Sailor Pens Rei 1 Series - An overview

An overview of the Sailor Pens Rei 1 series. An oversize pen, smaller than the King of Pen but significantly larger than the large 1911.
The "Rei" series celebrates 3 different traditions of working with Urushi Lacquer. This first series comes from the Wajima area on the west coast of Japan. Three techniques are used: Akebononuri, Tsugaru-nuri and Tamenuri.
We look at the common features of the pens, and the lacquerwork.

Beautiful pens. I have always been enamoured with urushi design and techniques.
I like that it is a new model. It is certainly worth investigating further.

How big the nibs are? #6 or #8 ? Smaler than KOP or the same?
