@Zesanactor Over-5 I think what he meant was the home console market. If maybe Sega of Japan and Sega of America had gotten along better and saw more eye-to-eye on things, they could've probably been still around today in the home console market. Sadly this isn't the case. But thankfully they held on not only as a 3rd party developer, but they make an absolute killing in the arcade machine market - from prize / skill machines to actual arcade hardware, they still dominate the market at the very least. It'd be amazing to see Sega make a comeback to the home console market, but I doubt it'll happen with how the mobile gaming market has taken off.
The bit when the Mark III gets swallowed up by the embryonic Mega Drive - which itself gets audaciously augmented with a Mega CD AND a 32X immediately after - is the greatest goddamn thing I've ever seen
I can't even understand what they're saying and this whole ending brings a tear to my eye - that's one hell of a requiem Sega's hardware history is giving itself.
This would've been the perfect finale if it were released as the last Dreamcast game. Admittedly saying that was rather stupid, but I'm just more referring to official releases. It's joyful to see many new games still being released for it!
It got released 2 days before Sega announced the end of the Dreamcast, so yeah, it was the last game released before this announcement and thus technically could fit for a perfect final sendoff.
If SEGA started selling consols this day. They would probably have enough money to make good high quality games beru easily. But all they have now is merchendise and games. They also have to start making games other than sonic. Nintendo
but sega is making high quality games ... Persona 5, yakuza 0 and kiwami, warhammer 40k, valkyria chronicles all came out this year... sonic mania and sonic forces are coming out this fall
It’s ”The justice ray, part 3” from the lost game ”Broken Thunder”. part 2 is the one played in Thunder Force V, and part1 is the one in the final stage on the game ”Blast Wind”.
@@uribe_ramon There is also Justice Ray Part 4 and 5. Part 4 was featured in Steel Roar 2 / Warship Commander 2, then Part 5 was featured in Gunhound EX.
That's kind of strange to say that. Wouldn't you have rather wish they were still in the hardware market instead of something that was not your favorite?
Now we got Astro Bot, which also uses Thunder Force music, but instead of fighting past consoles, the past consoles fight with you.
This game it's all about SEGA's history.
many references in the music, graphics, etc
I wish had a english tranaltion
if your interested in helping ive open a forum on romhacking and looking for volunteers
@@m.3.3.w id love to know more about it. Just got into dreamcast games
Maybe in some other universe SEGA Made it. I always wished SEGA would have held on. So many memories.

Bobby Ronaldo Where in the video does THAT happen?

I love how the Fantasy Zone bosses coming out of the Mark III use their actual attacks like in the games themselves!
The timing is beautiful at 33:02.
When The Justice Ray part 3 starts, that's when it gets real.
30:26 Love when the music changes to Shenmue.
I love that the blonde staffer was secretly Alis the whole time.

A true love letter to SEGA fans!

5:36: Pikachu

So you could say that SEGA literally shot themselves out of existance.
What's the music playing when fighting the console's? I can't find it anywhere...
The Justice Ray Part 3.
jonyalex Thanks a bunch, seriously. :D
I mentioned this earlier but if you like Sega hit me up. I am looking for volunteers to help revive the project.

Although Sega was my favorite, I'm glad that Sega left the hardware market in the long term. The console market is over-saturated.

Is that a Mutant Pikachu? LOL I knew already about the monstrous PS2's in the game, the Sony Dual SHock monsters, but hadn't seen that one before :P.
