158.000 tons would make a good ramming boat. Just all armor, engine and torps, lots of torps to thin the herd before you shove your bow through someone's mainbelt.
I did this on a build but put 2x 12" triples on the centreline and let the game auto target after the first kill. All I controlled was the tertiary and the primary battery. The results were amazing. Would easily have dispensed with most of this rag tag fleet however after 20 or so games I found the 12" consistently ran out of ammo before all the other batteries. When that happened the game got very exciting in the closing phase. I found switching the tertiary battery to 'aggressive' in the closing phase resulted in a great deal of amusement. Everything down to 3" would open up with no accuracy but the sheer volume of fire would almost completely miss the target but about 0.5% would by sheer fluke hit. Then the damage would slow it and it would succumb. Focusing on the target with my ship in the distance and the game at 5x looked like the target was being peed on from a great distance with a long stream of golden gunnery LOL.
One build i havent seen Stealth try is to make a super bb designed for HE spamming MK-5 guns (by 1940, its usually the 381mm / 15 inch ones) with auto loader and incediary shells + Lyditte, kinda horrible at killing fast but its very fun to watch a hail of shells fall from afar nullifying whatever armor your enemy brings while your ship looks like a cutting table with 24 barrels of guns on it.
@Stealth17 Gaming Hey, Stealth, regarding placement of small barbettes: I found out that slots for them are attached to the towers and move as You move the tower itself. Hovever, You could, say, place sec tower more aft, install barbettes, then delete (!) the tower and place it again where You actually want it and additional barbette slots will become available. It sometimes even works if you first put a different tower just to get those slots and then replace it with another one (some wider towers allow barbettes farther away from superstrcuture which translates to better firing angles)
For the German Supers, I like to do that tower config with 4 turrets of double-barrel 457mm or 483mm cannons, and with 2 turrets of triple-barrel 406mm just behind the main tower, next to the secondary tower. Then I have another set of triple-barrel 406mm cannons just outside the front alcove of the main tower acting as super heavy secondaries.
A question: Can you place a main battery barbette on the "B" mount to get a double-height on the turret, then make it a "C" superfiring turret by placing a "B" and "A" turret in front of it?
i dont think so it would probs be spammed on all ships if possible and is just not realistic you can have a double super firing secondory/mayn armormeant on heavy and light cruisers i think since they have one normal barbete and one extra tall one i think he used this once but i dont remember the video i also dont have the game so i cant test this: (
@@lolkid6018 It's normally a terrible idea because of the bad things it does to ship stability. If he's operating something with such a wide beam - and such a deep draft - might just be stable enough for it to work, though...

You should design a battleship with maximum armor while still slugging 🤔 I know you’ve done one in the past but here’s a catch: you can’t go bigger than 12” and you can only keep your compliment of secondaries to 20 of any caliber 🤔
Quick question do you also have keyboard issues in that 1.05 beta? i usually move the camera around with wasd and e/q to turn it... but those keys randomly start and stop working which isn´t really helpful during building let alone battle. In the official 1.04 version i never had or have this issue. On a sidenote, you should try to think bigger regarding the secondary armament, side mounted primaries fit in the large spots quite nicely. And who doesn´t want some 16" trips as secondaries for when the 20" duals are reloading. Yeah sure you can´t target multiple ships... but overkill is just so satisfying.

EDIT: I feel like the larger draft made your ship much easier to hit, thing is sitting like 30 stories high out of the water. Yea watching that slow part look how much of your belt was exposed when turning that is crazy
What's the smallest ship you can make? Can you make a tiny little pt boat and just spam hundreds of them at a battleship? Maybe reverse the 50 vs 1 scenario.
4 Single barrel 20s or 2 triples, top armor and torp pro., then 6 double barreled 8 inch secondaries, 4 double barreled 6 inch. That should make for a good brawler/sniper.
I think i built an abomination… 24 16” guns in 6 quad turrets, dozens of secondaries, 158,000 tons. KMS Kaiser Wilhelm Der Große. If i throw it into a custom battle with a heavy cruiser or two and some DDs, it’s unstoppable.
Do you think they should add modern warships (like guided missile destroyers and cruisers) because I had the idea for a modern "battleship" (even though it's more of a heavily armored Battlecruser with a shitload countermeasures such as lasers) but it's designed to draw and survive additional enemy fire than other ships. Also has 1 (possibly 2) twin 12 inch gun turret, lots of missiles and possibly 4 6 inch guns from the Arleigh Burke and Ticonderoga class.
Honestly, I am sad that the german adv aft superstructure IV is basicly a copy paste of the fore, with the side gun mounts removed. It really does not look great. But you kind of have to use it if you want a large ship, since you will need 2 funnels if you want any kind of speed.
Hey Stealth, great video as always. However; at the start of your build you said something to the effect of beating the enemy into the dirt. Didn't you mean to say, "Sending them to the bottom of the drink."? This is a naval simulator after all.
Slight request, Check the AI armor/stats... A Battleship with 15.4 inches of belt armor and a Battlecruiser with 17.1... And heavier than the Battleship... Also, so I don’t have to watch at 0.25x speed... or even slower...
Screw that get a 600000 battleship with 15 32 inch high velocity mains and 12 18inch guns and deck 52 in deck 36 main belt and 18 inch secondary belt. And 72 inch on 18 inch guns and 96 inch armor. 32 inch mains. And engines that go 40 knots.
IMHO torps have become too extreme in this game. Played the 1920 German campaign and almost every time I had to auto-resolve in order to avoid getting smashed to smithereens by a checkered grid of torps...
I mean, we all know in history, torpedos never failed or detonated out of target or at the wrong depth, never went off course, but they did reliably achieve double digit km ranges against moving maneouvering targets after all the time they took to arrive... And they most definetly didnt blow up setting fire to large portions of the deck when hit, or even less weakened the armor where tubes went through ;P

Ship generation is absolutely abysmal. You should start creating the ships you fight against.
Or give them a autogen ship and then improve on what the generator give them.

Can you try a 1940 1 battleship vs 3 battles and 5 anything else. But you cannot use secondaries. Replace them with torps.
