Hi Bro, I like your way of reviewing motorcycles because you stick to point rather than beating round the bush and explain it in a simple manner. That is the reason i am putting my point of view and question in front of you to seek some advice which will help me to invest my money wisely in the best 400cc category bike. I was actually looking for a 250cc bike but since i am getting a 400cc bike in the same price range i am planning for 400cc/450cc bike. Now i am looking for a bike which is speed, fun and thrilling but when only when i want it to be so.. And i want it to be reasonably fast and as well as calm rest of the time while i am cruising & commuting in city. And i found out Speed 400 to be the perfect match but i can't ignore how capable Guerilla 450 is but i am not one who prefers such a aggressive riding everytime i go out for a ride. So i heard Guerilla's performance is reduced in eco mode. So my question is: 1. If i put Guerilla 450 in eco mode how much percent of horsepower and torque is available? 2. Is the Guerilla's eco mode similar to Speed 400 normal performance or how less or more is it? 3. Also please explain more about guerilla's eco mode performance. Thanks
While I quite enjoy riding the bike, it has been an absolute disaster till now owning one. Khivraj Triumph Chennai has been absolute rubbish as well. Valvetrain noise which Khivraj Triumph refused to acknowledge and I had to bring the roof down in the showroom, make a scene and write multiple emails to Bajaj/KTM/Triumph before they sent someone from the factory and replaced the entire head assembly - valves, guides, springs, camshafts, rocker arms and all. They were also quite clueless to the cause and have as of now not bothered to disclose the issue which seems to be prevalent on multiple engines to varying degrees though the rhetoric has been.. Do a 1000 kms and the 1st oil change will make it butter smooth. Yeah right. I was born yesterday. Some examples are smooth and refined (esp the ones put on test ride duty) and some are pure garbage and need some serious intervention like mine. Now the cone set has failed and is awaiting replacement (parts are shared with the pulsar NS, yes the part nos match). The bike was delivered with a dent on the tank (tank replaced on Day 1), the odd nuts and bolts loose (exhaust header, exhaust heat shields etc), no coolant in the reservoir, scratch on the instrument console (the buggers wipe it with the same soiled cloth they use to clean the wheels and other muck on delivery day and there were too many other problems to deal with to really fuss about this scratch on day 1), bubbling paint on the headlight rim (awaiting replacement next), bar end mirrors not torqued properly that they would keep spinning around the bar, tyre pressures set to 36PSI front and back (Reco is 26 and 33 respectively) and almost zero fuel in the tank (gauge was not showing a single bar). Talking about fuel and tank, the fuel gauge has a mind of its own. I've owned the 1st gen Caliber, Eliminator 175, Pulsar 200 2nd gen DTSi, Avenger 200 Oil Cooled, 1st gen KTM Duke 200, 2nd Gen KTM Duke 390 all from the Bajaj stable and never faced such issues either with upfront quality or the service center listening to your issues. Put a Triumph sticker on it and they believe the name overshadows crappy quality levels and even crappier service support from Khivraj Triumph Chennai. A huge no of parts are from the Bajaj stable ... yes... part nos match for a huge bunch of components. This bike is an amalgamation of the Duke, Dominar, Pulsars, Avengers and others. Nothing bad about that. Keeps cost down. But stop pretending that this has come all the way from Hinckley. They need to sort the bike out and their dealers out more before people start seeing it for what it really is. I still like the bike tho. Just wish the support was something to crow about.

Had been saving for the last 2 years to get meself a interceptor 650.. I've saved almost enough to get that bike and now Bajaj Triumph do this 😢 my head still says go for parallel twin.. nothing beats that engine.. but my heart aches for baby Triumph 🥲😮 I'm in a fix. What to do man, what to do!
The interceptor although has a gold engine, it still has bad brakes, and wobbling issue at high speed. Plus rumour has it that RE's service isn't really that good. With the Speed/Scram400 or the upcoming RE Himalayan 450/ Scram 450, it is to be seen how that bike performs. But considering the VFM factor plus the fit and finish of this Triumph, i can say it is gonna be much better offer than the RE. Take a test ride and make a decision.
Please make a short or a reel discussing the rumors spreading regarding the price.. some image is circulating where the on road is way higher...and bajaj also released a statement but i feel a motoring channel like powerdrfit should clear this out cause every reviewer out is giving this bike great rating and always talking about that price.
@@VarunPainter i'm not a big fan of Speed, it's a great motorcycle but not something I would be wanting to ride, i'm more into wide structured motorcycles like the Scram & the X440 Yes it's not a direct comparo, but if the Scram offers me a considerable upgrade over the Harley, it's worth putting the extra dough.
"The price point at which the speed 400 comes in at there will be a bunch of new riders that will probably look at this as their very first motorcycle" Sure 🤣🤣. Who starts with a 400 cc motorcycle in India? These people are so out of touch with the reality.
You should look the motorbike riders outside India. It's just that India is a price sensitive market and wanting more mileage and value for money with lower cc bikes.
This Speed 400 expected to come to Indonesia around january 2024. But, it would be not affordable for indonesian. Still, this is a premium bike for average indonesian.

Digital speedos have speed error, even R1M suffers from 4 kmph difference, on entry levels like pulsar speedo error is about 20kmph at top speed. This is made for commuters in mind so they want you to see the analogue speed to avoid challans.
@@DerekHellscream well those who are gonna ride it in top speed would never care about chalan. And those who cares about chalan would never go over speed limit even if they cannot see the speed on the dash. This point is completely invalid.
@@MunmunDasgupta-v7o you're literally commenting from your mom's account Why would someone take you seriously Still I will explain, a biker/ enthusiastic driver cares more about engine RPM than speed. While riding/ driving fast all we need to do is maintain perfect RPM and shift at a certain time. Take true retro legends for example, The RX135, the tachometer is more visible than the speedo. That's why no matter if it's a retro or supersport the most important gauge in a enthusiast car/ bike always should be tachometer.
The excitement over the price is totally justified. But i have seen a image floating around internet where the on-road price was around 3.5L. Not sure if it is legit! But if thats the case then i don't think it's that much of a value 🤔

And all these comes at an onroad price of under 3 lakh rupees. Worth every single rupees. 😍❤️.
@@powerdriftofficial Intresting observation. Given the power & weight figures, one would think these bikes would be able to go toe to toe with the Dukes.
Whats the point of having a TOP speed of 160 Kph and limiting the legal highwayspeeds of 2 wheelers to 60 kph. Dont get the logic behind it. Please do enlighten us @PD
My whole point is why the govt is allowing vehicles with higher speeds.Agreed that the majority of the people do not follow traffic rules or give heed to speed limits but again limiting the 2 wheeler speed limit to 60 don't make sense. The only thing make sense is that the govt will swell their income through FINES which is what happening across Kerala. They have put across AI cams. Poor guys who love their bikes but can't really appreciate it's performance side.
All Triumph needs to work is on the delarship expansion, better after sales and maintenance costs.. Triumph already has a potential winner on their cards 👍💯

Hopefully the red version video will not be as such short as this one because this bike looks beautiful both in motion or still which swiftly allows viewer to engage for more than 7.20 video limit.
That will be a special story and we have a ton of them in the pipeline.
Wait for the 400x scrambler or buy this speed. Get yourself a nice riding gear and bank the rest of the money!!! You will not miss the parallel twin..
Go for the interceptor, it’s the better bike. I’m a owner of one and you won’t be disappointed.
For md the only demerit of interceptor 650 is the wheel diameter, you don't get too many options in 18 inch wheels.
Start with a test ride of both the motorcycles back to back. The feeling is different.
Please make a short or a reel discussing the rumors spreading regarding the price.. some image is circulating where the on road is way higher...and bajaj also released a statement but i feel a motoring channel like powerdrfit should clear this out cause every reviewer out is giving this bike great rating and always talking about that price.
You mean the on-road price? Its pretty clear no?
There's clarity now.
Is there any chance that we get after-market exhausts for these Triumph 400s bike in future? To give bit more bass, etc.
A single cylinder will only do so much to sound better. Getting an aftermarket setup will ruin the existing note we feel
There will be a world of aftermarket accessories that will open up soon.
Thank you for response. Waiting for Scrambler
Scrambler vs X440, now that's a comparison that'll change my entire thought process on upgrading from my 4-year-old Yamaha FZS V2.0
Its actually not a direct comparo.
Actually, the X440 will go up against the Speed. Not the Scram
@@VarunPainter i'm not a big fan of Speed, it's a great motorcycle but not something I would be wanting to ride, i'm more into wide structured motorcycles like the Scram & the X440
Yes it's not a direct comparo, but if the Scram offers me a considerable upgrade over the Harley, it's worth putting the extra dough.
@@pareshpandey1267 The experience will be different.
Is Triumph still a British company or has it been sold ?
Its still a British company.
very much British. This is the India partnership
Your smile tells us the story that how happy you are after riding it..❤
Oh yeah. He was truly happy. Smile as big as his face :D
I really was.
But why was the king been put down when it’s check mate (intro) 😂😂
Check mate was for pricing!
"Not refined" at 120 kph (74 mph) meaning it vibrates too much at that speed for sustained highway travel? That's super important.
Well it’s just bike to cruise at 90.. so it’s not a bike to push
@@RAXITH_playz
I get that. But is the vibration bad at 70-75? It is a single.
@@browngreen933 well let's see more reviews.. you may get your answer
It isn't the most refined at those speeds correct.
"The price point at which the speed 400 comes in at there will be a bunch of new riders that will probably look at this as their very first motorcycle" Sure 🤣🤣. Who starts with a 400 cc motorcycle in India? These people are so out of touch with the reality.
Haven't you answered the question yourself?
You should look the motorbike riders outside India. It's just that India is a price sensitive market and wanting more mileage and value for money with lower cc bikes.
Me who has never bought a bike or ridden one
Yes this bike is mine! 🤣 This is so me yaar but yeah I'm gonna reconsider imma try buying TVS Ronin
I started with cb 350cc
Why not if its simple to ride? People buy the Classic 350 as their first bike. Its still a 350 right? Got a reality check? :D
This Speed 400 expected to come to Indonesia around january 2024. But, it would be not affordable for indonesian. Still, this is a premium bike for average indonesian.
What is the expected price there?
You said 16k service interval??
Yup, you heard right
Yes
That's right. That or 1 year.
That's right. But its pretty standard for Triumph.
What a review man, superb Varun. Kudos man
Woohooooo!
Thank you :)
sir will it be serviced at bajaj service center or at triumph.
Triumph centres operated by Bajaj
You have you answer :)
Now RE. Fans will come and say RE is RE
We gotta make some popcorn
0:16 I never thought this bike was liquid cooled owing to the cooling fins, so I was surprised when Varun said it and then researched it and it's true! Just makes this bike even more value for money for me now!
The fins are also aesthetic. Modern-retro right? ;)
Me in my mind “Dekho woh aagya”
hahahhaha
Bwahaha
Thanks for the review.
Any time :)
Missing the PD DNA from bike reviews , feels like this has become no different from other reviews
We got a limited time with the motorcycle. Having said that, we do have a bunch of special videos in the pipeline. Stay tuned.
@@powerdriftofficial Appreciate the effort to reply back to this , however the missing is not pinpointed on this video, its in general. There was life when the bike reviews were presented rather than just sticking on to the company provided details , that was what separated PD from others. The urge to watch ur videos is missing .
P.S : my personal opinion, subjective to change😇😇
People are praising this motorcycle so much, that I am having second thoughts on my dream of buying a GS 310
We suggest a quick test ride. Plus a GS leans more towards the adventure side of things.
I hate the speedo
Why not an analogue taco and digital speedo
Why Triamph!!
It's a retro morden motorcycle, look at it that way which makes will make sense
@@MunmunDasgupta-v7o you're literally commenting from your mom's account
Why would someone take you seriously
Still I will explain, a biker/ enthusiastic driver cares more about engine RPM than speed.
No. They addressed that issue. Around 2.8 in Mumbai, 2.9 in Banglore.
They have made corrections.

it doesn't wanna do 120 130, but can do 80 easily.
what about 90 100 110. should I not drive at that speed?
what about seat, what if I want to tour..., what do you mean by buzz? is it a bothersome buzz? so should I not do 100-120 on highway on this? this is such a poor review of a bike

Purple
I love how this review came out, thou others said its easy riding 120-130, 80kmph no vibs thing is something that again every other person is saying. Loved how varun himself is replying to all comments, still a ques varun, what is that thing that limits you to cruise at say, 130kmph.
Ps- i booked the bike before launch and definitely buying it. I have ride Dominar first edition, duke 390 and currently riding hness350
Hey hey! We are replying too :D
Always here for you my man. Bearable is actually 140kmph. But comfortable is 120.
The presenter is really good.. after a while I am viewing powerdeift reviews and this presenter really knows his stuffs .
Sorry to say but after Sarg left , things were not looking good to be frank

@@VarunPainter thank you will be waiting for this one from you 🙏
I feel like the duke 390 finally has some competition, this is purely going by the power figures & the pricing. And it's about damn time!
Its actually the Domi, not the Duke. But yeah, that price is smashing. Can give everyone a run for their money
Should be in the same category with the cars
For bikes being 150cc and above
The population, road education, riding and driving etiquettes come into factor here.
My team has conveyed what I really wanted to say :)
I've seen some videos on yt where people are showing us the on-road price of 3.30 L ,
1 lakh additional rupees!!
DAMN

Hunter owners are crying in a corner....Maybe that is why the rivers are overflowing 😅
Not a direct comparison because of the pricing.
Hunter is still 90K to 1L cheaper on road than this Motorcycle that is a very big gap in mass two wheeler market, Like PD said its not a direct comparison
I was waiting for Yamaha MT-03 but after seeing this beauty and its price I am now eager to own one 😍
The Yammie will be quite expensive too.
Broo....even the ronin is smooth at 85kmph 🙄....what'swrong with this
The Ronin does not have long legs like this one. It might be smooth but it struggles beyond 100kmph
Like my team mentioned, the Ronin feels great but it lacks that top end punch. Heck, it will start to struggle later
