finally got this tutorial to David Gilmour's performance of the Comfortably Numb solo at Pompeii done. hope it helps you out. these long live solo tutorials are a bitch to do tutorials for, haha. however there seems to be a lot of interest and few tutorials, so I guess I'll keep doing what I'm doing.
cheers, Kelly

There are a lot of excellent guitar tutorials on the web, but I have to say you capture the nuances of the music superbly. Especially on the Floyd stuff (this video is fantastic). Count me in as a subscriber.
Thank you so so so much for this.
This is such a good tutorial and spot on accurate, really quick and easy to follow for a numpty like me, thank you so much !!
Thank you so much for this! You did this solo justice and then some!
HERE WE GO!

My man! thank you for this
Increible maestro
Genius!
Thank you very much sir. I've been looking for this tutorial for a while now. I watched your tutorial or rather advice on Muscle Memory. At my age I have to build them up first, but it works. Also busy attempting your, The Loner tutorial. I hope I can get THIS solo under the knee, but with the way you explain, it should be fine. I'm 74. Do you think I'll manage? Thanks for uploading.
Very nice 🙏
Very nice!!! Make Another break in the wall plss
Thanks 👍
Love that guitar! What kind of pickups are those? Been wondering if I should get some emg pick ups, or invest in pedals. I have a modeling amp that can achieve a lot of different pedals. That’s for this tutorial, soon as I can get a reset on my stupid password, I’m throwing a donation your way!
Hi Kelly! Honestly can’t thank you enough for the pulse version and now this - which I will learn too!
I usually don’t request in the comments but you seem to be the only person doing these particular live versions which are insane…. It’s a pretty big request but I’m obsessed with the live Gdańsk version of Echoes… it’s insanely long but every part of it is beautiful… would you ever consider doing a tutorial for that song (minus the seagull effects halfway through)?
Thanks!!!
I'll give it some consideration. Not many of us doing tutorials for long live solos and there definitely seems to be interest out there.
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar for sure! Thank you so much for doing what you’re doing already! Love every video/ solo/ tutorial you upload!
Live in Gdansk is my favorite version of Echoes. An excellent request!
@@michaeldeo7564 such an incredible concert. Mental how people can be so talented.. another favourite from that gig is high hopes - especially the outro!
@@justAblurr1 yep, high hopes is my favorite song, Gdańsk my favorite version!
Hey Kelly, superb lesson man, keep up the good work!!
I was wondering if you could please post the backing track you used for this solo for the cover you made?
Much thanks

I agree, Sorrow would be great especially the Pompeii version @Kelly Dean Allen Guitar tutorials are so spot on!
Thank you so much!
Hey Kelly, thanks for the tutorials mate.. Just wondering if we could get a tutorial on Marooned pink Floyd? that would be awesome cheers! Love your work!…
Gonna get on that soon, cheers
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar mate your a legend!! Thank you!
Titanic work !!!!
Incrível! Fantástico!
It's interesting the comment about money. I try to contribute when I can of course. But it's reasonable. I spent years dreaming about playing Strangelhold and then you created a great lesson on it. Back in the day I would have given big bucks for that, and I think I gave something for it. Back in the day I didn't have 4 kids, 7 grandkids and a mortgage either :-( So enternal gratefulness and some dollars thrown your way when I can. Of course I'm wearing a Pink Flow shirt as we speak so you know my favorite band of all times, and I generally consider David Gilmour as my biggest guitar hero of all times. Cheers!!
Thanks Brian! I don't do this for the money of course. If I did, I'd be pretty poor, haha. I just love it as a hobby. A few extra bucks at the end of the month is nice but it's certainly not my driving force.
Wouldn't it be much more convenient if you added the tabs as well?
Excellent.. What strings are you using? 🎶🎶👍
Ernie Ball 10s
Thanks
Brilliant tutorials as always I'll be sure to donate when I get some money! I was wondering if you could perhaps do the 2nd money solo from live at pompeii? I've only got 21 frets on my strat so the studio version is a bit hard to play
Gonna have a look at The Blue next, but I'll have a look at Money soon.
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar sounds great thanks The Blue is brilliant aswell
Go on you may as well do delicate sounds of thunder too ;-)
Sir please can provide tabs for playing the lyrics of the song comfortably numb
is it just the guitar or are there any pedals involved and what amp/amp settings do you use for this song
Definitely some delay and reverb. Maybe a touch of chorus.
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar thanks very helpful
would you happen to have the tabs by any chance ? Willing to pay for it !
Unfortunately not.
Sir I am a big fan but please put timestamps on this kind of videos....that will be helpful. Thanks sir 😍😍😁😁
Would you believe that I don't know how? Haha. I'll figure it out. Cheers
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar i don't mean that sir 🤣....just telling you it would be helpful if you put it 🤣🤣
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar If you put a timecode in the description with notes it should add it.
Example:
0:00 intro
1:15 part one
2:00 part two
and so on
30:10
Very nice...good shit man....if i had any money to give id give hahah but sure as fuck will buy you a drink if i ever see you men
