  • With over a quarter million round balers manufactured, New Holland knows hay baling. This video covers the model lineup and $$ savings with the densest bales in the industry (less net wrap used, move less bales). Combined with EdgeWrap™ net wrapping, you make weather-resistant bales that reduce storage losses too.
Also shown in this video are optional cutter options, sweep pick up technology, belt design and warranty, front load twine and net.

New holland balers make a softer core too. My horse customers prefer new holland bales to Deere, or hesston. Cattle customers report their cattle won't eat the core of a Deere bale, but eat all of my New Holland bales. Also, new holland balers retain more leaves in alfalfa because the belts are less aggressive than diamond tread belts. That lets me start baling earlier in the day and cover more acres in a day. New holland balers are also built heavier, so chain, sprockets and bearings last longer. With the exception of the pickup and an over sized bale bending a roll- I've never had a bearing failure issue with my 780. This is all coming from a guy who bleeds Deere green.

What ever happened to making bales that breath, or cure?? I have been away from making bales for 20 years, back then I made rounds that held there shape, but no more as there was less leaf loss and the bale could breath???? But I can see dense bales for baleage!!!!

I have only ever used New holland or Case IH (New holland built) balers. The last baler I bought is trash (RB455 Case IH with the crop cutter). I would trade that piece of junk for a comparable BR7060 any day. The reliabily is not there, the older balers are built better, and will last longer, and don't break down every time you need to use them. I will be looking at different brands, if I want to get a newer baler in the future, or look for a low bale count BR740 or BR7060.

My friend bought a brand new one and didn't get 40 bails done and it broke a 60 series chain. It tore up the chain shield. New Holland wasn't any help at all on the phone. They gave out the wrong information which caused two trips to tractor supply. The machine also had the wrong size carriage bolts for the front tire adjustable brackets. My buddy bought a new tractor, bailer, mower and rake, and they didn't even offer to come out for the repair. He bought these units all together and had them delivered within a week or so.

the pickup bolts on mine all broke within the first 100 bales, new holland paid for the repair, you buddy should raise hell as the warrenty would cover that, junk baler tho, ive got 12000 bales on mine now and its falling apart i have an old 688 1999 build, its 10X the quality but with 55000 bales its days are numbered

That sounds like my field on a dry year, less bales per acre, less bales to haul home, less bales to store, yup that’s my place alright

Front load net wrap is a joke and a pain in the ass to have to lug rolls of net to and load it.

AGREE! Worst Baler Ever Made! Who ever designed these should jump off a bridge or be made to clean out the trouble spots that clog with hay constantly!
