it's the search for freedom. People think they want happiness, but they desire freedom. It's like wanting love but looking at a physical body to provide it, that is attachment.
The other day, I went to see a patient who is quadriplegic, she lives on a wheelchair for many years, but she is in a very good spirit, it really re-defines what we call suffering, some people overcome a peanut and call it suffering.
Amazing Video, full of information. You know how you would feel when you are eating a pistachio Ice cream sandwich....Well, that's how I felt in this video. Just didn't want the video to end. Thanks a lot & God Bless!
Thank you so much for tour videos...i very much enjoy watching them. I was wondering if b i might possibly get you to take a look at my chart. Ive never been able ro find a chart like mine before and i have a hard time trying to interpret it. 07/25/1980 @ 08:06 pm in greensboro nc...you see, my 12th and 1rst are diplicated with Aquarius encapsulated in my first along with my south node. Sun intercepted in the 7th a long with my north node. Midheaven scorpio conjunct uranus stationed 21 deg. Scorpio...mars saturn jupiter in 8th house. Ruler of the 8th in the 6th ruler of the 6th in the 12moon pluto in the 9th and neptune retrograde in 11th venus quincunx uranus from the 5th and in opposition to neprune. What would my chart ruler be...saturn or uranus? Where could i go to understand my chart better? Thank u for tour time.
They are both the same...the 6th house is a difficult house of enemies, health sorrow, work and debt...there is a suffering element to the 6th house. The reason why the 6th house is upachaya house is because going through the difficulties of the 6th house makes you learn and grow as you get older(upachaya).Going through the painful lessons of the 6th house can make you more mature and help you to overcome 6th house things or come to terms with 6th house significations which makes your life better....that is why the 6th house is upachaya.Furthermore dusthana means "bad place"...the 6th house is a bad place of enemies, conflict and health problems.
I have no planets in angular houses, and the majority of my planets in the 6th, 8th and 12th houses. Its been a big lump to swallow, accepting what is and letting go of the life that is perhaps not for me - any action, and you said, "amount to nothing", and "doesnt take much action". Ryan, How is one to find the positive upon hearing so many shocking truths when they start studying their chart? I also dont particularly see myself as "not" taking action? Thanks you for videos!
Nina Hindmarsh In this situation, pay attention to those areas where you have success and grateful for. Your life experience trumps the symbols on a piece of paper. Also, it's good to consider what compass you use for your valuables. Are you not valuable no matter who you are or what you are doing? Don't judge yourself by worldly values. Value yourself as the bright radiance of life itself.
Excellent explanation about happiness and transcending. The whole system is based on the "pursuit of happiness" like the US constitution says. Right there, we start with the wrong foot.
if there is a rahu dasha (12th house) giving lots of struggle can one look forward to jupiter dasha if jupiter is posited in the 6th house or is that going to be as bad as the rahu dasha? jupiter obviously is with ketu too.
Thank you. I've checked the varga charts. D20 has most planets without rahu and ketu but so does D7 with rahu and ketu. D20 is for spirituality or religion?
Dear Ryan, is it true that when a planet is not in good dignity in the D-9 chart, it also acts weak in the birth chart even if is in its exaltation sign in its birth chart?
It may weaken the planet in regards to one's capacity to feel one is deriving full purpose from that planet. But having a feeling of purpose and being active are different things. Have you found it to be true? If so, have you tested it against multiple charts? That's what you need to do to uncover that principle for your self. The use of planets between varga charts has a lot research that needs to be completed to full verify. Usually, I look at the planet in the birth chart and see what it represents. Then I find the specific varga for that representation and check it there.
It's a search for Jupiter. Love to the self transcends difficulties. It's what we choose every second. Thinking in a Saturnian way would be looking at sorrow and looking down at so-called reality. Reality is love, everything is happening for a reason and to make us free from victim programs. Without the programs. happiness comes when we look at how we hurt ourselves. Rahu/Mars/Jupiter in 12th hse in Leo. Sun in the 8th hse in Aries. Rahu dasha
it's not about attachment. who is there to be attached. its spiritual ego theory of trying to be perfect. its not something one can do. Its being with the self.
you must have planets in your angular houses, because hearing you say "amount to nothing.." really put me off, for i do not. it's akin to hearing "some people say this will cause your death..." once it's out there, it's out there : ( i will keep in mind that this may not be something to share with a client.
Understandable. However, if you can suffer through that comment and continue learning through this channel, you will see that I repeatedly state that we cannot judge a chart based on ONE combination, and that we must look at everything holistically. Also, I may be mistaken, but I think I remember continuing on in this video, and saying that this is something another teacher told me and that I did not see it true in all cases (back to looking at the chart holistically). If I did not say it in this video, it was certainly in another lecture. Thanks for tuning in and sharing feedback. In the end we all amount to nothing any way...No matter how many planets we have in angles!
Ryan Kurczak thank you. In an instance such as this, where ones life experience doesn't match what the rasi chart shows, what step does one take then in astrology to attempt to understand the relationship between experience and the chart ? In my case, my rasi speaks of a truly bad life...6th, 8th, 12th house holds majority of my planets, no planets in angles. I have seen more death and loss than average for my young age, and have experienced deepest grief. Also my life is an endless sacrifice and hard work, being a solo woeking mum...so in many ways i can see that the chart is manifest in my lifr...yet there is so much good and so much divinity all around me. So much I read in vedic astrology appears to have been born from a society which values wealth and royalty and splits people up into a system of clean vs dirty. So...I guess what I'm trying to get at is, there is a dilemma within me regarding this, and I am wondering what truth you have come to within yourself regarding this apparent paradox.
+Nina Hindmarsh Challenges as represented by the 6th, 8th and 12th house, when taken up, amount to a lot. These might be areas where you grow a lot. It may be hard work, but it will sustain you. A princeling may regard a hard working woman who manages her life as 'not amounting to much' in terms of wealth or status. But isn't what she earns often better spend and with more kindness than the wealth of a prince? And isn't what she does more dignified? And might she not be more deeply wise than a soft-cushioned dandy although she might not be able to send soldiers into war to die for her?

I liked the approach to 6,8 and 12 houses! No fear mongering!
!
wow beautiful explanation, I like everytime u remind us spirituality in all ur videos ☺ u are realistic factual no metaphysical
The other day, I went to see a patient who is quadriplegic, she lives on a wheelchair for many years, but she is in a very good spirit, it really re-defines what we call suffering, some people overcome a peanut and call it suffering.
Happiness is a state of mind, there is no such “thing” to be pursued as happiness.
"Make yourself suffer." I like that.

What is the difference between the 6th. house in Dusthana and the 6th. in Upachaya

Hey Ryan, does the upachaya principle extend to the varga charts?
+Gabe L Yes.
Does those planets in angles include rahu and ketu as well?
Mostly. Rahu and Ketu need to consider their lords too.
Gratitude's Ryan!

I don't have planets in Kendra but but trines are strong and my ascendent lord is in mooltrikona so?
What about outer planets in angular houses? Usually these are not very important correct? but if they are near and angle does this do something?
Outer planets are very good about describing self development. On Angles they make those areas of your life more prominent as an area to work on.
at what age do the upachaya houses begin to give better results? thank you!
where do get more knowledge on upachaya priniples ,as i want read more
what does jupiter is in leo in the d9 chart mean if you have scorpio ascendant also
if there is a rahu dasha (12th house) giving lots of struggle can one look forward to jupiter dasha if jupiter is posited in the 6th house or is that going to be as bad as the rahu dasha? jupiter obviously is with ketu too.
Great video.
Good stuff! Thanks
Good one Ryan! What happens if Kendra lords (particularly Mer & Jup) sit in 12th House along with 12th Lord? Real bad?
In what way does moon become a malefic if its waning? How does it act differently? what if it is in the 8th house with Jupiter in good dignity?
Thank you. I've checked the varga charts. D20 has most planets without rahu and ketu but so does D7 with rahu and ketu. D20 is for spirituality or religion?
