Channel Frankenstein 99 pays tribute to Nirvana during a small European tour in August 1991. This tour was marked by new songs that the band presented since 1990, as soon as they would later enter Nevermind. The band opened several shows for Sonic Youth, because of that, the band hired Dave Markey to record a documentary that the following year was released "the years punk broke". the intention of this commemorative date is to share for the fans in general who presented or would like to have participated.

- Most of the set above comes from the band's handwritten setlist.
- The setlist was shared with a flyer of 08/20/91 but it does not match with the recording we have. In the 08/20/91 you can see a different partial setlist near Kurt's foot. It's possible the person also attended the 08/21/91, so we are assuming the setlist belongs to 08/21/91.
- "Smells Like Teen Spirit,""Floyd The Barber," and "Drain You," were the first three songs the band played of a 40-minute set, according to an attendee.
- Kurt screamed his way through "Sliver," according to an attendee.
- At some point, most probably during the soundcheck, Kurt played drums.

I was at that Top Hat show. Mostly to see Sonic Youth to be honest. Accidentally whacked Sinead O Connor with my elbow while jumping around :)

The thing that I like about the Top Hat, even though it sadly never exists anymore, is that The Stranglers and U2 had a notorious concert here, Bono wanted a badge from JJ Burnel, but JJ rejected the badge from Bono, this resulted in U2 later stealing from The Stranglers Rider, mainly Alcohol.

No. They played two Ireland dates during that tour. Sir Henry's was the Cork venue which also no longer exists. The Top Hat was in Dun Loaighre but this recording could be from either
