Am I the only one who didn't mind the game being over 100GB and actually liked the idea of being able to play this completely offline without sacrificing resolution or anything if going on unexplored routes? I mean, not that it would make much of a difference to me honestly, but it has happened that maybe I've played MSFS while internet connection was slow and if those happen again with the new sim version it will cause problems unlike before. Which isn't great. I really prefer having everything on my hard drive tbh. As far as other things go, I am really looking forward to the pilot career part. And especially the part where they said they will add the possibility of actually managing an airline company. That would be so cool. I really hope they will get to implement that in the best way possible and trying to make it realistic and not like some of those silly games that are already available on steam that let you "manage" an airline company. I don't mind if they take their time with it, I just don't want it to feel like an arcade mini game.
I agree. The Internet element seems to be worrying a lot of people. I'm remaining hopeful that it'll work a lot smoother than we hope, at least after a few days. I feel you on the career, from the small bit I played, it seems pretty serious, although not super hard-core on procedures etc, it still does that well.
It depends how much download all actually downloads. It'll do your aircraft and photogrammetry, but there's no way to download all the map data. I think that's where a lot of people are concerned. I'm hoping there just aren't any issues to be honest
Personally, I thing this constant internet streaming might come back to bite them in the rear end, the internet is only as good as it's weakest link, so if some routers between you and the MSFS servers are misbehaving, then chances are your connection will suffer and same with MSFS. Also, will they have multiple servers worldwide, for example, let's say they only have the one server on the USA, people in the EU or anywhere else in the world will have a slow connection with huge latency issues. Even in North America, if the server is in eastern USA, us people in western Canada will also suffer latency (80 to 100ms delays) so I can imagine the signal having to make it across that Atlantic or Pacific oceans. Time will tell I guess, but this is my deepest concern, the Devs can fix software bugs, but they can't fix the internet.
It's definitely going to be a worry up until we see it in action. The alpha test did give me hope. I do reckon that the rolling cache will be able to prevent most connection issues, at least I hope so. Let's just hope that they've built some redundancy into their systems!
nice vlog. no point in going to Kiribati - the release time worldtime is 4pm GMT which will be 5am Nov 20 in Kiribati - no ones getting in early. I am interested to see how the internet servers hold up - and I'm wondering if my banking and other critical apps will go down at around 4.03 GMT 😂😂
Hopefully the alpha has helped them ascertain and resolve any server side issues that may be present. I’m on a wait and see approach, not gonna get to use it much before the Xmas break, so will look forward to all the RUclips reviews and details that’ll be coming from next week. Good vid btw!
I'm very hopeful for this too. Putting a lot of faith in the devs haha. I'll be getting right into it ASAP so I can get my first impressions down. Thank you very much!
Could not even get my payment to clear the damned microsoft store. 11 hours, nothing settled. Cannot even close the account they are so ass backwards. Going through Steam..
Yeah this is something I've been wondering. They did have the previews for the grand canyon event though. But maybe a couple of days before we'll see some
I have a 4070ti. I'm not expecting much in the way of FPS issues, probably nothing tweaking a few settings can't fix. However we'll probably have to wait for a few optimisations. I'm happy to see NVIDIA has the new drivers ready to go, so fingers crossed 🤞
@alexsp7086 there'll be plenty of videos here from day 1. So hopefully you can get a good idea to make your decision. Sure there will be a lot of content covering it very soon
@@monan101Thanks man for sending this to me, I just noticed throughout the video there were a lot of artifacts and graphical errors especially for a good system like yourself, not saying its your fault but could you say you experienced thus stuff? And if so did it effect you? Love the content and the game.
@@Redline-gv4xx no problem! There was a good few artifacts and visual bigs yeah. I chalked it up to being alpha haha. It could have also been because it wouldn't let me enable/disable the eye tracker too. Hoping that those issues don't persist in 2024. Thank you very much!
@LipsumLazyGamer yeah that whole 12mb is going to help 🤣 maybe there will be a further pre install the day of launch. Haven't seen anything yet though.

The game has been confirmed to have a download all button so you can play offline why is everyone so crazy about a feature you can turn off?

What to expect? I reckon at least 50% of buyers won't be able to use because of their internet speed. Asobo, absolutely no foresight whatsoever.

New to the channel, (L&S). Thanks for the info.
Welcome to the channel and thank you very much!
Seems weird to not have any reviews out…
Yeah this is something I've been wondering. They did have the previews for the grand canyon event though. But maybe a couple of days before we'll see some
That's because no one has access to what's going to be the final version.
Yes, very worried…
Should you be worried ? yes if you have s 4070 card you should

Is this a new F-18?
That's just the standard version from 2020 that they upgraded for 2024. Only difference I noticed was you can click more buttons!
What about loading times? For me 7 minutes or so at the moment in MSFS 2020 loading PMDG.
Loading times were drastically reduced when I tried the alpha. So thats not something I'm currently worried about.
Waiting a month after release to buy it. No point buying all this unfinished stuff.
I hope it's worth the wait for you. I'm willing to take the gamble
@@monan101 MSFS 2020 is doing ok for now but i would rather see the luanch on youtube and see how it is.

I think that I will wait at least 3 months.I don't have the patience to deal with bugs, I need reliable things.
What might your pc specs be?
Currently it's
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950x
GPU: NVIDIA 4070TI
RAM: Corsair vengeance 32gb.
Peripherals: X55 Rhino stick and Throttle. Tobii eye tracker.

downloading issues
This is probably going to be an issue. I imagine everyone all downloading at once might ddos them. Hope not though!
@@monan101 I was hoping "pre-install" to actually pre install something... nope. it pre install the installer... no words.

a lot of bugs?
I'd be shocked otherwise
Expect the same old thing. Unrealistic flight models and goofy looking graphics. Low frames even with a ten thousand dollar computer.
😂😂too bad
Haha yes, fully expected! Guess we'll need to wait and see. Maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised
@@monan101low frames is all to be expected. Physics and graphics had their engines completely remade.
Try 15 mbs and make a new video.
I may actually be able to test that when it's released. That's something I could do a video on.
