Lighter weight, better gearing, tire size, and fuel injected. My wife always smokes my ruckus with her 2024 and I got some upgrades on mine. Hers bone stock.
I like the red. That got to 30 pretty quick and 40. I bought my son a metropolitan it was a 05. He rode that thing everywhere around the college campus. Best 600 bucks I ever spent.
I was disappointed I missed most of the live show tonight. My wife and I had a picnic dinner out on the picnic table and I joined in briefly then at the end of your live chat we had company so I missed out on the last 10 minutes or so. Hopefully I'll be able to catch the next one. I thought it was an interesting show though. Till next time Scooter man is outa here. 👍
I never see anyone on youtube actually try to put a helmet in these bikes? They always say it can fit but never show trying. I guarantee these reviewers have a helmet a foot away while filming these videos.
Currently riding a 2024 Metropolitan that I use to basically commute around the city and honestly I wish I had one sooner. It has helped me learn my city better than a car for sure. Finding streets that connect to one another giving me a "whoa i didnt know i can get here by going here instead" has been eye opening. I just wish parking wasn't such a hassle. Other than that I love riding it. I use my metropolitan any chance I get. I just wish there were better accessories for the metropolitan to hold my phone or even a cup holder sometimes
I was wondering the same thing. If you register it and get a license plate, would that solve the problem because the cops could get vehicle information?
I was thinking this too. I have an Eahora Juliet (the original version). 1000W motor, 48V/60Amp Hr battery. It goes 30mph, and I typically charge it after about 26miles, but it will do about 50 on a charge before dying, and that's riding it mostly wide open. Thing costs $1400, doesn't take gas, and has no registration. Ebikes have kind of made the whole 30mph mopeds less relevant. In favor of this, however, are that it locks with the key fob, has real motorcycle tires and suspension, and has front and back turn signals -- very few ebikes have back turn indicators let alone front and back. Also, I think cars tend to see you as real traffic and not "a bike" on something like this. I know I've surprised drivers with my bike getting up to 30mph.
@@jmcminn1076 I think in most states a bike like this would not qualify as a bicycle because it is too powerful and fast. You would need a motorcycle license to be legal.
@@e.miller8943 in most states a nominal (not maximum) 750W ebike with “pedal assist” that does 28mph is perfectly legal class 3 e-bike with no license. The bike I describe above technically skirts that by being 1000W, having a throttle and going a couple mph too fast. But the odds of getting stopped on a Juliet are pretty low since it LOOKS like a bike can really can be pedaled like one. I’m not talking about a Sur Ron or Talaria here. And note, I’m not on team “just ride an ebike”. I DID get a motorcycle license and an electric scooter - but I got one that is a little more powerful than a 30mph moped class. I still think e-bikes really make the slower mopeds harder to justify in the US. (The ebike rules in Europe are much different so that’s a whole different story)
I tend to agree with you, but some people do like the "Vespa"-like asthetic. If you don't mind a carburated engine, you can get a Navi for less, or a Ruckus for a little more. If you are willing to work a manual transmission, the Grom isn't too much more than the Ruckus. I'm kind of looking at the ADV160, but that isn't really in the same price tier as this thing.
@@fwfefrtefdv4719 I am not sure the NMAX is still available in the US market. The Yamaha US webpage only lists the Zuma and XMAX for scooters. I for sure looked at the XMAX 300, but as a new rider coming from e-bikes, I kind of don’t want the 400 pound XMAX.

The Metros are geared taller.
The Ruckus is probably quicker at the start.

Definitely a great little ride. I was very impressed how quick it was
Now That's a good looking 50cc scooter
I wish Honda would make a scooter with this style of design but with a 250cc motor.
Love these walk around. Maybe one day….great video!
Had two Metropolitans, this might number three in red

Thanks for stopping bye I appreciate!!
Really like this color. Wish it had 4 valves.

A helmet will fit in my 2023. A medium size full face Bell Qualifier helmet
I don't think all helmets will fit, at least without some disassembly.

I’m glad you’re loving your metro. It’s definitely a great city explorer.
That thing was pretty quick 😮
I was very surprised
First you said 1.2 gallons then later 1.6?! Which is it?! Also. Whats the mpg?!
Very nice 👌 thanx
It kinda reminds me of the original 50cc vespas😄, that's a nice scooter from honda🛵
It kinda does for sure!!
Very nice.
It definitely is that!!!
I wish I could have one of each
Does it shake. My arms go numb from the vibrations on my small manufacturer scooters.
No it doesn’t shake at all
Is there no USB-port for charging the phone etc?
Yes there is
Question: Does it say on the outside of the scooter somewhere "49cc" so when the police pull me over
I can show them it's not a 50cc?
That info will be on registration and info from the dealership
I was wondering the same thing. If you register it and get a license plate, would that solve the problem because the cops could get vehicle information?
What weight can this one carry? Can I add an adult passenger?
Not made for a passenger
Take a dual motor 3000 watt. 60 amp Ebike over it. Pennies a day to run and gets over 100 miles a charge.

What is that hole in the front for
I think it’s the intake
Right a 0:48 it’s a small round hole inside the metropolitan logo.
Those sound effects at start are startling. Please stop.
This scooter looks ugly
