What an amazing job. Especially doing it at night. It looks fantastic. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year if you don't post before that. Love the videos. Stay safe .

Thank you very much! It was quite a bit of work but I think the results long term are well worth it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family as well!

What a nice job you’re doing! After this, soak it in Fluid Film or something equivalent. I’m looking forward to seeing how that runs with the turbo on it, diesel’s love turbo’s.

That’s the plan!! Going to spray everything with cavity wax.
I also have a turbo upgrade sitting patiently in a box waiting to be bolted on…!

Dang that is commitment. Wish I had the motivation to do that to mine. Where did you send your trans out to? It would be nice to get the lower engine mount(mustache bar) and oil pan so the motor will fit under the lid. Love the content. Thank you.

Thank you for the suggestion! I’ve been working on a plan to get it under the lid. For now I’m going to mount it such that the lid gets raised, but I plan on lowering it to get the lid to sit flush. First I really just want to get it running and then I can tweak it and do some of that stuff.

Is the internal frame coating like an oil?

More of a paint. I will be spraying everything with wax as well for extra protection.
