I've had 3 of the regular-sized trimmers! I loved them and feel as though they did what they were supposed to. My hair grew very quickly and I was able to retain a ton of length with them. I never had the mini though... I didn't notice any extra split ends or issues at all.
I think perhaps this product would be great to maintain your hair after going to a salon for a trim. Possibly extending the time between trips to your stylist?
I would say so if u deal with splitting only/mostly at the ends. Which was the case for me when I tried it. Now years later, dealing with hormonal issues that causes breakage and weak hair - so now my splits are thru out the middle of some strands and not just splitting at the ends. I say all that to say - the tool will only cut like 1/4 inch from the ENDs, it won’t catch anything above that.

Thanks! I didn’t notice more split ends but I also don’t feel it helped. I’d been better off going thru and cutting the splits individually. But i did go get a cut a few weeks later and had about 6 inches of hair cut. However, i didn’t notice anything between using the product and getting the cut.
Usually those reviews are from people who bought cheap knock offs. The creator of the original one stressed the fact that he uses superior blades that will not damage the hair. For awhile there were counterfeits that looked like the real one being sold. He had to threaten these people to stop or he'd take legal action. All that to say the legit one does not cause split ends.

No, I just think it’s not worth the time it takes. However, this may be different for the larger version.
