I knew Paul Phillips as my best friend's husband. Great guy, hysterically funny and extremely talented and intelligent musician.
Paul's been gone a few years, now, and those of us who knew him miss him sorely.
I just realized.... 2:42 he ended with the lick! Damnnnnn
Wasn't Dave Panichi the guy fired on the "Bus Tapes" i.e., no more fuckin' beards?
Love this chart!!
Yes, Dave was fired then and yet oddly was still on the band over a year after I quit, meaning he never really got fired! Paul Phillips was a great guy to work with!
I went to JW Pepper and Sierra Music to look for this chart. Out of print. Any ideas on where else I can look?
Does anyone know who owns the rights to this footage? I'm working on a documentary titled JAZZ NIGHTS: A CONFIDENTIAL JOURNEY and we would love to use a short clip from this show in the doc. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I taped this off the Disney Chanel in 1984. You might start with them:)
I couldn't said it better! Sadly the "Carnation Plaza" was torn down a few months ago. The amount of talent that played the little stage is overwhelming!! Thanks!!!
Hot band!
The best version of this is on one of Buddy's newer releases (2010?), "Time Out", which features a live recording with a much faster tempo than this one.
Don't tell me Buddy can't groove!
Man, you'd never see entertainment like this at Disney Land anymore. Just some talentless, over-hyped pop stars using autotune. Great video, though!
great song great playing terrible mixing job
