    The burst from yesterday was a hard act to follow...but this Broadcaster is about as pure as I've ever heard. What a beautiful guitar;! Thank you!

      Was going to say the same thing. Just when you think how could it be any better, the vintage T-style guitars just mops the floor for me. I built a partscaster based on a Nocaster I heard on here, which was the best sounding guitar I've ever heard. Mines no slouch either

    I don't know if it's because I'm high, but this 'caster is in the top 3 of all' casters I heard in my young guitarist life. That playing was outta this world

    Such a pure sounding Tele (ok, Broadcaster). I could listen to Aaron play Teles/Broadcasters/Esquires all day.

    That guitar sounds amazing. It sure doesn't hurt that an ace like Aaron is playing it. Financial considerations aside, I'd rather have this Broadcaster than yesterdays Burst. Been missing the Pick of The Day series, hopefully they'll pop up more often. I love ECG!

      If really only 200 were made then it is actually rarer than a burst. I just somewhat doubt the production numbers and the rarity given the number of videos that I see where someone is selling a such-and
      -such rare guitar. Unless it is a small set of the same guitars in circulation constantly changing hands among multiple collectors, it seems hard to believe that such a high percentage of the known stock of these instruments are on the market.

    Did he use the blend circuit in the last part of the demo? I didn’t see him use it the rest of the time and that’s one of the more interesting things about the broadcaster. Jason Isbell said that the blend circuit really makes for some interesting tonal options if you have a telly with a humbucker in the neck position

    Gorgeous display of sound and beauty.. Is this guitar one of the 9.5" radius examples? i love the hot bridge pickups in these old beasts
    To anyone wanting a very close approximation, look at Bootstrap pickups Extra Crispy- its just the sound...

      You have raised an interesting question. I prefer the 7.25' radius myself and when they issued the 70th anniversary Broadcaster reissue it came with a compound radius. Someone told me that the originals came that way but I am rather skeptical. As far as I know the entire idea of a compound radius is relatively recent. And they may have decided to use it to appeal to more modern players.

    What a guitar. Its so nice that Aaron didn't play that standard chicken pickin country licks, not that there anything wrong with those licks there awesome, these slabs of Ash and maple are as we all know who play them are so versatile.

    I’m ready to buy it! Just need you to give me a 30 year mortgage because it’s more expensive than the first house I ever purchased but if you can I’ll do it 😂. The wife may divorce me but the broadcaster and I will be happy together.

    For the life of me I don't k now why all the Fender ancient reissues NEVER get the narrow 12th fret dot markers right. They go to so much trouble with everything else (Relic, etc) but the can't make those dots narrower??

    • @mbrooks0711
      @mbrooks0711 3 месяца назад

      It’s gotta be a tooled jig drilling those dots consistently across all the line and that particular detail isn’t worth the cost/effort/floorspace/process changes that it would take to have a narrow vs. normal spacing.
      It’s one of those things that takes no additional time or effort if I’m building it in my shop but for Fender cranking out 1000’s of guitars a day it’s probably a significant change.

  • @manonbassguitar

    It’s cool, but I have to still laugh because if you blindfolded the player & put 5 decent teles in their hands, most wouldn’t be able to pick out the old timer. Nice antique still.
