so... I used to used this about 15 yrs ago when they first came out and you could buy them at Walgreens for $30. It does work really well especially if you wear a pony a lot and have split ends throughout (scissors don't really fix that). I looked at getting another, saw the price now and just can't justify it, but it does work well.

I had the original Split Ender years ago when I had long hair and loved it cutting off only 1/8th inch of hair at a time! It really got rid of the bad ends!

Bunny, just so you know, even when a person has long hair, there are still hairs that are at different stages of growth (not all hair follicles 'recycle' at the same time)... So when you do that twist test, you are actually seeing different lengths of hair sticking out of the twisted lock of hair (and maybe some split ends too, but mostly just different lengths of individual hairs sticking out of the twist).
Split ends can be seen when looking closely to each individual hair and seeing where it splits. Plus, just snipping the split does not help. This is why it's good to just trim the ends completely every so often. And for many people using some type of conditioner, especially on the ends, helps to manage the split ends.
Hope this clarifies something for ya :)
Hair follicles have a cycle of growth and 'death'.
When a hair follicle gets to the end of the growth cycle and becomes 'dormant', the hair falls out. If each follicle had the same exact cycle as all the others, we'd all go bald and then regrow all our hair at once all the time. But since they don't, our hair falls out gradually each day and new hairs start to grow again in their place.
Also, everyone's hair follicles have different length of time of growth... that's why some people just can't seem to ever have really long hair (because their cycles are shorter in time than other people's).
As far as split ends go, the better we treat our hair, the less split ends we have.
So, less pulling when combing out knots. More conditioning and gentleness. Less use of products which dry out our hair (some chemical treatments, like some dyes, can really do more damage than others).
And of course, the longer each hair, the longer it's been around to get damaged, so the longer hairs will be more likely to have split ends.
I hope this helps to clarify things.
We definitely do not need an expensive gadget like this :D
If a person has caused so much damage to their hair as to have real split ends go halfway up the length of all the hairs, then I'm afraid that just a little trim will not help, as the hair should be cut above ALL the split ends... and then hopefully take better care of their hair so it can grow longer without getting split ends except for the very tips (to be trimmed).

Not worth the cost, you can go to the local Haircuttery or Great Clips and spend $20 with tip, and you get a shampoo. But as far as twisting your hair for the split ends, that is not true. Your hair falls out and regrows at varying rates, so those pieces that stick out are newer growth.
But I love the video, and Bunny is the best reviewer out there! I really feel like she represents those of us who are not professionals or all that coordinated...the people who don't always know what they are doing as soon as they open a product. It really helps me to know if this will be an easy to use product or not. 💚💚💚

Lol. I just use toe nail clippers, I'm too afraid to try and cut it with scissors. I think it's easier to chop a whole lot off with scissors when you have curly hair. And after a so called stylist cut my hair shorter than it was supposed to be (she couldn't cut it straight) then layered it and another one pulled 1/2 my hair out with a straight iron, I refuse to go to another so called professional.

I don't understand how people can say your hair isn't thick when they've never felt it.. You can't tell someones hair thickness by looking at it. My hair looks like it would be super fine, but it's so thick I can't do anything with it. My best friend has really curly hair that looks like it would be super thick, but it's the opposite. Your hair may look thin on camera, but it could be really thick in person! Even Guy said your hair was thick.
HeyJessi thickness and thinness is different than fine and coarse hair. You can have thick, fine hair or thin, coarse hair. Typically if someone has thin hair or super full, thick hair- it can be noticed by others without touch. Texture is hard to differentiate on video.
L Greenski I know they're different. Let me rephrase myself. My hair is very thick and coarse, but everyone thinks it's going to be thin and fine, but when they touch it, they realize it's not. So, you can't always tell from looking.

Yeah, I had a friend in high school whose hair was about as long and thin as Bunny's looks and she would always say it was so thick, needed two of the thickest hair ties and it'd still slip out during practices.....and like an ass, I'd be like... gurl, you don't even know what thick hair is. Tie your hair ties tighter and stop wasting our time. xD It had no volume and looked thin - but when I finally went to do it one day for an event, iT WAS THE HEAVIEST THING I EVER FELT! Like....to this DAY I still can not forgot how heavy and thick that simple ponytail was. My mind was forever blown.

So this is the second video of yours I'm watching, which I guess makes me one of the "outsiders" and not part of the "swamp family" and I feel I should give my two cents, since it's not hate and they seem to make a big deal out of strangers who leave hate. Truth is, I have no idea how I've stumbled across your videos. I vaguely remember watching Fine Bros vids or something and this really outrageous-looking video shows up in the recommended sidebar (thanks youtube) and I click it out of curiosity (cause I'm not a cat and, as such, can't get killed by that) and I remember it being the stamp-on brow video. And I was kinda blown away. Sure, I understand anonymous asses watching you and finding stuff to complain about, but honestly, you're awesome. You're hilarious and for some reason, you remind me of the stereotypical image of a fangirl, which is also cool. I wish my friends had the energy and enthusiasm you have, I can understand how you have such a huge following - watching your videos makes me feel included, like it's gossiping about new/weird products with a friend. I love it. So please know that you are amazing and keep deleting 'em hate comments, and I wish you all the success with your online endeavors in future.
Also, about the product: marginal success rate for half your college fund; I'd say it's not worth it. A haircut is cheaper, better results.

I know everyone's saying this but seriously, why is there so much hate? It's always the same thing that I see. People are complaining about what she looks like or what she does in the video. That's what 60% of the comments are and 40% are people defending bunny, asking why there's so much hate, supporting/kind comment, etc.
If you're gunna complain/hate on her when you decided to click and watch the video, then don't complain. If you clicked the video you can obviously see who the video is by, yet you're gunna complain or hate on her when you chose to watch it? If you like her videos then watch them if you watched one of her videos and didn't like it, then find something that suits you. Stop wasting your time or complaining by hating on something that you don't like or it isn't your type because not everything is there for you to like it. Hey bunny I am a hair stylist If you want to see less frizz in your hair and less want it to be less puffy use Suave leave in conditioner it is usually in a grey sortable rectangle trianglish container and has a bit of purple or use Paul Mitchel leave in conditioner and this is usually in white bottle with a bit of blue I have very curly hair and it helps a lot hope this helps love you and your channel !!!!!!

okay so i am a hairstylist and let me just clear up one thing, when you twist your hair like that looking for split ends, those peices sticking out ARE NOT SPLIT ENDS, our hair grows in different lengths , so in all reality your just looking at hair that is JUST HAIR, not split ends , secondly your split ends will occur about 3-4 inches from the ends of your hair, thats where your breakage and split ends occur, thats where you loose your length depending on how bad your ends are, so that being said the split end cutter as you could tell was chopping what it could at your ends, i noticed a difference at your ends , but could also see some breakage and splits still, so personally i would only reccomend the use of this to people who just want to tidy up their ends or just keep their hair growing possibly , however because its not getting all of them. just go to a salon and get the 3-4 inches chopped off and use a split end mending leave in treatment every day to prolong the life of your ends that are now healthy.....
