@SpeciLorcana - I have also been on Purple/Steel for a few weeks and have had a pretty decent run. I tried your deck after your tourney win and had a good showing in an enchanted tournament (got second due to a draw for time against a R/A deck), but after hearing some of your thought on HOW you play made my second go round at locals feel so much better and I also went undefeated. I miss your content and I hope you post a lot more of these commentaries!!
Man, I really wish I could have had the same results. I understand the deck. I know what it's supposed to do. I know what I'm supposed to do when I'm playing against other decks but I just couldn't get it to do anything.... Really disappointed.
Zayn always presented himself as the guy who came up with that deck end of chap 3 while it was massively used, especially as a budget deck throughout. On dreamborn you see for example quantumMercury showcasing the deck way before zayn. Anyhow yes it's not a secret but i also don't feel like zayn deserve credit for it
With only playing 1 spellbook, would there be any consideration for Find em I flatten em since its an inkable source of mass item removal into the sapphire matchups?
I like this - good suggestion. I use it in my brooms deck and will possibly try and find a place for it in this deck when I try it out now that you've mentioned it lol.

Just a few quick ones, im confused about.... as a new-ish Aussie Lorcana player & long time Pokemon TCG guy, playing 1 or 2 of specific cards can be very Neiche & with small draw power in Lorcana, i dont get, why only 2 of Belle? Only 1 Spellbook? I feel like yah never see it, or very rarely per game. Last 1, simple - Reasoning for 3x Tiny Tinks & 4x Big Tink? & not 4-3 line
I've been playing the 1 drop mali in an Amy/Emerald brew for the exact same snake synergy and its been so good! It's vindicating to see a good player making the same conclusion.
what do you think about the song card from Ursula return where you can banish all items ? this would basically counter ramp deck especially when they charge many inks on ?
Congratulations!! Is it an invite only or a small number of players in your area? My area seems to be over 40 to 60 people. Couple ha e 20, but it's pretty much invite only. Keep out of towners out.
If it was anything like last time, it was a small invite only tourney for ~8 people, most of them non-competitive content creators, and a couple competitive ones, essentially gifting the competitive players the set champs rewards in the most effortless set champs tourney you could possibly play in.
@SpeciLorcana yea, we literally have 38 players signed up as of now and play on Saturday. Today, we had 16 people, a lot of people preparing. I'm excited for the next set. No pixelborn, so it'll be harder for many to build decks. I'm excited about that. I miss played today once, too. I'm excited to see what this new deck build does. Hopefully, no one copies.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I played against this deck a few times but wasn't seeing a 100% Win Rate, though. The Ai won 2/6 Games against 2 of my decks. I need to play this deck IRL for a fair assessment, but looks like you swept the competitors! Nice!
Deck is very high skill ceiling where you can really outplay opponents. Equally, that means if you don't play perfectly you are likely to lose! Definitely one which my win rate increased as I got more experienced with it
Hey! Thoughts on playing this exact deck replacing belle / brooms and one small/big tink for 4 small/4 big Robin? I hate robin in top deck against red but the early shift is great. Also don't you feel you lack removal with tinkerbell without GYS? Thanks!
I have never personally been a huge fan of RH package compared with the rest of the community. Of course, it is a great option, but Amethyst has much better 1 drops than RH now & that 8 card package can be used for tech cards instead

love amethyst steel, but i use robin hood and beast too. going against ruby amethyst can sometimes be hard with flynn and all the be prepared, brawl and lady / madusas/ maui sisu. seems ruby amethyst still overall controls late game, which is why i like the aggro use of your one drop little maleficent. both the amethyst pinnocios might also be useful with bounce package, altho they’re uninkable. i don’t use spell book, but do run grab your swords and let the storm rage on. interesting to see Bell in the deck, can be situational . Goats + queens castle are so good. also i noticed no merlin crabs . i do like benja, lot of folks tell me to use aladdin tho because sapphire, also avalanche deserves a spot to take out queen castle or locations

@@Churmander So it's basically both, you adapt your plan depending on your opponent, it's very similar to RA. Essentially if against Bucky you play mid range, you draw as much as you can until you can grab your sword or tinkerbel, same with RA. it doesn't mean you can't play maleficent turn 1 to take some easy early lore before bouncing back. The aggro line is mainly against ramp decks, where you won't be able to keep the board, and you need to take as much lore as possible before turn 5/6 where they will take back the board 100%
This is so cool to see and makes me tempted to try it. I'm pretty sure my locals are going to be a lot of R/Ame, R/Sap, E/St and St/Sap so I'm not sure what to go with. I have a complete E/St and R/Ame (same one you went against in this video) but now I'm considering your build too haha. It's hard to know which would be right.
Maybe unneeded advice, but AS has a whole lot of different lines and can be quite complicated to play. If you decide you want to run it, just make sure you get a lot of practice with it if you haven’t played it before.
Great video. Love to see budget decks still be able to pull off wins. I tell people all the time. Play what u like, you don't always need to only play a Meta deck, especially if your nit comfortable with it. Really like the lore counter. I might try and add something like that to my gameplay videos

I know it’s a small tournament but you’re such a good “week one” player I think a lot of players don’t put on that mindset and play “behind” the meta Also, this kind of thinking can spike small local tournaments For a large event, I want consistency For a small event, I want to take a risk on a deck or a few cards and hope I run hot 💜🩶
I refused to play one of the meta decks. I'd love to play in a Challenge Event at the start of a new Set as that would be my best chance to win one for sure

Just went 4-0 at league tonight with this deck. Beat three of the big mega decks and one off meta deck. Feels pretty good so far

It's very good into Ruby Sapphire & pretty good into Emerald Steel. Some copies of Smash improve the ES match up

its a set championship, not local tournaments. if you cant beat out of town guests, you dont deserve the championship mat at the location

To record your hand better get a used gopro and a cheap mount that puts it about hand height.
Yeah mate will look into it but not a priority for now. Just going to get better at flashing my hand to the camera

Aladin too slow in an aggro oriented deck, benja better. I agree the 1 cost maleficent is great but im conflicted about robinhood
