- It's been going viral and my DM's are blowing up so I finally tried the new Split End Trimmer on my hair for all of you! First, I want to start by saying this isn't a new concept for me...we actually tested out the "Split Ender" a few years back but this is for sure a newer and sleeker so let's see if its the same, better, or worse!!

In 2016 @BrooklynAndBailey tested the "Split-Ender", and it actually DID work. Now the new "Split End Trimmer" has been going viral on TikTok ,so I wanted to see if it actually worked just as well or not (there have been lot's of mixed reviews so I decided I should try it). I actually think it did just what it said it would! Only cut off about 1/4 inch pieces of hair and honestly helped tame some of my fly aways. I ALWAYS suggest testing a small strand of hair in the back before doing your whole head, but for me that was a WIN! What's really nice is that it just needs a little charge and then you can use it cordless. Overall I think this works pretty well. I wouldn't use it all the time, and I wouldn't say it replaces a full hair cut but if you're in a pinch this does the job!

I have been using the splitender for 5 years my hair comes to my lower back its the only hair cut that i have had for the 5 years it has really helped me to grow my hair
Which split ender do you have or reccomend? There are so many on the market now. Also do you turn it over to get the under side of your hair?

I would love to try this out! I have so many split ends yikes! But I love using the Hairitage split end rescue cream and leave in conditioners, which I feel makes my hair look healthier :)

just got mine and it says only on ends of hair 3 times each strand not meant for the whole length shaft 😬

If you start it so high up , won’t it just create a bunch of uneven layers down the hair shafts?
No, it only takes 1/4 inch off the ends of each individual hair strand that stands up into the blade housing. Kind of hard to explain in a RUclips comment, but if you watch videos of how it works, you'll understand. This trimmer invention is truly a godsend!
The one you have is NOT the new version of the Split Ender. It is a knock off. Use at your own risk. The original Split Ender is really good.
Mine says I have to oil the blades but I don’t have oil for it so I’ve been scared to try it😭😂

Do you mean Afro hair? Probably not since she had to straighten even a very light wave.
