I'm Faren. I big chopped in April 2013. I have medium to low porosity hair, that is super dense at the crown. My haircare regimen includes washing my hair at least once a week, regular treatments (protein, olaplex and bond salve) and trims every 3 months on blown out hair. I am not a hair care professional, and I'm honestly still learning my hair.

The Split Ender Pro is the name brand version of this tool and costs a bit more. I love it!
What I've noticed is that these ones from tiktok and the like aren't direction oriented like the name brand (you have to flick a switch to change the direction your going down in and it switches the direction of the spinning blade inside). That may be why it's catching some of your hair....
And definitely on flat ironed hair only 🎉

I'm a Cosmetologist.... & I got it 😭 I hate the sound! I think, like you it's for home. Id rather pull out my shears any day! But, I do like that it gets mid shaft splits 😍
I love when actual cosmetologists leave comments, so thank you for watching and commenting💜. The sound, ABSOLUTELY not 🤭 but I can see myself investing in a higher quality one for at home upkeep.
How was your client's hair the next time they came in for a trim after using the trim machine? I'm afraid that it will cause more split ends over time.
It was ok. I don't see myself using it much... But, coming out of braids, when clients don't want to cut their hair, I would use this for.
I did notice it did better going slowly down the hair. 🤣 I don't have time... 🤣 But, I'm always trying to find solutions for my clients.

Please do a follow-up video to let us know how your ends are doing before your next trim. I'm afraid it may cause more split ends.
For sure! I usually do monthly hair vlogs so I’ll check in there. My stylist is out of the salon until June, but I’ll get a professional trim then and see what she says too.
I can definitely tell a difference in the sway and bounce and when I see professional trims the first thing I notice is movement!! Yeah I’m buying one 😊
I could definitely tell a difference, my hair was soooo much easier to comb
But the ends still needs a good trim still. You are so BRAVE !
