At last! a non Lightroom editing video as most do here on RUclips! ... Great video and skin tones, I've been using C1 for years now for my commercial and lifestyle work it just works so much better with Raw files and saves a lot of time too! loving the short colour grading in BTS also, you do such a fine job Irene 👍
In the edited version the surroundings/water always looks so cold for my taste. I know you don't want to look kitschy, but the raw image has such a nice tone, especially in this paradise setting.

I really like the contrasting cool background/warm subject. And I do notice that Adobe really flattens skin tones while DPP and Capture One give much more "colour variability" to skin tones. This is why when reviewers compare image quality of cameras but then use Adobe to process the raw files, it says less about the camera and more about the raw processor. I got the R6 II in December and it's the best camera I've ever used in 18 years of photography.
I use photoshop and camera raw to process my raw files and I'm able to bring out so much contrast and beautiful tones. I really like those programs for myself.
If you haven't noticed, then both the eye and the hair got the green level, another thing, I understand that they are your supporters, that doesn't mean you should get dirty on Adobe, they are certainly no less great than them. You are wonderful and an excellent photographer, but next time try to be more objective
Lol it’s nothing personal, I mostly use Adobe products( still edit my images 80% in photoshop, videos in premiere) but they are the worst at processing the raw files, I stand firmly on that.
@@IreneRudnyk for outdoors I shoot AWB but flash indoors I shoot 5600K but still do M2 B2. You turned me onto DPP and I tinkered to get that color hue dialed in. Worth a shot to try
I lived in Costa Rica briefly and I've always wanted to go back and take photos with a model. Such a beautiful country. I also agree about Capture One, I switched over quite a while ago. I actually think the difference between Capture One and Adobe is even bigger when you are processing things other than Canon files. Sony and Fuji images are leaps and bounds better in Capture One where I feel like Canon files are just a little bit better. I actually think Sony files look better than Canon files and are easier to edit if you use Capture One. I think most of the past nonsense about Sony having bad colors was because of Adobe. Capture One is officially supported by Sony and Sony has worked with them to tune the color profiles.

But then I ended up switching back to Sony after I started working with Capture One because I realized the Sony files edited better in Capture One and I liked the Sony ecosystem better. I always recommend Capture One to new photographers because they will get good results no matter what camera brand they start with.

The real advantage of Capture One is that you pay the one off price and the software is then yours, or atleast until they decide the ' improve ' the software, when it becomes obsolete. Much better than this subscription stuff with Adobe. I really do wish that photographers would get together and let Adobe and others know that the ' subscription ' model is not acceptable. As for the Canon software, no surprises that it was superior. A long time ago we had the same issues with the Nikon RAW files as they were not decoded correctly in anything but Nikon NX. The problem with manufacturers editing software is that the workflow is not that great and they are usually very resource hungry compared to Adobe. Good shoot BTW.
Costa Rica is full of beautiful places and locations. Wait to Know Manuel Antonio Beach or caribbean zone. Its just a dream. Its much much to know...but the perfect shooting would be in Cerro Pelado in Guanacaste.

Hi Irene, that question at 6:01 is hard to answer over YT without examining the raw myself. From personal experience, I can say, you can squeeze out the most details in the shadows and protect the highlights best with Canon’s DPP (what is kinda logical), but for professional purposes it is unusable and 100 x too slow. Capture One retains the colours in the shadows better as Adobe if you rise the shadows but that’s already at matter of taste. I ditched C1, because I’m waiting since more than half a decade the .afphoto format becomes supported like it supports .tiff and .psd (.psb is also not recognised by C1) for getting rid of Adobe and subscription model completely. - The only DAM seeing all (!!!) files in a folder is Bridge and for that unfortunately the only truly professional solution is the combination Bridge + ACR, after processing the raw, you can use the retouching tool of your choice, Ps, Affinity Photo, Gimp, whatever. Phocus has some awesome features, but it offers full functionality only to Hasselblad raw files, it’s even not possible to rise shadows or protect highlights of e.g. CR3 or NEF files.
You are holding that lens without even flexing a tendon. It feels light coz of the way you are carrying. And beautiful shoot as always! The jewellery and hair looks so good

I have the R6, in camera I modified the WB to M2 B2, took the hue out of the green/yellow on the skin. Maybe try that.

Yes! When I briefly shot Sony and Fuji is was extremely painful to process those raws with Adobe, that’s when I first tried Capture One.

What's wrong with Canon Colors? I thought canon performs well with skin tones even in greeneries but it looks as bad as Sony.
Nothing wrong with Canon, Adobe is not great at processing raws of other brands as well, it’s even worse with Sony or a Fuji
