Oora is such a good guy, so passionate about his stuff. He really helped me to start making music again and change my approach. Glad to see you two in the same place
I really enjoy viewing visits to studios like this to see how people produce and develop their music. I rebooted my music hobby, studying music now and slowly discovering musical landscapes with synthetic music. And yes, I can see me ending up with tons of gear in years to come.
Seeing Oora's space was so cool! I really love his approach. Really digging this first episode of Summer of Synths! It's my first official Summer of Synths kickoff! Really appreciate all you do Bo! Thanks!
Wow ! I like this guy ! What a pleasant surprise. He's got a lot of really good takes on what he does, both philosophical and technical. Very interesting dude. I also like how he doubles back, occasionally, and corrects his pronunciation of certain words. It demonstrates his observational ability. Thanks for introducing us all, Bo. 🙂
also totally agree about channels to process FX, what you send into an FX (bass into reverb etc) and what comes back, plus the option to make feedback loops has always been a big part of how I've worked.
WOW what a personalized and dedicated space for recording synths & FX 🤩 I've seen tons of studios and nothing quite like this, very cool. Thanks so much for sharing!
Oh this is such a great video! Really interesting to see his setup and workflow. Hopefully we get to see a few more artists studios /workflows.. Thanks so much 😊
Such a great video - so interesting listening to Frederico discuss his process - well done Bo on your interview technique you really got some great content.
I’m quite happy with my setup of five tiny low budget synths and will never have the skills and resources for a setup like Oora’s, but I would absolutely love to have a studio playground like his 😄. Also, he is such a calm and wonderful presence which is probably reflected in his music. Great studio tour 👍
Very well thought out set up... And my favorite approach as well... Hardware for sound creation... Software for recording and editing... To me there is no substitute for hardware that is designed to be hands on... Great job..!
To me he is just a great inspiration. And I feel so lucky to live in a time when artists that are willing to share their process and learnings, their ups and their downs, can do so via a platform like this. His openess and eagerness to share his journey is just second to none. No disrespect to you, Bo 😀, but Oora is in a league of his own. And it all boils down to his humble, honest and funny approach that is truly unique and inspiring. He is also a great «asset» to the «synth youtuber community»; bringing serious artistic reflections and approaches to the table. I really hope that he will continue being «that guy» and keep up the sharing… ❤️
Recently discovered Oora and I love how down to earth he is. And of course, the always everything connected for recording setup is goals. I do like to play my synths on the couch too though and that means it won’t stay connected for long. I don’t really change what I use that often. The where changes, but not really what I use. I’m slow at buying new gear and never sell it. Selling one piece of gear 4 times had me laughing out loud! I’m the same with buying stuff. It ends up in the cart 4 times and then I end up buy something else in the end and use that forever 😂
I’m livening the workflow! I have a question that I have to say first…..I mean no disrespect by asking. I’m truly curious. How do you afford all this crazy expensive gear? Love your videos Oora! Keep it up!
I think he was showing the effects aux set up to create interesting effect dub chains not to clean up muddy effects. Anyhoo nice interesting video. Also, I fixed my sync problems with the Innerclock sync gen 3lx Has multiple din midi sync outs to clock other sequencers perfectly in sync.
I have 2 Emagic Unitor 8 units that provide 2x8 MIDI ins from and 2x8 MIDI outs to my synths so I don't have to use MIDI through on none of them, can also dump back sysex from any of them without disturbing the others... that's 2 units x 8x16 MIDI channels in both directions. I don't have to deal with delay and MIDI latency either...... Worth exploring.
Really cool video. Something wasn't clear though. Audio gets routed to the patchbay, I assume half-normaled. Then the back out gets sent to the interface, and the front can be patched to the mixer, right? Then the mixer has effect sends and all that jazz, but sums to stereo and goes to the interface (or patchbay to interface). So does that means multiple instruments and effects are printed to the stereo mix and the multitrack is all dry signal? If so then it must take a lot of work to try and re-create the performance from the dry signal if you want to work with the multitracks. Unless I'm misunderstanding something. I know he said he sends only one instrument to one effect in the mixer, but that still means everything is printed to the stereo and you can't disentangle, unless the mixer has multitrack.
I get that he put in a ridiculous amount of work for this, and changing things still causes headaches, but the thing that really gets me is, he has such a massive setup and things just work. My setup isn't anywhere near as impressive, and i am always having to find out why something isn't doing what i want. It is my biggest hindrance to getting anything done. Also, that AM1 mixer setup is purely awesome.
We have to ask him but Oora is a big guy and the studio is small, so I recon he can’t have too much stuff laying around or he’ll accidentally smash it with his hulk fists
How does one afford sich a studio? Is there enough money in reverb drenched synthesizer content to afford this? I doubt I could swing rent here, much less fill it with 50k worth of gear. Impressive.
Oora was more content when he had the Vermona Perfourmer. Hes like a mad scientist out of control. Same with Red Means Recording. Hes never been happy since the OP-1. I hear angst in their voices when they talk nowadays. Sometimes more is less.Gear lust destroys creativity.
so who here would love a space like this?!
Who wouldn’t? 😂 it’s heaven
the actual space .. no thanks , various pieces of equipment , Yes Please 😁
Would be nice to talk to music making neighbors, while being in this building
Nobody Bo. Nobody wants this. This is hell.
I'm kidding
Oora is such a good guy, so passionate about his stuff. He really helped me to start making music again and change my approach. Glad to see you two in the same place
thanks for your kind words

Thanks for taking us along on your studio field trip, Bo! Oora's setup and his way of making music are fascinating.
:)

Great start to this years SOS! Great to see Oora's space and hear all the ideas for running the studio. Thanks to you both.

This is excellent Bo, and Oora's setup is awesome, all hands on, very neat and screams play me.
Thank you so much for the tour and will sub to him.
Such a great video - so interesting listening to Frederico discuss his process - well done Bo on your interview technique you really got some great content.
This is one of your best uploads, great interview, great guest, thank you ❤🎧🎛🎹🎧
Very nice video Bo, i liked it alot.
Loved too see more of this content..
Oora is the reason I fell in love with the Vermona PerFourMer; what an inspiration! So happy to see you two just hanging out
Well thay was a treat, thank you.
I've been following both you guys for some time, and this was such an enjoyable episode.
Glad you checked it out!!
The way one setup their signal chain can tell a-lot about their individuality and how their brain works. This is a sick studio, A4 is the Beast! 🕉
Great tour and great choice for summer of synths. :)
Just WOWWW, sorry i am speechless ❤
Great Video! I love his music and Videos. Thank‘s for the look behind.
Been following Oora for ages. Great start to Summer of Synths!!!
thanks for the support
Awesome studio and worth the time, money and effort to setup, due to the complete hands-on workflow! I can relate. =)
this guy is awesome! i loved how my eyes weren't even fast enough to follow his movements while explaining the feedback loop around 5:54

Loved this , inspiring workflow
so amazing and incredibly wonderful
that's a lot of gear but the result is there; really love to listen to oora's piece / jams
Very well thought out set up...
And my favorite approach as well...
Hardware for sound creation...
Software for recording and editing...
To me there is no substitute for hardware that is designed to be hands on...
Great job..!
This is amazing! So many options with a synth setup and I love seeing how one person does it. I’d watch a 100 of these @BoBeats
WOw... Two my favorite RUclipsrs in one video
great video, great studio!
Oora is great! As a beginner I always learn so much from him.
Oora is ab big insperation for me, i love the sounds.
so rad!
Amazing studio ☺♥love sounds ☺♦♦♪
Love your new place 😊
Two of the best in the same place

Gorgeous studio with soul

Wow this is informative. Good video :)
I didn't want this interview to end
Very cool
Some serious cash In that studio! Wow
I’m livening the workflow!
I have a question that I have to say first…..I mean no disrespect by asking. I’m truly curious. How do you afford all this crazy expensive gear?
Love your videos Oora! Keep it up!
Oora is the man!
Ooraaaahhh 🙌🏻🙌🏻

i love studio tours, not gas, not fetishizing, just love to see how people work.
Hi Oora, great studio!! What is the name of the DI box on the wall?
I have 2 Emagic Unitor 8 units that provide 2x8 MIDI ins from and 2x8 MIDI outs to my synths so I don't have to use MIDI through on none of them, can also dump back sysex from any of them without disturbing the others... that's 2 units x 8x16 MIDI channels in both directions. Very tasteful setup and studio. I’ve been trying to get my hands on the Perkons, but haven’t found a used unit yet.
Good luck. That one seems like it’s a machine no one is gonna get rid of.
@@jasonbeatty831 Hahaha thank you for the encouraging words. It’s the absolute truth though
Sorry! Not trying to crush the dream, I’d love one too, maybe if they come out with a V2 like the Syntryx, we might all be able to buy one.
Oora rules! His love of the Vermona Perfourmer is so sincere.
Overlooked synth
@@selfharmonic still want one, I floundered between that and the elektron analog 4, the mark one was on reverb so cheap, I couldn’t not but one.
Really cool video.

Nice setup. I use a presonus 32s with an NSB32.16 so 64 inputs and 32 out.
Beautiful! What multiple di box are tou using?
I get that he put in a ridiculous amount of work for this, and changing things still causes headaches, but the thing that really gets me is, he has such a massive setup and things just work. 👏🏻
What desk / table is used on the right side of the studio?
Whenever oora decides to make bangers, people are going to say how he is now is like genesis before they decided to get famous
Where do fx 3-6 return to? Eventually to the mixing board?
i am seeing more creators wearing this type of mic can you do a review of this product good sould for yourube vids are often overlooked
Curious, what's the purpose of the DI box between the synths and the patchbay?
whats the DI box he has for feeding the synth signals? is it 16 channel DI box?
What are the 8 channel DIs on the wall used here?
Looked like the Art T8 i have, but judging by the price of his other gear… i doubt it
Are the aux sends in stereo? 🤔
Could you ask this guy, how we manage dust ?
I have just a MODX which I saved for a year to buy... Im curious how people afford expensive kit. ..❤
Tours like these are perfect to develop your inner GAS
I hope you see the section where he discusses his lengthy journey before aquiring all this gear
Also: Yes. I need a Super 6 now.
Seeing the price of that mixing desk, the GAS is cured immediately.
Are you the guy @ Kleinanzeigen who sells every week many synths in Friedrichshain? 😂😂
ahah not me :D
Why isn't the artist's name written in the title? And why so far at the bottom of the description?
Thanks for letting me know! I moved the links up. It was just copy/pasted in the wrong order. Good of you to bring it up!
Thought , oh that mixer looks nice , googles mixer .. only $85k .. 😯
interesting, no acaustic treatment
the gas is flowing Bo are you happy? you like doing this to me?
*evil laughter*
I want to know how much tidying he did before letting you see his studio. Looks way too organized!
We have to ask him but Oora is a big guy and the studio is small, so I recon he can’t have too much stuff laying around or he’ll accidentally smash it with his hulk fists
I tidy every end of day, I can't do music if it's too messy
Like this studio considering living Synties as the middle point of creation compared to the DAW Studios beeing boring...
im sure he uses it but it hursts me to see that cirklon just collecting dust
How does one afford sich a studio? Is there enough money in reverb drenched synthesizer content to afford this? I doubt I could swing rent here, much less fill it with 50k worth of gear. Impressive.

Studio is nice and clean, but need acoustic treatment.

Yeah, gear porn
God father????🤣🤣🤣
Someone tell this guy about plural form! I stuggle to hear his English every time I stumble upon him talking 😣
No, I think this is the universe way of teaching you to have patience with non-native english speakers ♥️
Over half an hour, and absolutely NO TIME spent on that epic reel-to-reel in the studio. Sad. 😢
Sorry!!
@@BoBeats - I’m kidding! Well… sort of. 😜🤣 That reel-to-reel looks awesome.
@BoBeats I would like to see the studio of BURG (ollilaboratories), he inspires me so much❤
So much expensive and cool gear and then all go to crapelton that can not even have proper pdc. Shame, wast of gear…
