Try not to judge her so harshly. I lived a similar life to hers with my 7 children and my Pakistani husband. It took me 25 years to finally get out. Left multiple times but he always had the control, he even found us at dv shelters so we’d have to leave.
She never fathomed he would kill them, I know that.
Until you’ve been there just try to have some empathy.

Patricia can miss me with the bullshit, honestly. Like… stop. Everyone should watch the documentary called ‘The Price of Honor’. Not only did the mom ignore her daughters when they revealed they were being sexually abused by their dad, but in the documentary, it shows their phone records, and it’s revealed that she was in contact with Yaser while she ran away, and it’s speculated that she KNEW Yaser was planning to murder them, and TRICKED them, bringing them back to Texas. Joseph’s mom, Ruth, showed more compassion and love toward the girls, and the scene where she visited their grave site was heartbreaking. Definitely watch the documentary. I watched the full trial, and Patricia is absolutely pathetic. She should be ashamed of herself.

Have you ever seen a weak woman under the spell of a man? I have multiple times throughout my life. I don’t understand it because I don’t feel that it could ever be me but those women are not me. She was manipulated and also abused by that man. Mentally and physically. I’ve seen Mother’s justify their child’s father’s bad behavior time and time again. I ask myself “ are these people serious?!! “. I do believe that she was aware of the abuse that went on for yrs. I also believe that Yaser convinced her that it was ok to come home and most likely that he was just mad and he was sorry. As I said before she is weak and she’s clearly manipulated very easily. When I first watch the documentary I disliked her a lot because I felt like she lied for him and tried to cover things up. I do feel that she was under that man’s spell though

I might be wrong, but i think she's in love with him. I believe she was groomed, i'm not a mother, but a mother who knows that her husband will kill her daughters would not give them to him, specially when you disappeard from his sight. But she stayed in touched with him the hole time and did what he wants. I would'nt be surprised if some how she became intouch with him while hi's in presion.

Like it was mentioned in court, he assured her that he wouldn't do anything and that all was forgiven, but he knows how to manipulate his family so well he was able to use them as his pawns. Also, the mother married very young. Obviously she was very naive and didn't know better. She didn't know how to protect her children from the monster she married. I believe if her own parents would have been smarter than to allow their 15 year old daughter to marry a 29 year old this all wouldn't have happened. He was red flag from the beginning.

He knew how to manipulate and assured that the daughters would be safe but it was a rouse and a lie. Don’t act like you know how you would act in this situation without being put in their shoes. I can only imagine the mental abuse he put her through at such a young age. she was groomed and was probably terrified of him. and not only him, but to have a family allow a 14 year old to be married to a guy that old shows what kind of home she came from. very sad all around.

She just gave him the most satisfaction anyone could’ve. Anytime a victims family gives a statement like this they are just giving them the opportunity to relish in what they have done. I would never give the person who committed the crimes that satisfaction.
That mother put her girls in jeopardy by going back - she should have left for good and never look back. The outcome of those two girls would have been so very different.

She took her daughters back to him when they had arranged to get themselves to safety away from him. If she is not guilty then the driver of a hit and run cant be held guilty either….he didnt pull the gun, just drove the get away….isnt this similar? I think this is a vulnerable woman with a low IQ and unfortunately, I have seen a few couples where a man is power hungry and narcissistic, so he marries a weak woman with limited intellect so that he can dominate her easily.
I worked for a lawfirm that represented disability clients. I had one client who had a 70 IQ. Her husband was of normal intelligence but was a horrible person. He routinely locked her in closets and denied her food. To her, it was warranted and she didn't question it. She would call me every other day, often from a closet or a cage, and rant on cheerfully (I actually enjoyed talking to her and she considered me to be her 'best friend.') She had no idea that she was being abused.

GOOD FOR HER! That was so hard to confront him face to face like that. We see him and feel nothing. She sees him and sees fear, hatred, anger, her abuser, her children’s abuser, danger, and control. I’m so proud of her. He can’t control the love she still has for her kids and certainly can’t take her love for herself. To see her abuser sitting there as nobody. Nothing. On death row. Inmates don’t treat child molesters and killer well. She doesn’t have to constantly be on edge that he could show up at any time. He’s not on the run anymore. I honestly believe that Patricia was more afraid of the nut job killing her and, that is why she took them back home when he called and, asked her to. As a mom and, a grandma myself, I would of told yaser, If you want your daughters to go back home, you will have to kill me first you POS. When I left my mentally abusive husband back in 1996, I took both my kids with me worked 2 jobs to support them and, got full custody. I never once put them in harms way. I knew my ex was a drunk and, an abuser so I kept taking him to court till I was awarded custody. Now they are adults and, I have a beautiful Grandaughter who I adore. Mothers have 1 job and, that is to love and, protect her children no matter what the cost. May Amina And, Sarah be R.I. Heaven where they are safe! 🙏🙏🙏

She obviously didn't believe deep down he would murder them. She will live all her life with her own guilt, what if's etc. At the end of the day he murdered them.
I don't think she did either. BUT, she knew how abusive he was, physically, verbally, emotionally and allegedly sexually. She knew thier lives would be hell with him. But she wanted to save her own skin so their were not that important apparently.
SHE KNEW HE WAS ABUSING THEM. FEAR IS NO EXCUSE...I COULD NEVER LET A MAN ABUSE MY CHILD...SHE IS ALSO GUILTY..A SON IN PRISON. SHE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT LOVE IS EITHER..GOD HAVE MERCY.
