I got my first eyeliner when I was little, it was the 80s so yes it was green. lol

OMG! Today I wore green eyeliner that was given to me by an elderly friend. I normally would never wear this eyeliner but my kids got into my make up and destroyed it so I didn’t have a lot of options. This old makeup is like Clay it just smears everywhere.
I don't think Claire's makeup is technically "kids" makeup. Like maybe that cell phone thing. But the kids makeup I had was some cheap ol' stuff you'd get from Walmart and the Dollar Store. Super plastic, clear packaging, even chunky in glitter. Sometimes even came with chunky, plastic "heels" that might have had a princess on it and definitely broke within the second use. The makeup that looks like a toy is something I would classify as "kids" makeup. I think the foundation and powders and stuff is more for preteen, beginner use (if they don't know that drugstore makeup will work 10000000x better). But then again, it depends on what you define as "kids". I don't totally classify preteens as kids-kids but I'll still see them as a child when it comes to wisdom and knowledge maybe. I think once you past toddler stage and you hit 12 or 13, you're not totally a KID, but you're a little past that. I don't know lol We all have different views.

Once and for all - Claire's is a store that is catered towards 'tweens' and a 'tween' is a child. Nikki, nor Bunny specified what age a kid was. Anything under 18 is still a kid. Point being they used shitty, bright, sparkly makeup to do a full face that typically would not be done with any of these products. Why can't people appreciate the content rather than complaining about everything.
I enjoyed the video.

it's like a thing that people get really uncomfortable by holes like clusters of holes make people feel sick or anxious. so maybe it's the same thing but I agree the beauty blender freaked me out

when I was younger I was only allowed to wear the light kids makeup with like no pigment at all until I was about 15 then I was allowed to get the real talk makeup things, especially with very dark colors.

I first became interested in makeup at around 8, I remember that my younger sister got eyeshadow before me and I thought makeup was only lipstick, and eyeshadow. When I finally got eyeshadow at around 10 or 11, I got so excited and wore it everywhere😂 finally around 7th grade I got some concealer, mascara, and eyeshadow and that's all I wore everyday. Now, I'm in 8th grade and I use foundation, concealer, powder, highlight, eyeliner, sometimes I don't even use eyeshadow anymore, and mascara. For my eyeliner I've found that what fits me best is doing a thin line on the top of my eyelid, and waterline, which is why I don't normally need/want eyeshadow. Anyways, that's my journey of makeup so far...
I wish people who do this challenge would use genuine kids makeup from the local shop, and not from Claire's and such, because the stuff from Claire's is actually pretty decent

When I was 13 I wore mascara & had to sneak to wear it. I would wipe it off before I go home. My mom noticed & asked if I was wearing eyeliner. I answered no. She got a wet napkin & rubbed my eye & of course black came off on it. She yelled at me for lying. My answer was "you asked if I was wearing eyeliner you didn't ask about mascara". I was not allowed to wear any make up until high school.

My mom would let me play around with makeup when I was little but not wear it in public. Then when I was 13 I was allowed to wear mascara and concealer . My mom then limited me to three products when I was 14 and I could wear whatever three products I wanted. But then homegirl discovered contour and my mother could not hold me back I just went batshit crazy and I still am I go full glam on the daily 😂😂😂

A lot of teenagers still use Claire's and I wouldn't consider them children. Makeup for kids should come in shitty packaging with rhinestones and little stickers. This is more like affordable makeup for beginners.

I feel like Claire's and Icing makeup is more for pre-teens and teenagers. Real kids makeup would probably be at Toys R Us, like the ones made by Rosart and Barbie.
You can think what you think, but being 11, I think Claire's is alright for children even younger than me. I won't let them dull their 8 year old sparkle. Ps. I don't think Toys R Us makes makeup. If so it's just Barbie or "My First Makeup Kit".

Claire's is for kids and young teens. Icing is for older teens and adults, it's a branch by Claire's. I had only seen the little lipgloss cell phone things when I was younger, heh.
Also, unless someone is teaching an 8-year-old to contour and highlight, I don't think they will. Ugh. Yeah, I think I definitely agree with you on that one.

I figured I could "substitute" bronzer when I couldn't find setting powder. I have some odd yearbook photos because of that.

i dont know what makeup kids wear these days but when i was 8 there wasnt any concealer or mascara. we only had gelly eyeshadow what you cant see the differents from with lipgloss, and some shitty blush. (sorry for my bad english👍)

As a kid, I can tell you it may not be perfect compared to the adult makeup, but I rock it. I can make it work.

first off, im sorta happy with the way you consistently say children or kids and not "little girls" cause, well, ya never know who else might use it.
Second, as an opinion for kids wearing make up i dont see a problem with it! We should teach kids its okay to wear make up as long as they want to, and that they dont NEED it to be considered beautiful, Makeup is a form of art, and kids should be aloud to delve into that. but they shouldnt be taught that they need it to be pretty.
We should make efforts to make sure that what is IN the makeup is safe for children though, and dont have anything harmful in them.
