The main two reasons I closed down my big studio across town were: increased cost of renting and conflicts with the landlord (i felt they were not taking good care of us tenants)... If you would like me to make a video talking about the 10 lessons I learned the hard way from building a pro studio let me know
Yes, you are absolutely right, and that's actually the only reason that could motivate anyone to subscribe; he is an excellent demonstrator with a hippie look, even if he doesn't particularly excel in the areas he discusses, he merely skims over them. Like most RUclipsrs dedicated to electronic music, he has absolutely no talent. His tracks uploaded on Bandcamp are an insult to Music in general and make the ears bleed. He doesn't know how to play the piano, isn't familiar with music theory, and generally has only a rudimentary musical knowledge. But thanks to the very generous income from this commercial network and the few sponsors who make the mistake of trusting him, he manages to do nothing all day while being paid a manager's salary. Like most, once again, of the other RUclipsrs. It would be foolish to talk about parasitism; rather, it’s better to mention a certain opportunism and a neo-aristocratic approach. Once again, it is also foolish to blame him rather than someone else since it is the mentality that usually drives almost the entire menagerie of RUclips.
Hi Bo... nice space... hope it is a relaxing and creative space for you... just a suggestion... I have seen a number of your content about midi/sync and audio routeing as well as others... what no RUclipsr does is physically demonstrate piece by piece connection for us lesser mortals and idiots.. I would certainly appreciate a physical demonstration of connection of a medium synth studio with elements that don't need clocking but that connects to both an Mpc one + and a mixer... I would love you forever (as I think would a great many people) ... peace and love from Wales!
BRAVO Bo!!!!.....BIG difference from the ditto fabric ikea Days!!!!... My wife and I Wish You Great Jammin Days...and Excellent Health... BLESS You &Your Family. 🍺🍷
That's quite a place Bo! You can be happy and chill now .... not all music creators out there can afford this. Enjoy the max, don't break anything and have seriously good times !! 🔈
🙂 This is AWESOME Bo‼️ I just recently got the vast majority of my “ancient” gear to communicate with each other and started recording/playing/posting music again. This is after decades of no interest, so am very excited to relearn everything. Thank you for all of your great vids - Grey F♾️l 😌
Love the new studio setup - having seen your progress first going to the outside studio, then building this, then moving into this it’s wonderful that it finally came together. Good idea to have multiple separate ‘zones’ for different types of work as well. Those IK Multimedia ARC studio boxes are amazing - I use one as well in my studio office and it makes a huge difference. This video is missing one very important thing - where is the excessively complex coffee setup for a sip of the coffee?
What a fantastic man-cave. I would get "option-paralysis" trying to keep track of all this but if you've designed it from scratch then you will have this under control.
You have quite a few devices that make nice pleasing sounds to the ears. Congrats to you on constructing a very nice A+++ home recording studio. Rock on man, I like what you create because I heard some of your beats in this video, they were nice and I’m game to hear more, looking forward to hearing them. Make some videos of your music. Cheers!
Nice video. I like hearing the reasoning behind the decisions. I think the word you were looking for (in American English anyway) is "power strip." It's an extension cord with a number of outlets at the end. Not that it matters, but we put the emphasis on the first syllable of pergola. I'm in the process of wiring up a patch bay (building all the cables). There are a lot of decisions to make.
Looks like a really nice setup. Congrats again on the house and having the studio as an extension of the piece of property you own yourself. I bet you're using the studio more often as a result. Greetings from Eskilstuna. 🇸🇪
Congrats on the new studio setup, Bo, looks great. The star of the show is the desk for me, I'm going to have to get a Artist Rise for myself, perfect design.
You have done pretty well for yourself bo.remember what it was like in the early days... (bob eats). Your commitment and persistance are testimonial to your character. Well done.
Glad to see you back and thriving in a home studio! Gives me more hope for future setups, hah! Great use of space and what you got, looking forward to more content =p
Very nice set-up. If you are like me, it will never be finished. But that is how it should be. Your cable management style is like mine also. Make it look nice where you can see it and jam everything else together. Cable management is the only part that is so frustrating for me. Thanks for the tour. I’m sure you will get tons of use out of the studio.
The biggest takeaway I got from this is when you said hardware set ups are not ideal for creative productivity . That they’re better for jamming. I could testify to this as my quest for setting up an ideal hybrid studio has taken over my focus and hence, creativity and output has decreased big time vs when I was writing completely on the DAW
There are so many things to comment in this video I don’t know where to start! But you have TWO Maschine+?XD I also like the fact you have so many areas to just jam and relax. I work part time as an illustrator. And sometime you just forget it’s supposed to be fun drawing. I will definitely see if I can incorporate some demand free areas just for experimenting and relaxing.
I admire the video setup the most. Light’s, camera’s, and audio. I worked in film in the past and them setups can be challenging for one person to do. The cost and design planning alone. My roommate is moving out next month and I’m going to forge a setup that can record my jams. POV without me talking or in the shots. It will be less complex that way. Regardless something permanent focusing on my main table and synth stands. Not looking forward to buying the gear and setup, but the finished results will be inspiring fo this hobby of mine.
Very nice studio. I expected a lot more synths though 😂 I guess you also have a big storage room with nicely stacked synth boxes. Btw do you have Bandcamp or something where you publish music? Would love to hear your work.
I need to read up more about patchbays. This seems like a good solution to my input/output problems since I have a small space and use rackmount line mixers for my synths/samplers.
I recommend the Samson S-Patch Plus. You can switch between normalled, half normalled and through via switches on the front. Only downside is you don’t have much space for labeling.
You're living the dream! For the speakers on your synth stand and video table, are they powered or unpowered? I'm trying to think of what to do for my modular desk where the speakers would not be in a place I could easily reach to click them on and off when I'm using the setup, but I also don't want there to be a loud pop when I turn the system on.
Hi Bo ! What a beautifull new studio, congratulations !!! Just a question : what is the reference of the synth stand you're using for the Polybrute ? and especially the shelf supporting the Solar 42 ? Many thanks !
Pretty cool man..I do everything on a computer and iPad myself but I’m alway thinking about getting synths again but man the software is so good…looks really professional and nice.
Fascinating to see someones studio, congratulations with the results. I'm slowly developing my music knowledge but figuring out how to develop my workspace living in a small apartment is also part of the fun. My instruments have to share space with my other hobby's like building modelkits, but don't worry no dust or airbrush overspray on pristine key boards. 😅 I'm wondering doe you consider to publish music as results of jamming sessions or compose music. I noticed the Osmose and Polar 42F, two great tools for experimental music.
Curious about that pedalboard for synths? I made a video about it here ruclips.net/video/lRFZEVH7Gs0/видео.html
exakt. I was wondering exactly that. Thank you! (p.s. Congrats, you have a GREAT studio 👍)

By all means, please do! Also things like heating, humidity control, power, soundproofing, acoustic treatment... Geek on!
yes pls :)
Home is always the best place for one's studio anyhow sir 🫡

+1 for this 😊
Who tf needs bigger studio outside the house if you can have such a gem in your home 2 meters away! Damn what a place

Man, that must feel great to be done. It’s gorgeous and practical. Well done!
I really appreciate these videos because it helps people see a person's "daily driver" devices/workflow. Thank you!
Looks Beautiful. Living the dream. Gave me some great ideas for my little set up.

Such a cool, spacious and well thought out space. Nice, hope it works well for you. Thanks for the tour.
Wow Bo. This is the ultimate. To think it all started with a humble minilogue and circuit
In my kitchen, with a webcam no less and my 2 year old wanting a sandwich in the middle of shooting a review… she’s 10 now! 💪

Very nice studio Bo - looking forward to lots more great content.

The whole process of creating your studio must've been a joyful ride! Well done!
Joyful. Painful. Stressful.
Sanding wood works a stress relief, just saying for those wood makeshift side rack mounts. 😂 Nice studio.

congrats bo, very interesting and inspiring. especially envious of your youtube studio corner!
Woody! My two favorite swedish meatballs on one plate! I mean in one place! Maybe you should join forces in one RUclips studio someday?
thanks buddy! Come hang out in Halmstad
Love the spaciousness of the setup as a whole - looks like a great place to work. The only thing missing is a nice big comfy sofa, haha.
Wish i could fit one
@@BoBeats you could just lay down on your polybrute 12 ! 😂 it looks comfy and, sure, it's bigger than my sofa 😂
That's what the rest of the house is for ;) No need for furniture when your Studio is your Home lol
I sacrificed my sofa for Gear.. actually the whole living room... so no guests to my house :D

Finally a sensible content creator who is using a midi router. I use two mio10s, and I couldn't function without them
Really cool studio setup! ✨✨
Love the height adjustable desk! I need that when I build out my next room.
Lovely setup, enjoy it and have fun!
The studio looks fantastic and you have space for more gear too 😬
Beautiful stuff Bo.
Took a year to finish your studio, and a year to fully grow your hair back out! Both look great. :)
