I've commented on this to friends, because prior to this virus, I've never seen anyone use one who isn't Asian. You've answered that question! ANd your masks are great.
I discovered dust masks and filter inserts after my daughter developed severe allergies. They help so much if I'm cleaning or mowing the lawn. She has a winter mask as well with a small valve and filter pocket. Luckily for us, I have a stash of masks and filters so we are ahead of the game. I hope wearing them in the west becomes popular like in Asian countries. You can buy masks disposable, washable, colorful, fashionable. They have ones that have a gel pocket to prevent your throat from drying out while you sleep. Wish we had all these options here.

I seldom question the bizarre things I find around the house, but I sent my son a text asking if it was a kinky adult toy, or a discarded part of his C-pap machine for sleep apnea. He said it was for the machine. I was surprised he didn't try to talk me out of trying to turn it into a face mask for myself, but I guess he doesn't care now, since he's 1,000 miles away.

Yeah it’s true and even if you find them online we are being blocked form buying them if your not in the medical field. I need gloves And mask because I’m a essential business and I’m exposed to literally every customers car that.comes in yet I can’t find gloves,mask,or hand sanitizer. It’s just going to make the spread way worse since citizens can’t protect themselves.
@@whatfreedom7 Buy a bottle of inexpensive gin or vodka, and pour some in a smaller spray bottle, and take it with you when you go out...Use when washing your hands is not possible... Making your own mask 😷 is probably more practical these days, because they are hard to come by lately... And the same with gloves....
I just want to say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! I've searched and watched various videos on how to make face masks and all of them were ones that required an uncomfortable rubber band, or mainly a sewing machine. And worst thing they didn't speak during the tutorial just music playing. I have been given the opportunity to still go to work during this hectic time in EVERYONE'S life and I work at Walmart, and unfortunately many people don't know or respect one's personal space. Anyway your video has actually helped me (and my dyslexia) in breaking down the steps of how to make a mask and understand how to make them. So again thank you for taking the time to make your videos.

I attempted this , and it was extremely hard for me. I chose the black mask because it looked very aesthetic however it took me 3 hours. It was very fun to make. The measurements were to big for my face so I had to go back and fix it. But thank you so much for this video 💖

Woohoo! Just made one for myself following your dimension. Took me about 30 minutes. I'm a guy and unfortunately, it's a little small for my face. I'd need to make a bigger one to adequately cover my guy's face 😂. Meanwhile, my wife was quite impressed with the one I just made, and lucky me, it fits her perfectly. Us westerners wear them quite often (during flu season,allergy season, and during other break outs lol well at least here in Maryland but there has been such a shortage of everything though and stores are raising prices on items like these because they know everyone wants to buy them so this is definitely helpful. Stay safe and remember to disinfect your mask, change gloves often, and wash your hands often and everytime you take your gloves off

The 3rd one was the best could easily turn that into a useful mask if you did 1 more layer. First any mask you make out of cotton should be 3 layers minimum at least... 2nd. 2 of those layers should be a high thread count cotton. Thanks for the upload. Keep safe!

I love how simple you made them especially the last which I want to make. But iam not good with measurements as I never really sewed anything by machine or by hand. Hey thanks Ayan. With sewing I would say take it easy...and go slow. It takes patience but really nice to make something with your hand...with material do you not have a t-shirt or pillowcase to use? Thank you for the video and the music was so good!! The black mask u made is how I make my mask for made and my kids, but I add another layer so I can slide in a Honeywell #9 AC filter I took apart and cut to fit.. 💗 Stay Safe && God Bless
I’m glad to know I can also use a paper towel as face mask at home. Very easy to make with elastics and disposable. I do like the fabric one if I go out so it will look neat and also reusable. I made mine from socks cause it is what I have available and most people have in their household.

For the black 1 they say u shouldn't stich bc ur putting holes where u need protection most BUT with ur design u should leave the last end (after u turn it inside out) open so you can put kitchen paper in as a filter. Good job ,though I seriously recommend leaving 1 open side for a filter of ur choosing.
Thanks so much these are super easy. But I am in love with the hand-sewn mask. This was a super great tutorial, and despite it all very easy to understand. I have several face masks but, but they are K-pop related. I never thought it would be a thing, where I'm not the quirky girl with the mask on. Now still I'm the quirky K-pop girl with the cute mask, and people ask where I get them from.

That's what a kitchen towel is. I saw a doctor's pattern and it called for a kitchen towel and I wasn't sure what he meant. We call them paper towels. Thanks for clearing that up. Sharing. 💙🙏
Add 16 gauge wire to the nose. You can even get rose wire bundle a few pieces with flour tape and use that. But any craft store should have 16 gauge wire.
Mike Villa TRUE but the good thing about the filters is you don’t reuse u just place it on the inside and throw it out when ur done, for that trip or day or whatever. Probably will have to cut depending on the filter. With cotton, particles can still get through. That’s why people layer

Love the last one! But leave the one end open. That way you can put a coffee filter or paper towel inside for additional filter.

Anything you don't need that is cotton would do I think. I just used a cotton bag I don't really use. Can be a t-shirt or pillowcase

I’m glad to know I can also use a paper towel as face mask at home. Very easy to make with elastics and disposable. I do like the fabric one if I go out so it will look neat and also reusable. I made mine from socks cause it is what I have available and most people have in their household.

For the black 1 they say u shouldn't stich bc ur putting holes where u need protection most BUT with ur design u should leave the last end (after u turn it inside out) open so you can put kitchen paper in as a filter. Good job ,though I seriously recommend leaving 1 open side for a filter of ur choosing.

Thanks so much these are super easy. But I am in love with the hand-sewn mask. This was a super great tutorial, and despite it all very easy to understand. I have several face masks but, but they are K-pop related. I never thought it would be a thing, where I'm not the quirky girl with the mask on. Now still I'm the quirky K-pop girl with the cute mask, and people ask where I get them from.

That's what a kitchen towel is. I saw a doctor's pattern and it called for a kitchen towel and I wasn't sure what he meant. We call them paper towels. Thanks for clearing that up. Sharing. 💙🙏

Add 16 gauge wire to the nose. You can even get rose wire bundle a few pieces with flour tape and use that. But any craft store should have 16 gauge wire.

Mike Villa TRUE but the good thing about the filters is you don’t reuse u just place it on the inside and throw it out when ur done, for that trip or day or whatever. Probably will have to cut depending on the filter. With cotton, particles can still get through. That’s why people layer

A4 is the size of the paper to print on. Hope that helps
