If ride Pokémon are coming back, I could see us getting 5 regional forms / evolutions (Or mega's) for whatever those Pokemon would be, just like PLA (Whydeer, Ursaluna, Basculegion, Sneasler, and Braviary). X and Y even has the first 4 ride Pokemon ever in the franchise, being Gogoat, Ryhorn, Lapras, and Mamoswine. I could see GameFreak give those 4 new forms as call backs to the original ride-mons and we get to ride those new forms instead. They would just need to add a new flyer ride-mon and then they would be all set.
Vibrava & Flygon are more suitable for a regional form because both of them are in the same egg group being Bug & Dragon. Furthermore, Bug is the only type not to get a regional form. So Vibrava and Flygon are perfect for that Bug/Dragon type combination since Bug/Dragon is a type combination that was never used.
1: absolutely! Lapras in particular deserves some love. Gigantamax forms just didn't feel like a huge deal to me. 2: please, oh, PLEASE let them fix the clunky climbing (sneasler) mechanics! I love what they did with the mon itself, but having to pause for a full second every time you hit a slightly less sloped spot on the wall... JUST LET IT KEEP CLIMBING!!! sigh... rant over. 3: since the previous rides came from gens 2 and 5 and are supposed to be the additional side projects this go-round, I get the feeling that they'll pull from the generations 3 and... 7 maybe? Main point being, watch for patterns. PMC looooves patterns.
Pokemon I'd want to see again... That would be some Hoenn Pokemon (Manectric, Aggron, Gardevoir, Sceptile, Altaria, and Salamence). I'm not counting Legendaries in though because I don't know if Legendaries with Megas/Primal forms would make it in at all
In my opinion the Starters will be Snivy since 2025 is the year of the snake plus like all the symbolism of the French royalty, Torchic because chicken is a staple in French Cuisine and it being the Special Event Pokemon they gifted for a limited time when they initially released X&Y and Piplup due to Kalos being based on France and Empoleon on Napoleon. Also these starters were in the same clip in the trailer for the Area Zero DLC as the ones for Legends Arceus!!
I feel like it's safe to assume that the Pokemon they will choose are from the Kalos Pokedex, which hopefully means the elemental monkeys, the patrat line, and spinda will be available, as well as the Pokemon that are only on BDSP as of right now like the Clamperl line and Skitty line. The exciting part will be seeing what Pokemon from gens 7-9 come back with forms as we saw in Legends: Arceus, and I could see them giving Archaludon an Eiffel Tower inspired evolution or mega evolution.
Some people forget that not all Mega Stones get a "nite" but all Mega Stones get an "ite". Sometimes they get cut a bit so you don't get a super long Mega Stone name such as Abomasite, Alakazite, and Sablenite. So as funny as Dragonitenite would be, I think it would probably be Dragotite or Dragosite.
Mega Heracross back in the day was a beast. I mean ya give it pin missle and bullet seed (yeah for some reason it let me give it bullet seed back then) with the Mega Ability it had back then you could always hit 5 times unless you defeated the opposing Pokemon before that. Man I used to LOVE doing that with mega Heracross.
I always would love to see the Vulpix line make it into as many Pokemon games as possible. :) You never know. They did add Sylveon to PLA, which surprised me, since that evolution didn't appear in gen 4 back in the day. Maybe in the past there will be a lot more Pokemon showing up than what the Pokedex in gen 6 shows to be currently in Kalos. I would certainly hope so. PLA had way over 200 Pokemon in the Pokedex. PLZA could have over 500 or 600 since gen 6 is so big and because GF seems to like to add way more Pokemon to the Pokedex nowadays anyways, which is a great thing. :)
I hope AZ's Floette debuts here; I also hope for new Megas Also, it's probably going to be 450+ Pokemon because it has all the Pokemon from the Kalos Pokedex, with few extra such as Kingambit and Dudunsparce
I'm a really rare Sunflora fan... I LOVED that it got so much love in the last game, and would be over the moon to see it again... a mega could really get it into the spotlight. Also Ledian needs one desperately 😭😭
This might not be the video to post this on but oh well… I really think this game is going to symbolize “going back to the beginning”. That’s why it’s Kalos and why mega evolution is coming back. The ultimate weapon is what started all of these gimmicks (megas, dynamax, z-moves, and terastalization). We’re going to find out the history of it and what it all means. I believe we will start in the future and go to the past. I know this probably won’t happen but I hope that they decide that this is the end of this chapter of pokemon and that gen 10 is a reboot of the series.
It would be save to assume that all the Generation VI Pokemon (native to Kalos) and all the Pokemon that are capable of Mega Evolving would/could be in Pokemon Legends Z-A. It would be interesting if the game introduced some new Mega Evolutions. And It's a wonder if Pokemon Legends Z-A might introduce a couple of entirely new Pokemon and some new Regional Forms like Pokemon Legends Arceus did 🤔.
I was thinking that surely they won’t put all 48 old Megas in this legends. I think they’ll maybe put in 25-30 of the previous megas and do 20 new ones. It also makes sense to not put them all in as competitive probably won’t be in ZA like Arceus. So therefore surely they’ll have megas in gen 10 too so that people can use the new megas in competitive

I'd honestly like to see a console version of Elestrals, I can see the potential in that.Also one of my favorite pokemon already has a mega evo but if I had to choose a new one I would like to see Mudsdale get one. I've ran him on almost every team since his release and is just a strong powerhouse.

Since PLA had regional forms with Alphas, I assume ZA will have regional with megas. So no Alpha Mega pokemon. I can't see them adding multiple gimmicks at once.
I can agree on that and i think they should add Alolan and Galar Pokemon in the regional Dex since they did include both Unova, Kalos AND Alolan Pokemon in the Hishi region BEFORE it was renamed Sinnoh.

I think Jynx, Dragonair, Dragonite, Vibrava and Flygon are more suitable for a regional form. Jynx deserves a regional form because just like how Mr. Mime got a Galarian form/evolution in Sword and Shield. A regional Jynx should be Ice/Poison, a type combination that was never used. Dragonair & Dragonite should get a regional form in Pokémon Legends Z-A similar to how Sliggoo and Goodra got a Hisuian form in Legends Arceus. Vibrava and Flygon should get a regional form because both Vibrava and Flygon are in the same egg group being Bug and Dragon. Furthermore, Bug is the only type not to get a regional form so Vibrava and Flygon will be the first Bug/Dragon, a type combination that was never used.

I might have a theory, but it might be a stretch. We started with Legends Arceus in past Sinnoh, this will lead to be the A. BDSP the remakes of course of Diamond and Pearl with I guess Giritina (so Platinum?) included the miss of Arceus in the originals, which was supposed to be in the original making, Legends Arceus being the A as it was missed content. Clearly Z being Zygarde and already figured Kalos for Legends Z. I'm guessing also missed content AKA the missed Pokemon Z game, the setting of course in the trailer is past Kalos specifically starting Lumiose City. Z-A it's not just ZA they define the - before the A and the Z connects to the A. I believe Zygarde is gonna attempt to become God with his final form, or a new final form, and a new Arceus form, his true form, will intervene. Otherwise I'm going with Zygarde fuses with Arceus. Does that sound plausible?

In Legends Arceus, Pokémon don’t have Abilities… and a big part of Mega Evolutions is the Abilities they get. So are Pokemon getting Abilities this time? Or are they gonna do something different? That’s the question
