    I don’t even know why we are so concerned with 1000rpm PTO, and sub 100hp tractors people.
    With the weight and torque requirements of this baler, I wouldn’t even consider starting it up on a tractor under 120hp.
    Our dealership was one of the ones in Australia that ran one of these balers in the development stage pre production. We were impressed at the extra density these pack into the bales size for size over the previous RB series.
    There are many impressive features on these machines.
    That being said once more are released and sold into the market, that will be testament to their reliability.
    The development machine has been sold to a local contractor and he has completed one season with it so far without issue.
    If you are not a contractor or high volume haymaker then this is not really a machine for you to consider, unless you have plenty of coin to throw around.
    Horses for courses in this case!

    Not sure why most people in the comments think u need 540 pto every high capacity piece of farm equipment runs a 1000 pto if u want 540 im sure the economy baler model will suit u guys perfectly

    • @MessicksEquip

      When your standing beside the baler and can see its size and weight, you can figure pretty quickly that its too big for any tractor that's 540 only.

      @ritch yup that works with older model lighter built new Hollands works great actually but if u want to take capacity to the next level this baler does that its just the way it’s geared spinning a 1000 pto doesn’t take more power its the same but it just spins faster but the rest of the baler will be geared down a bit your shoving more feed through it quicker to increase capacity thus needing things to spin faster lol

    Wow That is a monster 1000 lb bales. But the bigger the equipment the bigger the tractor the more compaction on the ground. when will it stop?? Plus the $$$$$ wow $100,000 baler? It's hay, we used to put it in loose. Just saying..

    • @brettknoss486
      @brettknoss486 4 месяца назад

      Wider tires mean new balers and teactors exert less compaction.

      Bales have existed for 100 years. It would take a lot of loose hay to feed 1400 cows.

    Why don't you build a baler without a computer

    • @brenttonks4249
      @brenttonks4249 Год назад +1

      They did in the early days but I don’t see many Fred Flintstone tractors around anymore either.
      I understand that not everyone wants a computer, but all the earlier mechanical machines I’ve worked on have a lot of moving parts to wear out and get sloppy in their movement affecting timing.
      A few sensors and an actuator is all that’s needed now days!

    As The name suggests
    “PRO BELT”
    Designed and build for the professional hay maker not for the guy doing 500-1000 bales a year.
    That market is for the RB150 & RB180 or other NH numbering equivalent in the American market

It's hard enough to sell equipment in this economy..why limit yourself like this New Holland...again Regrettable Decision. I'll call it now...New for 2025 New Holland Roll Belt 450-460 now with 540 PTO capability....😆😆

      I dont think you really understand the sort of baler this is. This isnt a hobby farmer baler. This is for the big time custom guys that already have the 200 horse tractor that dosnt even have a 540.

    • @BillTheTractorMan
      @BillTheTractorMan Год назад +3

      This is a pretty big baler for a round baler. The kind of tractors running this size baler would frequently be able to switch between 1000 & 540. Unless you are looking at older tractors. Obviously this level of baler is not for me, I'm running sub-70hp tractors, and also older tractors. The guys running strictly 540 to tend not to be making these bigger round bales and not needed the larger capability of being a crop cutter and focusing on haylage. The 540 baler I'm looking at would be making 4x5 bales of hay or corn fodder, maybe straw. I'm not touching haylage either. This baler is not even on my radar and New Holland knows this, that why they have the smaller, lighter, 540 balers.

  • @davidthorne2129

    Very good improvements to the baler. BUT. 1000 RPM ONLY IS THE MOST STUPID IDEA FROM NH EVER!!!!!!!!! I’m a contractor in Australia. I run Krone combipak balers as most of my work is wrapped silage. Everybody has missed the point that modern tractors over 100 hp also have 750 pto as well. That means you run your tractor at around 1600 rpm. My tractors use so much less fuel it’s not funny. Would NEVRR buy round baler 1000 only.
