'Honor Killings' Trial: Yaser Said's defense team claims police failed to properly investigate durin

- A Dallas jury unanimously found Yaser Said guilty of killing his two teen daughters, Sarah and Amina Said.
Judge Chika Anyiam sentenced Said to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Prosecutors said Said, a native of Egypt, was angry that his daughters were dating and that the boys were not Muslim. They claim in a 911 call from the night of the murders, Sarah said her father was attacking her.
Said's defense attorney said he will be filing a notice to appeal.

The little girl said 'my father shot me'. GIVE ME A BREAK...I HATE these bleeding heart social justice warrior defense attorneys. Using racism as a defense is DESPICABLE.
I hear you on this 100%!! They have to let him properly defend his case so we can sentence him. It's important that he's not able to appeal his case due to discrimination. He has been sentenced. Yet, it doesn't feel like any justice has been done 😔.
When people end their sentences with "okay?", it's condescending and annoying.
It should be illegal to lie as an attorney in court. Not because she believes this man didn’t commit the murders but because she told the jury that the only thing on the 911 call that was audible and coherent is that that beautiful young girl said she was dying but that’s not true… We can understand a lot more what she said and we can very clearly hear her say her father did it. Why does she get to stand up there and say otherwise? It’s so frustrating when you have these cases and somebody tries to give you a piece of evidence that’s totally ignoring reality
If he thought that killing her daughters is not wrong, why should he go into hiding for 12 years. GUILTY INDEED. The exact action of feeling guilty or committed a crime.
The fact that she starts it out saying she’s really passionate about this topic confused me… like what are you passionate about? Defending disgusting pedophilic murderers?
I wonder how this woman sleeps at night knowing she defends murderers and lies for them.
Too bad Patricia was not on trial as well. As far as the defence was way off with Naser she was rite spot on with Patricia.

The mail attorneys closing argument is that the investigators failed to do the right types of investigation for 10 years and I think it’s funny considering their client was the reason because he was in hiding for 10 years and they couldn’t exclude the father or get an alibi when he’s fully in hiding so I think it’s hilarious that they’re blaming that on the police

I have never watched somebody contradict themselves more than this woman has in every sentence she speaks and you can tell because she keeps pausing and walking herself into dead ends

Who is this attorney? She is terrible. I hope his conviction wasn't turned over for ineffective counsel. Her cross-examination of Henning and closing were sub par.
Jesus Christ this lady is all over the place… she goes back-and-forth between defending Patricia and demeaning Patricia and basically blaming Patricia for being sold to Yasir when she was a child getting pregnant when she was a child not finishing education because she was married off as a child and then she continues to talk about how nobody likes her but all the people who she says doesn’t like Patricia happened to also be incarcerated… she degrades the police for not investigating hard enough and then also degrades Patricia for trying to investigate… She also talks about how preferences are not a crime and talks about how everyone’s allowed to practice their own preferences And in the same breath admit that yeah Sara wouldn’t allow the girls to practice their own preferences and calls it discipline
This lawyer is so slow... you know when a lawyer is strong and with substance when she speaks... if she was a student presenting a demo in class... I guess they'll pass her... but in court... she made me feel like she doesnt know what she's saying... annoying that she will pause and read like she doesnt really know that much... not even the roaches will be convinced by her... ❌❌❌❌

I believe that Yasser Said murdered his two daughters In cold blood.
But, this does not exonerate the police for a horrible job.
They should have done better job investigating.
I don't know why this police department didn't video record the statements.
Many police departments in 2008 were already videoing statements all over the country.
The good thing is that the jury knew that Yasser killed his daughters, but if it was a different jury, they could have acquitted him because of the law enforcement's horrible investigative techniques.
I hope this is a lesson to all.
