephalandra (depends on which is more durable against algae and also some illnesses and temperatures reaching 28-29 °C). But I seek for some plant to consume nutrients to prevent algae and I don´t know which one is the proper choice as I want to avoid chosing some plant which would need pulling it off the bottom and disrupt the bottom. Thanks for advice ;-)

Some still say that high temperatures are huge struggle for them like in this vid. ruclips.net/video/mwHA9r2MJg8/видео.html ... So I am a bit confused but still pearlweed looks for me very attractive as its huge bushy stature will be very pleasantly welcomed by my Neocaridina davidi shimps :-) I know these little "creatures" love to swin between some dense plants stuff :-)

      @Hrafn22 2 года назад

      @@BlakesAquatics Unfortunately the ambient temperatures are that high naturally from may till early september days from 25/26 to 29 °C. I tried to add some cold water when returning from work in the evening but that makes effect only for a few hours when the water temperatures rises again from 21/22 °C to 25/26 °C and next morning it is back at 27/28 °C. During 4 moths the days are hot as hell. After this period I have no need to heat the aquarium even during low temperatures during night as flat has got it´s heating and provides also heat for aquarium from september till march when temperatures are high enough. Right now 24 °C is in aquarium. :-)
