12:10 to answer you, we go out late like after the Isha prayer which is around 8pm and the peak is around midnight. Also I have to mention that mostly we go out to sights like beach front and albalad on weekends, it's tough to work until 5 or 6pm and mind many of your personal and family obligations and have time to spare to go out to places like these.
That's certainly something I somehow didn't think of on that first Saturday in Saudi Arabia. I guess to me I also see a walk along by the sea as a great activity the day before the working week starts again!
@@I8wonder not even up to April, I would suggest Dec, Jan, and Feb only the time is heavenly in Jeddah ❤️❤️❤️ In mid March the weather starts warming up and the humidity spike....
So enjoyed everything about Jeddah. The food looked absolutely delicious, the trouble was it wasn’t me eating it! Everywhere so clean, fantastic place and look forward to seeing more.
In Saudi we really go out and about at 5 PM and up lol.. bc its really hot especially in jeddah its gets humid too, so in the morning to afternoon hours we stay indoors and people are in schools/University or work, gyms etc just anything inside lol but I'll say the best time to visit the historical area in Jeddah is in Ramadan at night 🌙, its very crowded and fulled with bazaars, festivals and LOTS of great food for 30 days. Ramadan every year is changing but from now till 2030 it would be in these months (jan- march) in 2025 it start march 1st
Fantastic video. This is actually the very 1st video I've seen of any place in Saudi Arabia, and Jeddah looked amazing, even with so few people outside, I was very impressed. The food you showed, looked quite good too. Thanks for posting this video! Keep smiling 👍🙂🇨🇦
Welcome to Saudi Arabia. We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation for conveying a beautiful image of this country, its culture and society. I wish I could meet you to offer you Saudi hospitality and generosity, starting with dates and Saudi coffee, and even a whole lamb feast, in appreciation and respect for you being a dear guest in our country. Best regards 🇸🇦
Thank you. It was amazing to visit Saudi Arabia and I am considering coming back early next year to film more as long as my current videos there have enough interest.
"Our week starts on Sunday." Literally in ᶜArabic Yawmu-lAḥadi = the day of the One, Day One, the first day. From Sunday to Thursday, are counted days except Yawmu-lJumuᶜati / Yawmu-lJumᶜati = Friday and Yawmu-sSabti = Saturday.
Many tourists come to Saudi Arabia to see heritage villages and some archaeological sites and landmarks, but if you ask them why Saudis believe in Islam, they will not be able to answer. Tourism is a cultural experience that involves deepening the understanding of the reasons for faith and the reasons for difference, I think reading the book Al-Tawhid by Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab will help many people understand the reason for the establishment of the first Saudi state.
For me, my trip to Saudi Arabia was about more than just tourism. As someone who has traveled to many Islamic countries and has a deep respect for Islam, I came to here to learn more and to experience. For that reason, my visit to the holy city of Madinah was the central point and most important part of my trip (that will be covered in my next video). Reading Al-Tawhid by Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab could indeed be interesting for me. I hope you enjoy my videos in Saudi Arabia, and I hope they can play their own small part in showing the good of Saudi Arabia's culture and of Islam.
We also did al-balad end of november and sat exactly at the same spot in Roshan cafe. The cafe is an Egyptian and the chairs hangings are common Egyptian decoration. He served us hibiscus flower juice, it was amazing. al-Balad is a 3 year heritage restoration project. We plan to go back again, so much more to experience. My heart is in Madinah though.
I never knew that about the chairs, it just seemed a strange an fun thing at the time. My next video releasing very soon will cover my amazing visit to Madinah.
Thanks Chris 👍great. Do enjoy Saudia and other Muslim countries thanks for coming. ❤ but please one request. Keep the beauty of family life and connection with our Creator, as this is what west lost and is in lot of stress & pain today despite so much materialistic progress. Let’s take and learn good things from eachother & nurture them together. Salaam( Peace) 😊
(albalad ) It is beautiful, but after the afternoon it is crowded with people and at night as well, not noon. I also advise you to visit Shebara Island in the Red Sea. It is amazing and distinctive. You will be amazed when you see it, and the historic city of Al-Ula. Riyadh has the wonderful and largest Riyadh season in the world. It is amazing.
@Gh_09- Thanks for the tips. I did visit Al-Ula after Madinah, it was amazing and there'll be a video coming from there in a couple of weeks time. I also visited Riyadh although I couldn't finish making a video there sadly. It's very safe to say though that I will need to return to Saudi Arabia before too long.
@@ChrisKermis Of course, Riyadh deserves days to be able to visit it properly. Also, the Riyadh Metro was opened on December 1 to facilitate the transportation process for tourists.

That encapsulates the boardwalk, several playgrounds and outdoor gyms, several sculptures, the art promenade, restaurants and cafes, Al-Nawras walkway (goes over the road, spectacular views of the sunset from up there). It's quite a stretch so maybe do a bit of research, with pictures and videos, to narrow down what you want to see. I can't stress this enough, timing is everything. The time of year you visit, the day of the week, the time of the day you go out, and whether there's any events or celebrations going on makes or breaks your visit to certain locations in Jeddah. I hope this helps and you're welcome in Jeddah whenever you come back.

Hey Chris We all avoid the sun during the daylight hours even in winter time but winter is the best time to go out in the evening and temp varies from us and the rest of the GCC.
I can certainly understand why. When you're making videos it's good to be out in daylight though. At least it wasn't as hot in Saudi Arabia as it was in a couple of the places I visited after!
Nice Chris. Yeah you don’t find many people at Cornish - one in hot weather , secondly as family life is very busy in Muslim countries. Weekends are usually spent seeing siblings families, grand parents but when weather is better, mostly big families & friends come out together.
I suspect the reason you didn't find many people after sunset is because of prayer times, at sunset you have a prayer and about an hour later you have the 'Isha' prayer.. you'll probably find more people after Isha
I think that's the case for around that time but also true as some others said that people come out later in the evening still, and not really on certain days.

Fish aren't the cheapest options in KSA, certainly, especially in places like Al Balad, as it's considered to be a touristy area. Unfortunately, you didn't try Sayadia rice, hommar sauce, and a lot of tahina with your fish. Either way, glad you enjoyed your visit. 🙏
