Oh boy I love those videos with really loud dubstep intros and really small voice just to piss viewers off. It works even better when the video starts with small voice, then intro comes in so people would increase the volume for the already loud and garbage-ass overused music.
Myth #5 at 5:48 "Investing in city nodes" will reduce the amity game Attributes (interest level and favor) needed in conversations. I went to an NPC in Altinova 25 times before investing energy in the city (I counted how many times, for science, as well as wanting the amity for that NPC). The spread for interest level never went lower than 28 and was as high as 42. I then invested in the node over the next few days and got it too level 10 for that city. I did the same NPC 102 times (yes I counted it), and the interest level needed was as low as 14 and never went over 34. @MorrolanTV I know this is a small test sample and that RNG could still have just been messing with me but if you could test this and share with us your findings I would be very interested. And thanks for the video, I always enjoy your youtube content.
The pre-order territory rumor is actually based on a Q & A that was done with Daum prior to Valencia's release. In that Q & A they stated that pre-orders will be territory dependent.
I've definitely gotten a Hard Black Crystal while manually gathering water, but this was before they added auto-bottling and shoveling. Small drop rate either way it seems.
Did you get it from bottling river water or from digging for water? Digging can give shards, but I haven't seen or heard of bottling river water giving shards.
In this video, things I've been saying in channel chat and correcting since day 1, but idiots will believe anything and everything they want if they think it benefits them. The worst one imo is the idea that the luck stat effects gathering and fishing. Lucky tools do, the luck stat does not. This has been proven many times and the stat itself says only loot drop chance, not the loot itself.
To further evaluate, luck increases your chance to receive loot period, not the chance to obtain rarer items. So luck couldn't possibly effect gathering or fishing, because you are guaranteed loot every time. Mobs on the other hand have a chance of dropping nothing and luck increases their chance to drop anything on death.
Hard and sharp from water gathering is very true and very frustrating while afk gathering. Reason being it stops your afk water gathering when you get one! I think that maybe three years ago the drop rate was more rare or maybe everybody life skills were low. I do believe that your life skill level at least now effects your hard and sharp chances as i get them really frequently when I gather.
I also got many times hard black crystal shard from water gathering. It's not good tho cause when you get it your character cheers and stops the water gathering.
Wonder if this rumor started because i streamed on NA & KR PRI off zero stacks & DUO off 1 stack? If in anyway related they forgot the part where i failed multipul times prior. 3. Sealed Earring/Ring Doesn't Need Failstacks 3:57
Have question about investing in cities. I know when you released the guide, investing only helped on item drops on node areas, but when reading the tool tip while investing in city nodes it reads something to the effect of making it easier to talk to people. Have they updated node investment since you released this video or does investing in cities meaningless?
I got a Hard Black Crystal from cutting a tree with an axe & gathering from a bush & Fishing & i think you can get it from hunting & mining but i ant sure
I got a hard Shard from water gathering few days ago... but it only happened once in 2000 bottles gathered... so i wouldn't count on getting shards from gathering it is way too rare
The hidden bonus to the fabled Dande. Iv often seen it reported and suggested that Dande takes more ap from mainhand than blue and likewise blue>green. I was wondering if anyone knew for sure whats up with the weirdness of these weapons. Iv seen someone do a clear test(RUS) between a TET blue and TRI dande. The Dande did way more dmg on SOME attacks. Iv done my own tests comparing a +12 dande and DUO dande to a TRI green. Both did about 80-100hp less dmg than there TRI green counterpart. I cant make heads or tails of this crap at all.
Are you still playing this? And are you going to make more vids? I'm considering getting the game. I'll admit I tend to shove a lot of money in a game to get started, but I'm not sure what would be the smartest way to spend my money. I would love a bit of guidance of some sort on that.
Yeah, I have a guide on upgrading gear coming soon. As far as the best way to spend money, I'd say a few pets is the first priority so that they'll pick up loot for you. Beyond that, recent cash shop changes have made it so that you can convert about $150 a week into in-game currency, though not at a very good rate, so it really depends on how much you want to drop.
Thank you for your reply. I certainly won't be spending $150 a week on the game, but perhaps a month give or take depending on if there is anything that interests me in the shop. I've seen a million rants about the game being pay to win and have heard people claim they quit because of it. This game has been going for quite awhile and I'd like to lvl and become 'competitive' as quickly as I can. I am disabled and will be able to sink as many hours into the game each day as I can stay awake, lol. Getting started though, from what I can tell, can be kind of tricky. The game, I hear, is not very noob friendly, and I'd just like a little.... starter help. There are lots of guides and once I decide on a class, which I'll have to research extensively, I will definitely study hard and learn what I can. But there is one guide I can not begin to find. People HATE p2w players so finding this sort of guide is difficult. So here is what I'd love your help with. Let's say that at around the end of this month I'm going to start playing and I am willing to immediately put between $200 and $250 into the game depending on the 'importance' of what I can purchase. What items would you recommend that a new player get. A video isn't necessarily required for this by any means, but I would love to hear the thoughts of someone that knows what they are talking about and whether they agree with my decision to spend so much initially at least won't unleash their rage at me. What items, perhaps in order of 'importance' would you recommend I get?
Rasmus Wolf and now we sit here waiting for the p2w to come... all ive seen so far are kids crying p2w when they cant play with the top 1% wichvthey wont reach either way...
the whole node energy thing I find quite annoying. why allow you to invest energy into a node if it is not going to do anything for the player? It doesn't indicate to you in any way that what your doing is a complete waste
Can you please explain 1 more time about experience If I have 2 buffs, 1 for 50% and 1 more for 50% I will have 150% and 50 of 50 or something like this?
Does fishing count as a loot drop? Meaning, if you have invested in the node where you fish, do you improve your chance to get better fish? I think nope, but I'd rather have someone more knowledgeable comment! Best of luck in your future endeavors!
Gree, blue, yellow accessories have different rates but not gear. Just from what I have gathered from building failstacks with green accessories/enhancing blue and what my guild has done. It is all RNG though, guild mate quit and TET a witch earring with 0 failstacks so.......RNG is king.
Actually not common sense, I heard multiple different story's. Some people say it changes by every grade. Currently i believe only S rank has influence on drop rates. Rest is just do more damage or receive less damage. But this myth is extremely hard to test because its all RNG.
I think the water gathering SS is fake, the background for the water item is really dark, making me think they overlapped some items in photoshop or something.
Ur videos r greats. If i can add one tip is to use sometype of visual forms to drive the eye of the viewers to the item or topic in question. And some other adjusts, fell free to ask me João Pedro Mechelli on facebook. But i say all just rrly whanting to help. because your guides are awesomes and well explained.
Nice video, straight to the point, no stupid intro, no loud music.
agreed

On Xbox you do get hards and sharps from water gathering. js
Ps4 too

The river in Calpheon using empty water bottles. Haven't done it since the update since I have a stockpile and shoveling gives water now too.
Same here, before the auto bottling update, got one hard black stone in balenos river near Velia
Yeh before the auto water gathering patch my guildies swear they got a shard from bottling
all gathering has a chance of dropping them, shoveling has a higher chance

You make great guides! the quality is top notch and the format and style of the video is great...please make more guides!

Thank you for making these they are very informative for new players like me.
this was a really cool vid. I personality hate the lack of basic info in the game,it add nothing but annoyance and a bad feeling.
Excellent Video, thanks for putting the work into this.
Your videos are so helpful and interesting and well done. Thanks for sharing with us!
I also got many times hard black crystal shard from water gathering. It's not good tho cause when you get it your character cheers and stops the water gathering.
They changed it about a year after I made this video
Wonder if this rumor started because i streamed on NA & KR PRI off zero stacks & DUO off 1 stack? If in anyway related they forgot the part where i failed multipul times prior.

great video these are some myths about BDO that needed to be busted
Your videos are great and straight forward :) Love it.
I got a Hard Black Crystal from cutting a tree with an axe & gathering from a bush & Fishing & i think you can get it from hunting & mining but i ant sure
I got a hard Shard from water gathering few days ago... but it only happened once in 2000 bottles gathered... so i wouldn't count on getting shards from gathering it is way too rare
i've experienced the one getting shard while gathering sea water.
Great video, thank you for your work.
Water Gathering can get you Hards.. but really really really rare
excellent video thank you very much for the information
Where do we get shards from than? I got one from wood gathering

I don't think p2w means what a lot of you think it means.
I did get 2 sharps from water gathering 400 water. I think the chances are just really low.

you just add everything together. 100 + 150 = 150. Another 50 would be 200.
Great video. I love it.
When I preordered a item it said "Mediah Territory"
Explained in the video. It's so you can't use pre-orders to transfer silver between towns
thanks for this video!
thanks for the awesome vid!
Hey Morrolan! This was a great video, keep up the good content! I will click on these ads!
Does fishing count as a loot drop? Meaning, if you have invested in the node where you fish, do you improve your chance to get better fish? I think nope, but I'd rather have someone more knowledgeable comment!

Here is a myth. Green, blue, and yellow items have different enchanting success rate.
This is a good one, although most likely impossible to test unless someone actually peaks into the game's code.
+Morrolan TV not impossible to test but *very* expensive I imagine! :)
Green blue yellow no, reblath vs Grunil or Yuria vs Liverto? yes.
Gree, blue, yellow accessories have different rates but not gear. Just from what I have gathered from building failstacks with green accessories/enhancing blue and what my guild has done. It is all RNG though, guild mate quit and TET a witch earring with 0 failstacks so.......RNG is king.
reblath has high success rate than liverto
Please test myth of loot drops with different level knowledge (S, A+, A, B, C) etc.
That's a common sense...
This isn't a myth, it's a proven fact that S rank increases drop chance, A increased damage, B increases defence against the mob, and C does nothing.
+KillZacular To correct one thing C shows the % hp
Actually not common sense, I heard multiple different story's. Some people say it changes by every grade. Currently i believe only S rank has influence on drop rates. Rest is just do more damage or receive less damage. But this myth is extremely hard to test because its all RNG.
great video. this helps me a lot XD
I think the water gathering SS is fake, the background for the water item is really dark, making me think they overlapped some items in photoshop or something.
u dont have to overlap u can just cut the icons out from another picture dude and put it there, with decent photoshop skills u wont notice..
This is so interesting holy shit
Good vid.
i have 1 myth why you quit the game?
Nice video
Can you confirm that all information is STILL true in 2018?
you actually can get hards/sharps from water gathering now, although it's still quite bad. Everything else is still a myth
You actually can get hards/sharps from water gathering now. Hue.
actually true, I'm gonna have to make a new version!
Ur videos r greats. If i can add one tip is to use sometype of visual forms to drive the eye of the viewers to the item or topic in question. 7:09 it's true But low rate I got it today And just buying Some more empty botol to get it XD but nah..
Omg 4:07 i didnt know that is true O.o ?
Dylan Flemming cause its not
myth #1: the Game is P2W - Myth now confirmed.
Game is way to repetitive and slow
MYTH #1 BDO isn't p2w
Here is a fact. Black desert switched to P2W
Thanks for the video
